Adding 1% battery display to Bell 6.1 Rom - Touch CDMA Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi all,
I was running a modified version of the Bells 6.1 from since last Sept which included the 1% display with Pocket Plus. I re-flashed with the official rom from the HTC site a few days ago and realized that the official rom doesn't have the 1% display, just 10%. I would like to have the 1% display back. Does anyone know how I can add it back? I tried nuepower with no success. It just show 0%/charging in the Pocket Plus battery meter. TIA!

This file will do it for you. I had it running on my stock Touch before I upgraded to NFS's RoM

Great!! Thanks!!

no problem

Which WM 6.1 ROM are you using.

I am considering going to one of the WM 6.1 ROMs. To those of you who have installed one (or more) which one do you like and why? Thanks for any advice.

I have tested all the 6.1 ROM's that are currently available for the Excalibur. I believe all parties involved in bringing us this new innovative 6.1 ROM technology have done a superb job. As it stand of this writing, I will have to say that Rick's 6.1 v5 ROM is KING DOG OF ALL 6.1 ROM's for the Excalibur. Personally, I have been able to do a lot of creative things with his ROM that I could not do with other 6.1 ROM's. One of the main thing that I love about Rick's 6.1 v5 ROM, it has no battery drain or memory loss that I have experience thus far. Another thing, I like the speed and the ability of his ROM to carry and run a ton of multi media apps with machine like precision with no lag.......!
I'm running 080314, but I plan to upgrade to 080318 final soon. I do have a few issues with 14 that I am expecting 18 to fix.

Direct your attention to the bold text: What kind of a statement is this? You ABSOLUTELY can do any and all of the customizations that are currently out there with any 6.1 ROM released. There is nothing outrageous or particularly special about Rick's v5 other than a ROM built with added customizations. Rick just provided a ROM with these customizations so that users would not have to install them and tweak registry settings themselves; in other words, he did the work for you so you could just flash the ROM and be done. However, not everyone wants or uses these tweaks and customizations.
That being said, I would suggest to goraps to look at Kavana's 080318 final, and then compare it to any of Rick's 6.1 releases to determine which he wishes to use. But I would like to stress the importance of starting from "scratch" (Kavana's 18 final) before jumping into something more developed and "tweaked out".
Kavana's 080318 final
Only prob is I don't like the thin font. I would prefer the standard Tahoma.
Rick Rom rules
I use Rick's 6.1 v5 ROM and (don't know how if Rick didnt change nothing important) i have much more free memory all the time maby that is a reazon im finding Rick's Rom much faster. There is one little problem i;m looseing network outside city (moveing to countryside) i was trying few diferent roms and still have same problem Even my wifes SE k510 is better but it has to be problem with phone however i dont think its broken just chinese (no offece) I;m considering buying one of Nokia (n95) or Motorolla V9 but i will miss all Excalibur funcionalitys
Sry 4 my english... hope its unerstendable
O.. and special thx to Kevana U did great job with 6.1
Well I upgraded last night and I used Rick's after I was unable to get Kavana's to work on my phone. I kept getting the 270 error so I went with Ricks and it worked like a charm. So far I really like it. I will see what happens after I have had a chance to play around for a while.
I use latest Kavana's ROM - 080330
And works fine. I see some new Radio - need a couple of days to see is there any differences.
I just don't like colorful icons on top in Ricky-s version

I don't know why but any 6.1 ROM is killing my battery now. They eat my battery like hell (30% cpu for 3 hours doing nothing). Thing are normal when I come back to WM6. I'm waiting for official 6.1 ROM now

I think it's the sliding panel homescreen. After I changed to t-mobile default blue homescreen. The battery is fine now.

gprofile

Hi, I've installed GProfile on my phone twice - it works well enough, but each time I've had massive battery drain - is there anything I can change/anyone else had a similar experience?
Thanks.
Are you using the latest version? I read this was fixed on a later version. Also do you use anything like SEVEN or any data intensive applications?
Thanks for replying.
Not sure about which version I'm using, I THINK it's 6.2? Not running any intensive apps though.
How can I add some ringTones to GProfile???
Hi friends...
I would like to add some new RingTones from my PC to my Pocket PC.
I can copy them to /documents/ringtones and it's working for WM6.5 to add new ringtones to windows...
but I can't add them to my Gprofile (G Profile) menu and I can't choose my favorite ringtone in Gprofile.
I'm using Gprofile 1.1 built 1123 (the last version until now)
help me plz, where can I add new ringtones for my Gprofile???
Hey guys,
take it easy and go to the developers website with forum. There will get help for all quesyions and you can read so many stuff.
main page = www.ageye.de
forum = forum.ageye.de
Today on sunday at 08:43 european time the website is under Maintenance Service...
EDIT:
Since 19:00 european time the website is back (the moment where i have this tested, possible the site was back much earlier)
Hi!
I've also had the massive battery drain issue with G-Profile. According to the developer it's ROM related, so I guess it works on some ROMs and not on others. Maybe it has something to do with which WinMo build it's running. Also it can be related to what kind of profiles you're using. Those which are network dependent (auto switch on location for example) naturally draws more battery.
The latest G-Profile version is build 0401 (1st of april 2010). I've tried it on two Energy ROMs, one with WinMo 21905 and MaxSense back in June and one recently with WinMo 21682 and CHT 2 beta. I guess it's not a CHT/MaxSense issue since both of them had the massive battery drain even with no network activated profiles or auto switching (about 40-50% less battery in the morning after just lying in standby mode overnight with all radios except phone turned off).
So, all you people using it please tell me which ROM you're using and if it works or not. And also what kind of profiles you're using. I really like this app and will use any ROM to get it to work.
Cheers,
Tummen

Battery life on WM6.5

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that battery life on the TP2 is $hite after upgrading from WM6.1 to 6.5?
Using 6.1, I used to have Phone, Bluetooth and WiFi on all day at work, and get home and still have 60% batttery left.
Now, I have to turn off Bluetooth when it's not in use, and WiFi, and will be lucky to get home with more than 30% left.
Battery or unit hasn't been damaged or anything, and the only change was flashing the new WWE ROM through it.
I noticed an decrease in battery life too. That, the high memory usage, and the general feeling that the 6.5 ROM isn't as stable as the 6.1 ROM has made me flash back to WM6.1.
yup, same here.
Battery is dropping much faster, as well as higher mem usage.
Also the information tab of the power icon constantly says not applicable even though I have fully charged the unit numerous time already.
Yes, bettery life on my handset has been reduced. I've disabled all the push internet and removed a couple of the touch flo tabs to see if this will help. I think the new weather panel could be contributing.
i had the same not applicable issue, but yesterday i used the phone until battery was less than 10% and then charged it fully. now it's ok
Flashing back to 6.1?
Can you actually flash back to version 6.1? I thought that the upgrader wouldn't let you go back a version?
I do have the original HTC 6.1 ROM file and would do it, but I don't want to completely brick the unit.
The batttery info tab does the same on mine... so that's no good.
I've turned off all the push functions and the program quick-start cache and, at first, my memory availaibilty nearly doubled. However, it won't get back to those levels, even after a soft reset. I've tried Pocket Mechanic to clean out redundant RAM, dead process threads the lot... no joy.
There's other bugs too... when you rearrange the folders using Resco Explorer to drop them into logical Start Menu group folders, some still appear in the wrong group, even though they don't show in the directory listing... and that's WITH 'show hidden files' option to 'on'. e.g. HTC People icon, and Microsoft Mobile Online which stays on the main menu wherever you move it... it seems to make a copy of itself.
It's an odd little app anyway, as my online MS Live account doesn't show any activity to do with my mobile... so where my txt message backup has actually gone is anyone's guess?
I think overall, with HTC withdrawing the ROM from their own website, it's fair to say it's nowhere ready and far too buggy... and they are obviously not happy with it going out to public release.
If I can flash it back safely, then I'll do it.

Thought I had the 6.1. ROM, but it's not the full version... just an incremental.
Is there anyone on here that knows a secret location for the original HTC European WWE HTC 6.1 ROM? Signature panel shows what I had before.
I've tried a search and can only find cooked ones.
Thanks.

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for? It's version 1.19.401.1, but version .0 is also at the repository link below if you need it. I presume this is the full ROM.....
The roms can be found located at the XDA ROMS repository.
I hope it is okay to link from here?
I don't know about downgrading, sorry - i'm sure someone with more experience can help though.
Cheers
I think you can only downgrade if you have hardspl on your phone.

Nope, I upgraded from the stock WM6.1 to WM6.5, and then "downgraded" to WM6.1 again using the RUU from HTC; no HardSPL involved there.

1% Battery Increments Not Working! Please Help

Hi Folks!
Hope everyone's ok!
I have just purhcased a T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2, (Unlocked) and have been trying to install different CABs for the 1% battery increment instead of the current 10%.
I also applied the official T-Mobile ROM updated with Windows Mobile 6.5. I tried have a dozen different CABs and different versions, but all in vain, the increments are still in 10%s.
Anyone has managed on a simliar mobile on WM6.5?
Thanks

The 1% battery increment cabs only change what the phone's circuitry will report about your battery level...they don't change the fact that the stock battery meter in WM will only display 10% increments. To display your charge in the 1% steps, you'll need a taskbar with a battery icon that does that, or an app that will add only that to your current taskbar.
There's several taskbars available and a number of battery meter apps floating around these forums that would do the trick, search around and try them 'till you find one you like. The only ones here I've tried are BattClock 1.3, and Spike's MicNeo taskbar v2, and they both serve that function in their own way.

Did you try BattClock? Even if it's not something you want to use long-term, it should at least help determine if the 1%-increment cab actually did any good.
I might suggest looking through the thread related to the 1% cab to see if anyone has had similar problems getting it to work...it sounds to me like it hasn't made the changes it's supposed to, but I don't know why

Problem With JB 4.2.2

Hello everyone,
i need some information. first i will try to describe my problem. 3-4 months ago, i was using Android 4.1 original rom. Then i updated my phone to Android 4.2.2. But it consumed too much power from battery and wifi was very bad. So i decided to install a custom rom and i installed "Android Revolution HD 33.1 by mike1986" and i am still using this version. But for the past 3-4 months, i have a quite bad wi-fi and bad battery performance.
* i opened the telephone and tried to pull wifi antennas little bit as i saw in videos in Youtube. Wifi quality did not increase. i always try to stay next to modem )))
* i replaced my battery with a new one but battery performance still the same. it consumes too much. i always carry my charger with me )))
Before i updated my phone to 4.2.2, wifi & battery performances were nearly perfect. i was very glad. So i want to return back to android 4.1 (stock or custom rom, does not matter). is it possible? if i download a stable android 4.1 ice cream rom or android 4.1 stock rom, does it work? or can i only upgrade Android to later versions of it such as Android 5.0 Lollipop? Can anyone help me please?
Best regards...
