I'm with you my friend!
he he.. most of our developers have switched to other forum, got newer devices & developing android for other devices...
Now you still with trinty and please BE one of our the developers... now i'm still learning about compiling/ tweaking kernel & stuff.. so will you, learn..
kinda gotta agree with u there.. my Trinity's been collecting dust on my desk ever since I got my Blackstone...
...that is until I flashed it to WM6.5 today and put it on-par with the blackstone (on OS anyway)...
I say wait for Android to get a bit more mature first on other HTC devices...it's still such a young OS, it's fast because it has practically nothing yet compared to the current gen WM OS.
Yeah, I want Android on my Trinity as well Hope some developers start working on this...we will be very grateful
I hope to try android on my trinity too. Please mention the good and bad if anyone had tried the rom especially memory after first boot. thanks.
Well, android on Artemis seems to be moving very well

It seems to be harmless to try running Wing Linux (and Android) on any OMAP850 device
http://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/wing-linux/wiki
Welcome to our project wiki. We aim to bring Linux and Google's Android operating systems to the T-Mobile Wing, HTC Herald / Atlas platforms and many other OMAP850-based devices.
Nobody tried it on Trinity?
androkkid worked well on my htc trinity
hello to everybody..i tried firmware called androkkid developed by Simosoft (windows android emulator) and it worked very well...
Androkkid is just a new Windows Mobile interface, but not the ROM
So it's irrelevant
It's much more interesting to start a real Android on HTC

Hi pof,
are you planning to backport it to himalaya et al. ?
It is already possible to reflash the radio ROM on universal under linux
directly, but i don't want to try it myself
I don't have himalaya.... i was planning Hermes, Trinity, Artemis, Universal, Wizard and BlueAngel, as those are the devices I have, or have friends who can lend me for testing.
If you have usb capture of himalaya or other htc devices flashing process, i can adapt it easily too.

I doubt that it is different from blueangel.
Maybe a bit offtopic, but hey, here goes nothing.
I've recently tried the Samsung i600, and was amazed by the software that is included with the phone. Is is possible to get this software ported over to a flavour of Wm 6.0?
I've got accsess to a i600 if that is need for extracting software-parts... But, hey; why invent up the wheel again if someone's already dumped it

Short answer: No
Long Answer: The ARM chip in the Hermes is to old, it doesn't support some of the instructions needed, also there are no drivers for the chipset ect in the Hermes, so someone would need to go to a lot of trouble to write them all.
(As far as I know)
can i use windows mobule 6.5 ??

One WM 6.5 rom

Well try this link, the ARMv5 instructions of Android have been recompiled for the ARMv4.
Let's see if the Hermes has a Pinguin future

hi dude!
i'm too interested for Anroid(Linux) OS!
and i tryed running this OS in HERMES device, but nothing happened .
well, in current time for our HERMES nothing .
i'm soo glad with Windows 6.5.1
Android is built for ARM5 processors and the Hermes has an ARM4 processor, so it would have to be ported first and also have drivers written for the Hermes hardware. I think the OpenMoko phone uses an ARM4 processor, so that might be a good place to start.
