Hi All
I have upgraded from tytn 2 to tp2 (voda).
I have transferred my garmin xt memory card, the software works, but the vehicle icon (e.g car) is tiny on the screen.
Seems the TP2 resolution is way better than the Tytns.
This makes seeing things a bit worse and if you use 2d maps over 3d its even worse!
I have the latest version from the garmin website. And i purchased the latest maps.
Thanks
steve

I am currently using sygic mobile maps but its user interface is not up to the mark. Not yet tries the Ndrive, hope it will fulfill my requirement.
Is there any idea about the Garmin for Android devices?
I used Garmin for my HTC HD mini and it works absolutely great. now I am using SGS and as compare to Garmin, the sygic mobile maps has lower coverage.

there is a garmin map available for free which u can use in your windows mobile from the website NOEMANGSM
and try it with satguide map india
Have installed igo8 fin no issues runs great, apart from the voices are glitchy, stuttery, thought it was the class 2 card i was using but after using class 6 still same problem, anyone any ideas, new to andriod, didnt have this problem with win mobile, using standard firmware shipped with phone, please help its the only good sat nav for android in my opinion. also on win mobile when connected to pc you would get internal storage and sd storage, but when connecting arc i only see sd storage and when i select mass storage i dont get anything.
Where did u get it from?

The same problem here. A few people running gingerbread on other devices were reporting this issue and somebody found out that the cause is audio buffer overflow. Maybe future rom updates will fix the problem... maybe not.
On X10 igo8 is slow but the voice is ok. On Arc it's much faster but the voice is jerky. Looks like we can't have them both... yet
is this fixed in 2.3
i'll answer myself.... no it's not just tried
Motonav runs perfectly, and supports the igo maps
same problem with motonav voice navigation choppy have tried it on other phones running android 2.3.3 and it seems it's android causing the problems audio buffer overflow.
on my arc igo8 works great.no problems...
this is a known problem with android so how can it be working ok, without choppy voice
iGO 8
there u have igo app v8.4.2.139242,good working on my arc,u just need to create folder igo with maps on sd card.
will try, thanks
error, program application database cannot be found
you must have a good copy of this and a sound igo folder on sd what res does it run at, do you have the data.gro file, could you also post a youtube vid if possible.
for me this aplication works good,i have replaced data.gro file with resolution for an arc.i upload for you an entire folder iGO from my sd card, without maps etc.included voices.just unpack and copy this folder for your sd card, copy downloaded maps to map directory, then run app.sorry no video.thanks
sd card iGO folder link: http://www62.zippyshare.com/v/1381334/file.html
thank you im about to try it.
works great like the rest, BUT still navigation voice is chuppy stuttery, trying to edit sys.txt see if i can fix it. thanks anyway, the voice on yours is def not choppy or stuttering.
definitely works good,i dont know how and why but is alwright
thanks for the help but gave up on this. are you running android 2.3.3
Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100) with Android 2.3.3, I have the same issue with choppy voice. About the suposed Android buffer overflow problem, I was wondering how on earth this happens only with iGO? All the other navigation apps I've tried (or any other app using sound) does not have this issue.
there is no voice on that folder, can you upload it again and i will check to my galaxy s i9003.
thanks
This has probably been posted before, but since i come from Serbia map coverage of most navigations is just main roads, only one that had full and latest maps is iGO and since the highest resolution that it supports is WVGA it cant work on ONE X...So is there any way to portt maps from iGO to lets say Sygic
