you cant rename using the normal file explorer, you got to use a program like total commander.
You need to try it with total commander or resco explorer i think. I have attached total commander, try it and see if you can rename with that.

i did delete the omap file but the massage still comes up where can i find it on the phone i've tried looking everywhere do i need some type of reg edit to perform this
\windows\startup
is the dir where shortcuts to programs which are ment to auto start
are placed even if the exe the shortcut is pointing at is gon
the shortcut is still there
and if the shortcut is pointing at something which is not there
it should give about that error
if you do need a reg editor
total commander is both a good filemanager to delete files from places like

Hi all,
I've been searching the internet for a couple hrs. and didn't find any solution. Is there any way how to change the sound which sounds when a button (HW/SW) is pushed? I mean that well-known "click" sound.
I don't wanna turn it off but change it to my sound.
I was able to locate file named "hwandsw.wav" in WM6 home folder which I suppose is "my-big-wav". But it's read-only (locked by system) and I can get rid of this one. I suppose if I am able to overwrite it, it'd work. Am I right? How can I handle this?
Thank you
You can overwrite it with total commander, resco explorer, ... and certainly many other software

I change the VolumeControl.dll but it didn't work ...but before i instead the VolumeControl.dll i had not copy the original one... who can help me..?Please.
I don't know about the VolumeControl.dll you're talking about, but I sure know that in order to change the volume bars appearance you'll need to replace the volume PNGs located in Windows folder...
Attached is the original HD volume package; extract & replace to Windows folder using Total Commander or Resco Explorer..
Thank you for your respond..
but actually,i want the file is inside Windows...the name is HTCVolumeControl.dll and HTCVolumControl.dll.0404
can you help me one more time?
If you delete the files you've installed (may need to use Resco Explorer or Total Commander) the original ROM files will magically re-appear.

Prof. Yaffle is right ;
You can retrieve the original files by deleting their substitutes using Total Commader or Resco Explorer.. Try deleting the ones you replaced earlier ...
Both of you are right.
The file is back ,Thank you !!
