I have Opera Mobile installed as the default browser.
How come when I click a link in an Outlook message, it opens in Pocket IE? I can't find a setting to change this. Does anyone know a solution?
(I get MLS listings from my realtor that don't open in PIE, yet open fine in Opera. PIE receives 50Kb of data from the site and then starts over opening the page again. Is there some other problem here?)
I'm running WM6 Pro 2.5 Black (Buzzing)
Opera 8.6
Running the latest LVSW, with Opera 8.65, and links in Outlook opened in Opera when it was set to the default browser in the Opera settings.
I'm having this problem too. Did you find a solution? I am running official Tytn WWE WM6.
Thanks.
Menneysys started a new 3d four months ago. At that time the trick worked only in WM6 PRO devices, using mortscript. (MY) MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH: now, you can use Opera Mini as the system-level Web browser!
After some days the WM6 standard fix was done, but now HERE has been posted a simple CAB to set opera mini as default web app. I've tested and it works flawless in Kavana's (should be the same in Ricky's) ROM.
I have Opera Mini as default web browser now, opening web links in e-mail, contacts, ... !
Thank you! This worked perfectly. Do you know of any way to bypass the jbed security messages on Kavana's WM6.1 ROM?
The Jbed is part of the ROM, so I can't find the files that some of the previous hacks mentioned.

I found a link here in the forums on how to bypass the security messages. Click the link below. Great fix!

Hi everyone
I wonder if i can update the pre-installed opera.
Currently i installed Opera 9.5 (parallel to existing one) beta as my pre-installed opera often crashed.
It is so fuzzy that the link that i saved will not be displayed on the Old opera in TouchFlo unless i open the beta...
Can anyone direct me an thread talking about this ( i searched but no thread is about that)
Thanks so much!!
Looks like opera has finally released the beta of opera 9.7 mobile browser!!

oops sorry.....
opera vs skyfire 10
I have both new opera mobile and newskyfire 10.
my thought on the 2,is that skyfire has opera 9.7
beat hands down.with new skyfire, rendering is
a lot faster and new zooming feature is better.also I don't have to worry about getting
flash to work, flash videos play just like on desktop
with no lag.one other thing is that you keep
your speed without having to disable something
to download. I will try and post both cabs and opera widgets

rendering looks crap on skyfire imho ... you have to zoom in to not see everything blurry .. and opera definately has the better, more fingerfriendly controls.

best fastest most reliable mobile browser ever tried and far better than 9.5 screen rotation has been real improved and with respect to the battery killer and connection sucker skyfire this 9.7 Opera is the best to have in your pocket
Skyfire is not a web browser, it's a remote desktop client. You're using it to view the page that's being downloaded and rendered on a server. The server then sends you a screenshot of what it has rendered.
Maybe in US you have a skyfire server close and through a high bandwidth link, but outside US it's too slow, you zoom and you see an JPG zoomed for several seconds. Also, the bandwidth it uses is bigger, which can be an issue if you use Internet on the road and not through WiFi / Activesync.
I used to be quite happy with Opera but about a week ago something happened - it takes exactly 45 seconds for Opera to launch.
I went to opera website but I was not able to find the 9.5 so I could reinstall, only the 9.7 beta.
Any other ideas?
greg
The original 9.5 is located in your windows folder, in case you want to reinstall. It's part of the rom.
i found the file but taping on it does not do anything. it is a large file, almost 10MB. Is this the CAB to reinstall Opera? it does not seem to work.
it fixed itself.... stupid thing
