Is it possible to create a Pandora panel that would run on the Xperia? This program is one I would love to have more than most I've seen suggested or even wished for. There has to be a way to have a Pandora Panel right?

Yes, I have read through that post, but it still doesn't work. None of those solutions work for the Xperia x1, so I thought I would check here for possible solutions, especially designing a panel from scratch (not using a panel as a link to the application) if that would be possible to do for the xperia x1?

makes the program into a panel, no change to the software.
its for people that want it as a panel, like the youtube, nav and google maps panel

working for X1?
I have installed a couple of times and touch screen UI was not working on X1. I see it has not yet been added on their compatible device listing. Can you confirm that it is now working properly for X1 (or not)?

i believe u are talking about the software and not the panel.
i think they did sort out the prob, they have released 2 more beta's of the software (3 beta versions altogether).
Hmm, touch screen not working, but at least able to use DPAD to navigate down to particular message and then between play and delete buttons.

it's stickied at the top. it says ALL X1 PANELS. you search but didn't find it? it was right in front of you. you need to have youtube cab, then install the panel for it to be used as a panel. anyways look dude, where it says sticked and X1 LIBRARY PANELS. it's in this theme and app thread. if you miss it i don't know any other way of tellin you.
oh im aware of that sticky thread of the X1 panels, but unfortunately for the Youtube part, it was a dead link, that is why i thought i'd open a new thread asking a link that might be working

Hi all,
Having tried various of the 6.5 roms I settled on the Eugenia 0.93 one. Congrats to the guy who made it. I did try the Hikari one... but I would have had to reprogram most of it to work how I want and while its imaginative it needs alot of work before I would consider it.
I use my phone for calls email etc and especially music - I have since found that the media player version will only play MP3's - while I dont know if this is universal to 6.5 ROMs generally - its something worth thinking about if you have anything like *.aac files that you play.
I am now using MortPlayer but I would have preferred that this be noted in the information for the roms because for some people this is make or break... luckily I am fairly computer literate - other people may not be...

PS: just a quick question - is there a quick way of editing the icon positions in the 6.5 matrix so you can put the apps you use most in the top section so you dont have to do all that annoying scrolling and misshitting of other apps?...
It depends on the WM6.5 version you are using but most of them now support it. Tap and hold an icon and move it around.
Please post in the right section next time.
Well I'll keep it short .....
Recently devs here on xda released an app that would switch with the press of a button between Sense and Titanium....
Since the average xperia user's dream is to be able to have a separate panel for sense and one for titanium I was asking myself if smn into panel developing could develope two "FAKE" panels that by triggering the application would create the illusion of having two panels....
Like panel A >>>> triggers app>>>>triggers titanium
panel B>>>> triggers app>>>>>triggers sense
I believe it's doable and even easy but i dun ave the time to make it myself...nor i have the space on my HDD to install visual studio

If yes i already downloaded both the panelizer and visual studio...I'm just waiting to have some free time and start on it....thedarkness which is the creator of the app shown his will to help create single executables ....so might be near...hope ppl find this interesting really, though i'll do it anyway cuz i like it
Just an EXE-panelizer's example cab. Only PanelManager\Panels entry should be edited.
However, I don't think it will help us.
It does seem like people are migrating out of Xperia and into other devices, but I am more thrilled about my X1 now than when I got it. X2 panels and task manager along with new possibilities for making panels (new Visual Studio panelizers) make this an awesome device now. Oh well, hopefully we'll keep some of the talent in the Xperia section because we still got some great rippers and chefs.
Anyway, yes is awesome idea. I used the Second Today HTML panel, and I made a customized one for myself, but ultimately HTML panels are a clumsy implementation.
I would be thrilled if you get get this done, but I believe you will have to do a DLL panelizer. I am pretty sure titanium is run through a DLL.
Just my two cents, since I don't code (I can only script), and have only made HTML panels (which I hate).

hi there dark, im currently using TF3D detacher to switch between sense 2.5 and titanium on the latest valkyrie v5.5 and its lightning fast. It has seperate exe's for showing sense and hiding sense (i think. It has seperate shortcuts but im sure ive seen the exe before in program files or windows folder). I thought this might be of some help to you. Maybe not! Id like to switch sense and titanium via a panel too! Hope you can solve this, regards b

Im trying to make it work on panel key, so there is one key that allows you to switch today screens.

I gave up because of the huge amount of dev tools needed and my lack of programming knowledge ...hope you better lucck than mine....
I think the mortscript should link to the switching app exe and then revert to the today screen, but most probably you've already thought of that
Does anybody actually have a working Growing Panel for a Xperia X1 with WM 6.1 stock rom (R3AA)? So far I have only found the SE original one (not working) or the one that was released months ago (2010 bug). I would greatly appreciate to have the Growing Panel back. Its just beautyful!
The growing panel you have is not working because you need to install additional software that i have attached. If it still does not work maybe you need to change some registry settings. Good luck!
Those files are already installed on my phone. I have got the city night and day panel and they work without any problems. But the growing panel does not. Like I wrote before I have got the one released on xda which works but cant handle the year 2010 (the last two digits of the year keep changing forever) and the one from SE website which does not work at all (does not respond to inputs and finally crashes). Has anybody managed to get the growing panel working on a xperia x1 with stock rom R3AA and the original panel manager? It would be great if you could advise me how I can solve this problem.

Well I have the growingpanel on the R3A panelmanager with the stock rom and it worked perfectly after I installed the above files... But I heard of some people that had a similar problem because PixelCity and Growingpanel don't work together... Why don't you try the X2 panelmanager?
As far as I know you can only get the growing panel form SE website, or if you get it from xda it will have the year bug... There are no other versions.
Altae, you have a german rom ? in which folder is the growing panel installed ? Perhaps you must edit the pfad in registry.
Hmm.. I don't think it is a registry problem.
Because when you get the growing panel from the SE website the Cab will be in your own language because you have to choose your country before entering the website.... So it is automatically adjusted to your registry settings.
But if nothing else helps maybe it's worth looking into.
If I try the panel since 6 month ago - it`s instal in ProgramFiles Folder and not in Programme - But if he gives no answer, than we don`t know what matter.

Thanks to everybody for your advice. I use a german rom and Im well aware of the necessity to check and maybe adapt the reg keys so they point to the correct folder. If you dont do the panel wont even show up in the panel manager. I tried the X2 panel manager too but I consider it far to unstable. It caused the media xperience panel to break so I went back to the X1 panel manager. What I dont get is the fact that the growing panel from XDA reliably works no metter how many times I install and uninstall it (apart from the 2010 bug). But the one from SE wont. I mean in both cases I need the flash files and nonetheless there seems to be some kind of difference between the two.

As I said, I have growing panel working on original panel manager just fine... And you allready tried registry settings etc...
Maybe you can use R3A panel manager (this is a newer version than the stock one) ... It is in the Panels Library thread and I think it is very stable.
I attached my Growing panel cab just in case, maybe that will work for you for some reason. I had it working on my stock Dutch Rom and now that I use an English Rom it still works.
Hope one of these things help..
Because they have been requested I share the cabs required to run the city night panel. Using these files the city night panel works flawlessly on my X1 with R3AA stock rom (Switzerland, German).
I've had some success with the growing panel. I installed the cab attached to this post (it contains both, ActiveX_Flash_Deployment and the X2 Flash Files) which I found here at XDA. Now the panel works at least partially but there remain two slight problems.
1. The plant on the left which should indicate the battery status doesn't work. It neither shows the correct status nor does it flash when the phone is being charged. What's more it does not bring up the power menu when tapped even though the plant moves as it should when tapped.
2. The plant on the right (the blue one) that should indicate the signal strengh does not work too. It always shows full signal strengh no matter how bad coverage might be.
Any advice how to get a fully working growing panel back? If only someone could fix the growing panel available at XDA. That one worked without any problems (apart from the date bug).
in attached cab i find no 2010 problem, while i had floating date problem in other versions. Also have X2_Flash_panels and active x deployment
