About the Kitchen
Artemis base: HTC P3300 WWE 3.13.405.1
OS base: VF Kaiser UK 3.08.161.0 (Build 19199)
OEM Apps removed, but you need to clean up the OEMDrivers package
I did not do any changes to the OS, because it should be a clean base Kitchen for all of you
Full XIP editing supported by the Kitchen
New tool to merge all dsm files to one big file and delete all rgu's
I think the OEM package to SYS problem should be solved... but did not try it yet
How to use it
Requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package
OEM and SYS can be used as known
The content of ROM\XIP will be used to create a new XIP section for the OS
You don’t have to worry about relocating modules... add/remove whatever you like and the new tools will take care of relocating modules or freeing RAM
.VM and .ROM is updated automatically
Actually this Kitchen runs in auto mode, which means you only need to run BuildNB.bat to create the ROM. You can change that by editing the bat files; made it this way, because I don’t use the options in BuildOS.exe
I consider this a perfect port of the new build to this device
Replaced all XIP SYS packages (I did not just changed coredll.dll to get the new build number)
There were also boot.rgu changes my MS, those have been added too
SYS is completely untouched

Sorry about that... did not see that the name might be confusing...
It means that this is a ROM Kitchen with an extension to edit/build XIP sections
To edit the XIP section was no easy task until now, so this means a little revolution for porting new build to our devices.

I tried several times building a rom using the kitchen but failed. What I did was simply put in OEM packages and build the OS, got a nb file, then used htcrt.exe to convert it to a nbh for flashing. Everything seems fine during the flash. But when it restarts it dies in the first splash screen.
Any hint for this?

First try if a ROM without OEM packages is working, next you need to add one OEM package after another... I'm sure there is something wrong with one of the packages.

You are using the wrong drivers.
Do you any drivers installed??
Did you fill XIP up?

Built a ROM without addidng anything but a music file to reach 50MB limit but the ROM never passes the splash screen on device. The same happens with extracting and re-building of cooked ROMs even without editing. What am I doing wrong?
But when I extract and rebuild an OEM rom, everything works fine!

Most of the ROM do not include the rgu files.
You need rgu files to make your own rom.

the easyst way is to copy "OEMDrivers" map from wm6.
You should copy XIP files one by one from other rom and put it in a map with the same name.

because the nbh can't be much bigger then it's now I can't add programs without removing other apps.
SO there is no way for me to add Opera, Office or MSN to this rom
I will make a correted version later but first play with this one a bit so I can get more reports on whats working and whats not

Version to did boot but stops at alignment screen after looking inside my kitchen i found that there was no touch.dll so Beta 3 uploaded now

I believe that the nbh file can't be bigger then 65MB and the first version was around 75mb
I have removed Opera and Office from beta 2 to get the size down to 63mb
if it is now working I will try to find a way to get at least Office back in Opera can be installed as a cab so can Office
Opal/Touch Pro apps (mixed to make packs work)
I need you to test what is working and whats not
I don't have an Artemis so I can't test and I wan't be fixing bug untill I get an Artemis
Please don't post stuf like I can't wait or downloading

no as I stated in first post I don't have a Artemis so I can't test and I don't want to upload every try I make untill I get it right.
I just have to wait til I get a cheep Artemis somewhere

hypercore kitchen always leaves the oem folder empty.-as a result building the just dumped rom again gives me an error- or where am i going wrong?

That was what i've told you. You can't extract that ROM. Only if you ask the cooker for his kitchen.

I think so, but not sure.
I read somewhere that the maximum ROM size is 65Mb, but has i told you i'm not sure.

I just downloaded the diamonish rom to see and it's size is 63 so I would guess that could be it.
I will try to remove some stuff
to get down to around 65 mb
I have removed Opera and Office and will upload the new version now the nbh file is now 63 mb so well know if it's was a size prob or not

Can someone post a walkthrough on how to change language on a dumped ROM. (say chinese to WWE)

You have to replace all language-related files with the proper ones in your language! Search in the SYS folder for *.mui files (mostly modules in a SYS folder) and replace them! But you need to edit the RGU's as well, if they exsisting in that package! DO the same with the OEM folder but here the MUI files are real files and not modules, like in the SYS folder! After that, cook your ROM and try it!

You forgot to mention the lang/mui in the registry.

The mui language files are not related to the XIP build are they? I mean I can replace those files with another build's mui files and everything will run fine, or do I have to replace them with a concordant build.

No, MUI files aren't really XIP related but it's better to use MUI files from an official build as near as possible with the desired one!
For an example:
I'm using a 21042 build with MUI files from a 20764 build and all working fine!

It's not a good idea because the changes in MUI files from WM6.1 to WM6.5 may be to huge for a proper translation! It's better to wait for an official ITA Build from HTC in my opinion!

I like this EnergyROM
and I am looking for some way to make the cooked rom support CHT.
I have read the post in this thread.
What you guys are talking is changing the *.mui file with other language version. Am i right?
I don't mind using program in English. English is good to read.
But most of my contact's name, sms, email ...etc are in CHT.
All chinese character became a Rectangle.
If i just want the OS to support CHT, how can i do it?

Link don't work. Can't find anywhere on the site to actually download the files, just same them to "My Files". Can you upload elsewhere? Just post the XIP as a zip file on here?

yeah,XIP & SYS are most parts of ROM
moto Q9h, 710+/710, BenQ E72 ,toshiba g500 or others sp phones now have wm6.5 roms,yesterday many roms were released after wm6.5 standard SDK published.
i`ll upload SYS to rapidshare.com tomorrow

a titanium homescreen would be nice, if its not included in the final release for SP is their a way to extract it from the pro version and run it on SP. (i know it can be extracted, and id be willing to extract it if someone can get it to run on SP)

The SDK only comes with the basic SYS, no WM6.5 packages. So until someone gets their hands on some WM6.5 standard packages, we can either improvise or just let it look like WM6.1.

But those "packages" you speak of... are actually HTC packages So until HTC comes up with them.... we'll have to make do. Hehe

I'm working on making my SuperJustKitchen the support the Hermes and I need someone to test this sample ROM. It's not perfect, yet, or anywhere near it, but I want to know if it at least boots.

I can get it to you when I get off work if you don't have it already. What do you need just the OEM*** folder that has nk.exe?

The NK should be in the XIP, so I need your OEMKernelXIP, although having your OEMDrivers probably won't hurt, either since it has newer drivers. (IF the OEM is new... I don't know if it is or if only the XIP is new.)

Sorry thats what I meant the OEMkernelXIP folder I just didnt remember it off the top of my head.

I had a problem with that one since its set to 15pp. The one I use is still by utak3r but has the correct pp set.

It's ok. By default the PP will always be set to 6mb on the kitchen and you can change it with a simple option.
Mind you, from now on, you will have to click on the "native 5.6 kernel" option from here on in the kitchen.

The kernel that Da_G posted has PP in 15mb and the EVK xiporterexe cant change the PP, but utak3r stripp even more the native kernel... and makes it change with the nbtools.exe.. so our .bat in EVK change in the line to allow nbtools change the pp.
