I've upgraded my Diamond to rev 2 (official rom downloaded from HTC site) and want to upgrade to the cooked rom but cant hardspl anymore.
I will be really appreciated if you kindly specify a proper ungigned hardspl.

Hi,
I need to flash my o2 xda diamond in order to change its language from German to English. I have flashed it with Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex from location http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400402. But when I try to run WWE (I have tried using RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.93.707.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship and RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.34.831.1_52.24.25.08_0.93.25_Ship) it gives me Update Error[262] all the time. Recovery procedure does not work in any case. I have tried reinstalling ActiveSync as well as disabling Antivirus software but to no avail. Please suggest which Hard SPL and WWE ROM should I use. Please help as I dont want to brick my device!

You can't update a Hard SPL-ed device with both mentioned updates.
Hard-SPL has an protection so you can't flash the SPL (A Hard-SPL can only be reflashed by using a Soft SPL to flash the replacing SPL).
You need to strip the shipped ROM of its IPL/SPL, or choose a custom one without IPL/SPL
Choose a custom ROM without IPL/SPL, there are many available.
But you need to check if you flashed the Signed or the Unsigned Hard SPL, then choose your ROM accordingly.

I flashed it with Unsigned Hard SPL( I am assuming that the zip file without 'signed' in its name is the unsigned one). It would be a BIG help if you could just name a few custom ROMs without IPL/SPL . Thanks a bunch.

I have successfully upgraded Olinex 1.30 to Olinex 1.40 developer edition and have flashed with SwiftBL ROM. It works like a dream! Thanks xda developers.

Read Installation Instructions section. Download one of the SPLs mentioned (OliNex Unsigned Hard-SPL Developers Edition OR jockyw2001's HardSPL 1.24) and flash your device with it following the instructions. Then download SwiftBL WWE Diamond ROM , version 6.2 is latest so better use this one. Upgrade your current German ROM with SwiftBL and voila!

You must use Hard-SPL if you want to change you rom, cooked or Stock(Your area rom dont need hard-spl) and if you want to change radio rom. If you dont upgrade to Hard-spl you are stuck with the rom in your device..The only time you can upgrade or change rom is when a new HTC rom for Diamond is released, for your AREA. and you can download it from the HTC.com support site

i had some issue with this rom, installing it i had no ring for incoming call and shell32.exe crashed making impossible saving changes for sound settings, so i couldn't use it. i tried it with olinex spl and original spl thinking for a compatibility problems, but it wasn't, so i come back to te older 1.93.408.3... i downloaded exactly this file... did you have some problem with?
otherwise i could see it is faster then older one, it has 10% more free memory (just flashed and booted it has about 49/50% memory usage.. the 1.93.408.3 has 56-60% memory usage and it make free less memory using and closing applications) and, it has 77mb free against about 55mb...
I've not yet flashed my device with this rom (I'll flash it only for warranty reasons), but I'm curious: ervius, did you have problems with your H3G branded rom?

if you need for warranty reason you can also flash the old official italian rom and use original spl, my diamond arrived with the official rom and not with h3g rom...

I received my HTC already with a cooked room and after having played with a other more recent cooked roms (mainly energyrom ones) I decided to revert to the latest HTC WME 6.1 official ROM for my HTC Diamond. Before doing so, I've 3 questions (I could not find explicit answers searching in existing topics):
1- Can I update my diamond with an official HTC rom even if an hardspl, cooked room, etc are already installed?
2- My serial indicates that my HTC diamond is a Dutch version. Can I install an official English (Europe or WWE) on it?
3- Which is the latest version for the English (europe or WWE) ROM?
