PagePool Changer

Hi,
I was looking on this thread :

I want to set PagePool to 0mb on any rom I want to install on my HTC Diamond.
Does any body report a success on this modification,
I have heard that this change will make HTC Diamond running faster.
So, I hope any body have test it on HTC Diamond Rom before me.
So waiting for success story.

Tried this changer, but it don't work to Diamond, I think.
At least DevHealth show the same, as before - 8M.

I have try the last version (2.21)
and after change page pool of dutty rom to custom 0 value, save it
close, reopen same rom, I have the custom 0mb sets !
I have test on TOR which is know to have set's his pagepool to 0mb, and I see it !
So, I think it's ok, but ... I'm wondering if I do a flash with that, I don't have any risk of breaking my phone.
and will I show more speed that before ?
I can test it myself, for speed, I just want to know if any body have test the lastest version without any prob

I have used v2.21 with Dutty's ROM v1.9 and I have set PP to 0 MB.
Flashed, and it works without any problems.

I have used the pagepool changer alongside a few of my roms, and have now come to the conclusion in terms of speed and stability, tweaking the rom rather than changing the pagepool is a lot more stable and less memory hungry.
I have watched my diamond crash a few times now using a zero pagepool, and am now using a default 6mb as before...

I will try it myself just for knowledge
On TOR rom, I have seen that AudioManager crash ofter, perhaps is tools like tomtom that make it crash, but perhaps is the pagepool 0 ...

my audio manager has never crashed.perhaps u should try my v3 wich im uploading right now. I call it THE-ONE cause its a full port of RAPHAEL with many fixes

So could you provide OS version ??? is it still base on Official version (little bit old so ...)
People I have talk about of your rom (v2) has found that the speed is nice, but can't install all tool they usually use (I have made a pack with .NET3.5 by default, so test with that)
For exemple : Skype don't work, I don't know why, I don't use it (I prefer VoIPbuster, which don't need my phone or wifi to be used )
so v3 is base on what ?

Original P3600 rom!

Hello everyone!
First of all I'd like to say that I love this forum! I already taked a lot of things for my P3600 here! Today I'm using Karmba_a Diamond Black 11.3, but I'm always trying new ones!
Who knows here could I found the original ROM of P3600? Yeah... That with WM5. I'd like to make a compare between the roms to watch the memory performance. I'm looking for a rom version with only the WM6 without any program like TouchFlo and others. Anybody know anything about it!?

Do you know any tips to improve memory performace of it?! I'm having some memory problems when using some softwares like Destinator 7. Sometimes it goes down when I'm using it... It happen with other softwares.

Due to the Trinity's low starting memory, the BEST memory tip I can give is to upgrade to a Diamond... Just Kidding...
tnyynt's roms give about the best memory management available in my opinion. Others might have other opinions, but I've been able to run programs on 016TNYBSN that I haven't been able to run stable on other ROMs.

I'd some problems to install those roms that you said to me early. All roms that I'd downloaded were corrupted. So I prefer to install the Original Rom for this phone... WM5 =( For while it's very fine to me. Low memory used...
I'll try to install Manila 2D do see how fast or slow it become.

I had installed Manilla 2D and I saw performance went down! So I remove it and I found SPB Mobile Shell. It's a cool menu manager and is more lighter than others!?
Anybody knows here can I look for good applications for WM5?
I saw some cab lists here, but I didn't get anything cool.

Dynamic page pool, only 19M free RAM
First impression- it seems this rom has a page pool set to zero. Although the phone is amazingly fast, It has only 20M free RAM initially, without trying to install anything. Also- the memory vary down to 16M from time to time without any open app. SKTOOLS makes it 21M but it is too low for my needs. I have changed PP to be 2M and will re-flash and report.
Besides that, from 4 minutes playing with it, very nice look and feel. Will keep posting results soon.

Great ROM but not for me
So sorry to say that, but I can't have a use of this rom. i love everything about it, really, It is well cooked, with everything i need and very little to add.
But it has too much RAM occupied all the time. I tried canceling tasks and gain memory and it does not get enough free RAM for me. To begin with only 48M RAm are available (Chanvi gets 51M) and about 65%-66% is taken at all times without any plugin. iGO will not run properly with less than 20M RAM free. I am short 4-5M to be happy, so although i really think it is one hack of a rom, I can't use it for my needs.
If you don't need memory like i am- I recommend it. Best SIP/Keyboard and GUI I have seen up to date... just memory kills me.

Last V49 was good and I believe that this one is good too. I am against mixing of Manila2D and Titanium especially for Trinity. We need as much free RAM and Storage as we can get. So there is no need to have two interfaces. I tried to contact PhamQuang but without any success so am asking you people especially you arnooo to try to arrange with PhamQuang to cook Titanium only ROM.

Guys, if you want to have a lot of free RAM, my advice is stop using Manila2D or TF3D especially on WM 6.5!

The rom has a bug "RING TONE" - This ring tone file is corrupted or unavaible please choose a different ring tone .. the ring tone are all corruped

cool nathing wrong , no bugs . the file running smoothly . cross check again .

Ring tone file is "corrupted" I reinstall again and still same!

Ahhh, great advice. I don't use CHome, M2D and SPB when I need RAM freed. I turn today plugins off when I need memory yet even as 'naked' this rom is about 10M short of memory. Chanvi has cooked some better memory sensitive roms than that. However- as far as GUI and beauty, I like this one better. So in the matter of chosing between beauty and memory, alas, I chose Chanvi's.
There is no one Oz. of criticism here. Just an opinion.

This is a great rom I have had a good play with quite a few now and this one seems to be the better one as far as speed. I had a few problems with getting tomtom 7.9 to work but over come these all ok now.
GREAT WORK.

I tried to install this rom from as much as 4 different computers running XP and Vista, and could not flash. Every time the RUU gives me the Error 200 saying I must update the flashing tool. I tried the same ROM image with different RUU versions and none of them seems to work.
Am I missing something??

downloaded it twice from different pc-s, different networks must be something else

It works grat. I really like the look, and it's really fast. Only problem is that it eats too much memory. I hope newer version will be bit more optimized.

Do you have SPL and radio rom updated. Try this link http://trinityguides.info , and try to update this first.
Do you have p3600 or p3600(I)? Very important!
This ROM is for P3600.

Maybe something happened with that SPL. The last thing that I can suggest to you is to try to flash the HARD SPL again. Im using Des' Crash-Proof SPL and I think that I also had a problem with the Olipro.
Do you flashing from the three color screen or from the booted device?

Looking for a simple ROM

while i know all the rage is with the TouchFLO and other GUI's, i really don't want them. I like SPB Shell so much better since it's very customizable as to where and what you want on your screen.
with that being said, i would like a simple ROM with just the basics like:
internet sharing
3d drivers (if possible)
VC
contacts
camera
remote desktop
active sync
adobe
comm mananger
IE (with PIE)
java
notes
pictures and vid
sim manager
voice recorder
ZIP and
GPS apps (quick gps and maybe tomtom or garmin).
no opera or youtube or fancy tele-pad (it actually interferes with Privus Caller-ID). I install a lot of my own apps like Core Player and games.
is there such a ROM for a user like me? I find all these extra UI's to take up a lot of space which otherwise can be used more efficiently.
if there is such a ROM, please direct. Thanks!!

Hi, i dont like 6.5, tried 3 ver, and don't like it at all.
Is there some completely verified and lite ver 6.1
Don't have the nerves to download and try couple of them...

try the lite versions of either ENERGY rom or GEN Y rom they are dependable roms
but i would like to reinstate that roms are ery personal things and experiences vary among users depending on their core needs...

Quick question on clarity:
IF i download the RUU, do I still have to hard-SPL my diamond? i don't seem to understand what Hard-SPL is used for if RUU is packaged in the ROM upgrade.

OK, so i tired to get Hard-SPL to get on my Diamond and failed.
apparently i have hard-spl 1.93 vs. 1.23/24?!?!????
what are my options now? i would like to try different radios (maybe even the polaris' radio since i get GPS lock no longer than 2 minutes while the diamond 1.00.25.08 takes... well, if it did would be a miracle).
how now brown cow? what can i do now to get newer/better radio roms?

i notice that the game flight comander run slow when i tried in my custom rom, but in stock rhodium 2.1 runs fast.
what can i do? i only have delete manila nothing else in my rom.

What OS have you cooked in? What is your stock OS?

I am using the stock -HTC Touch Pro2-WM6.5-RUU_Rhodium_S_HTC_ELL_1.86.482.1_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship.exe but the same hapen and with the others stock roms 6.5

6.5 will always be more RAM hungry than 6.1
No matter if it´s cooked or "original"

try installing some graphix drivers and see what they do. Like the AtmDng3d driver or the Neopack2007 multipack 2d/3d or ummm ,,damn, i forgot the last one but u can use the forum search to find the threads. I have the AtmDng3d driver installed in my tilt 2. It definitely makes the phone UI very fast as far as being fluid and not choppy. ive done simple tests to compare the differents ones. plus theres tests u download also. id recommend the one i have installed in mines. or it could just be something with the new rom u got.
Question for you, where can i download flight commander at or some other good games thats graphically intense to test my driver somemore?
