Hi, I searched but couldn't quite find the anwser.
I am sending in my Vogue back to BELL for a warranty replacement. I have unlocked the phone and installed a custom rom (NFSAN 1.31 Bell).
I unlocked the phone using coke 2.31, and I need to relock and install the original Bell Rom before I send it off for warranty replacement. Any help is appreciated, as I don't know how to relock the device. I have the latest Bell rom ready to install, but I dont want the load screen to show coke-2.31 when it is being assessed for replacement.

Search for a vogue relocker.
Put this into google: "vogue relocker xda ppcgeeks"
without quotes, should pull up anything about a vogue relocker on ppcgeeks and xda. if i get some time i'll search for it also later tonight, but don't count on that!!
also before you relock it, you'll have to flash to bell's stock 6.1 rom.
search htc.com for that.
if you look good enough for those, you should find it.
I was able to relock the device by installing the coKe 0.40 unlocker, and then installing the stock Bell rom from the HTC site on top of that. It seems to have worked.
Is there any other way to verify that the device is locked and in its original state? How do i enter bootloading state without actually installing another ROM?
SPL-2.01.0000
CPLD-3
Is what the bootloader displays. I assume this means the device is in its original state?
press and hold the power and camera button and hit the soft reset button. Keep holding the power and camera buttons and it will bring you to the boot loader screen. I don't know what it should say if it's locked though

I have an HTC S621 with a provider of Cenntennial. I recently tried upgrading to WM6 but I lost power-- now I'm stuck in the bootloader screen. I downloaded a WM6 ROM to try and reflash from the bootloader but it said not the right update utility or something like that.
Will WM5 ROM do the trick? If so, does anyone have a link to one?
Thanks!
You will need ANY upgrade file from Centennial. Unless your phone is CID unlocked, which I highly doubt. Just go to their website or something and see if they have any OS downloads..or Google!
Cenntennial has been nothing but a stick up my ass since I signed with them.
Okay, so I'm probably just going to pay and get it unlocked. Soo.. can it still be unlocked even when stuck on the bootloader screen?
Press the camera button and hold it down for about 5 seconds, then plug it in to a USB connected to your computer while still holding down the camera button... and now you can flash your phone with the original (official) rom the phone came with... you can find the official rom below in my signature...
He already IS in bootloader mode.. doh. And the official ROM isn't in your signature...

Nevermind, its been a long day... I thought he had T-mobile...
Can it still be unlocked even when stuck on the bootloader screen?
Ok i bought my vogue unlocked w .41 (nonGPS) and since i have had it i have been unable to relock or upgrade unlocker to 2.31. I am trying to get it flashed with a custom GPS rom that i can set to MetroPCS. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
I'm nowhere near an expert on this, but did you try upgrading to the latest ROM posted on HTC.com? I hear this will relock your device and enable GPS/Rev A, and after that you can install your unlocker and custom ROM.
This is assuming it is a Sprint Touch since I'm not sure if other Touches have the same GPS/Rev A ROM available direct from HTC.

All the info you need is here and to relock the vogue click here google is your best friend.
Good luck
tried all of that. Im running the sprint 1.12/2.13 original stock rom. Any other updated stock rom flashed my radio away (thanks to .41 unlocker that will not get the f*#k off my phone!). Imcokeman's .40 and 2.31 fail to relock or upgrade to 2.31. Ive had this phone for about 3 weeks now trying to get it switched to Metro. Getting very frustrated.
nvm, im a dumb ass. I've been extracting unlockers and running just the RUU. Big mistake. just got it relocked.
hi guys, can some please help me on this. im a bit stock. i am on tmobile network and have a DHD and i would like to return to stock. i have gone to the HTC Desire HD files but i dont know which one to use for me to return back to stock. can anyone tell me which one it is or post a link for me please as i dont want to flash the wrong one. I really need it as i need to send it back for repair. I really need it asap. Also i have 1 problem, my volume up button is stuck and when i turn my phone on, it vibrates 3 times and the orange light just flashes. is there a way to sort this out?
Since you want to send it to repair, ask them to repair the "stuck" volume button problem.
here is the link to go back to stock.

Here is also a little shorter version from jkoljo's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=857537):
"To go back to S-ON:
•Flash stock ROM (RUU)
•Temproot using Visionary
•Use my tool, do Stock CID and S-ON (enter brand CID if you had a branded device, see second post)
•Enjoy your factory-state phone"
And here is the RUU for Telus DHD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932771 (Notice that I'm not sure if this is the recommended version for your phone but this is the only one I could find with a quick search)
@hedayat7
Thanks for exactly copying one of my posts but it isn't the Telus RUU that he needs
@Rawdi
Was your phone branded when you got it?

i dont know if it was. how do i know if it was? please help me. i love my DHD too much for it to turn into a coaster. if i send it back to tmobile, even though i have rooted it, does it void the warranty?
What exactly did you do when you flashed a custom rom (assuming you did)?
@Hawks556 , hehe .. very lazy to type new post, found yours and copy paste.
btw, credit to Hawks556 . hehe

nothing, i have the leedroid rom and what i did was a restart as it was playing up a bit. when i did the restart, the 3 vibrates started and the orange light started to flash. i went in to CWM and did a key test and the volume up button did not respond so i take it is stuck. the way that i go into CWM was i plugged in my charger and the CWM comes up. i really dont know what i can do. also i dont want tmobile to know that i rooted my DHD as i heard it voids the warranty. any ideas on what i can do?
I meant how did you flash it? Did you have to use a goldcard etc? Did your phone have any t-mobile logos anywhere (eg bootanimation) when it was running stock rom? If not then you can do this:
- Flash stock ROM (RUU http://xdafil.es/DesireHD/RUU/RUU_A....140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe)
- Temproot using Visionary
- Use my tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537), do Stock CID and S-ON (enter brand CID, should be T-MOB005 for t-mobile uk)
Above steps were provided by jkoljo
Also messing with the software shouldn't really void the warranty because the defective volume button is solely a physical fault. There could ofcourse be a dispute of somekind, but in the end they have no right to refuse warranty service.
This could though become o problem if you have any software related warranty issues in the future.
I'm currently running a custom ROM/Recovery. How would I go back to 100% evcerything stock?

(your avatar says t-mobile, throws us off.)
since you did you unlocking through htc DEV unlock (one can only assume anyway) you technically can't go back to full 100% stock.
your boot loader will always say unlocked or relocked.
S-OFF *may* be able to set you back to 100% stock but I forgot.
I would, ADB fastboot oem lock
this will change it back to "relocked" rather than "unlocked"
Verizon will still know you did HTC DEV unlock and technically can deny your warranty as you broke it by doing the HTC DEV unlock.
Personally though, I've sent back MANY HTC DEV unlocked phones to Verizon without re-repercussions.
I've been on Samsung for the past year though, so things may have changed, take what I say with a grain of salt.
hope this helps some.
Sorry! I forgot to change it from T-Mobile to Verizon when I recently switched. Anyways yes I was able to unlock via htcdev. Right now I'm running a custom rom and CWM custom recovery. I don't need to take my phone in or anything like that, I just want to return back to stock. Basically I'd like to go back to the software/recovery/everything that was running on the phone out of the box. How would I do this? Is there a link to the default recovery/rom, is that all there is to it?

Until/IF, we get an RUU.. (don't hold your breathe for one)
you can't.
Sorry.
You could try and exchange it with another member who is stock and wants htc dev unlock?
AFAIK there is no stock recovery.img anywhere, not 100% though as I haven't searched.
Stock ROM you should have made a nandroid, if u didnt u can flash my stock deodexed ROM.
So with the release of the new S Off exploit is there any updated info to a full return to stock for warranty exchange that would leave you with a locked flag?
Sorry just found info in the General section!
Here is the Verizon HTC One RUU posted in the Android Development section - [RUU] Decrypted VZW RUU
The OP of the RUU mentions this is the decrytped version, and you need to use a tool called ruuveal to re-encrypt the RUU

yeah, i dont even think about paying 25$ to s-off...
and i have one more problem: i got "Software status : Modified", i want it Official (Original), do i need s-off to make it ?
i was searching some threads and i found that flashing RUU can solve this problem but i can find RUU from my carrier (Plus, Poland)
Just a thought... 25 dollars to s-off could save you getting charged for your repair if they see you're "relocked" and deny your warranty. ?

i know but its a "mechanical" issue not the software so they should reapir it even bootloader is unlocked ;P but i want be sure they'll do it without any problems
is possible to make Software Status : Official from Modified ?
(S-ON)
Is 25$ s-off way , can be use multiply on my device ?
You'll need S-OFF to completely return to stock with no tampering signs.... But, if they don't send you back your same device , you would need to purchase Sunshine again unfortunately. Or stay s-on.
Sunshine license is for one device only.
If they send same unit back, yes, it will work again.
But switching back to s-on is really not necessary when you send it in. I've sent mine in with s-off and many others have without issue. But that's your call. ?
