I' looking for a typical Windows system call.
It seems that the "lock hardware keys" page option in Wisbar Advanced Desktop does not work in HD. In fact, the Home hardkey gives focus to the Windows start menu even if WAD is attached to the Today screen. As an alternative, does anybody know how could I call the builtin "Lock screen" (the one activated either from the Today plugin or by long pressing of the end key) using a command line ? I don't want to use S2U2 as an alternative to the builtin locking utility.
Thanks in advance.
No ideas ?

Hi there,
I have the brilliant Dutch ADW 1.1 ROM. Since yesterday however the HTC AudioManager stops playing when I press the off button, while before it didn't.
Does anyone know how to keep it playing again when the device is "off"?
TIA
PS. A program that keep all buttons but power and the screen locked, even when a call comes in also would to the trick.
On my P3600 + Faman WM6 french ROM, I manage to do it the following way :
1 - allow the WM6 screen lock option to appear into the Today screen (trying to translate from French : open the parameters panel in the start menu, select Today/Elements, select "Screen lock" and press "OK" ;
2 - go back to the Today screen and lock the screen ;
3 - now, pressing the on/off button will switch the screen backlight off without stopping the HTC manager.
Hope it works for you.
I use S2U2 and FTouchFlo, so that when I slide my finger right to left, it activates S2U2. Pretty nifty
Doesn't use that much extra battery either.
@deago, I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work. Music still stops when I press the off button, but thanks though
I'll try S2u2 tonight, but I think it is basically the same as slide2unlock, and that works, but not realy how I would like.
And... it workt before, so what's changed?? :S
I use AudioManager with the HTC Home Plugin thing and music keeps playing when I hit the off button. I'm using udk 6.1 rom
I was having the same problem on my P3600, with Axel's wm6 rom. Deago's fix didnt work for me, the only thing i've found so far is that if u install SPB Pocket Plus, u can get a little icon on your Today Screen that's called "Screen Toggle" and when u press it it turns the screen off and locks the keys and everything but the music continues to play in the background.
Hope i helped =)
Is there a way that I can configure buttons to do other functions? Like the PTT button to lock the phone and etc.?
Should probably search for this info.............but....................
may need to install device lock and something like VP3G's X-button app.
then go into settings\buttons and make the assignments
Anything
BUMP. I am also looking for a way to map the PPT button, to lock device KEYS. So i can stream music, with out fear of hitting a button and ruining my audio fun.
egoist6 Yes, thats the same app i had on me 8125!! Solid mapped to #5 on my 8525 Works now as wanted.
go for this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=261277
it is cool because it does not require the device lock home plug in, can be configured via control panel und supports "easy unlock" (device can be activated by only two presses of buttons, with other apps you need two plus one for touching the screen).
Hi guys,
I was fooling around with my TP2 and started IE to see how it compared to Opera. I opened the menu and choose/ticked "full screen" to have a good comparising view to Opera. Problem now is I cannot find a way to leave the full screen anymore. Does someone know how to end the full screen mode in IE??
thanks in advance. Kuzibri
No one yet? I cannot believe that nobody has a solution for tis problem.
I think there is an option in the context menu (press and hold anywhere on the page). I can't check for sure because the new IE in WM6.5 doesn't have a non-fullscreen mode anymore, so of course there's no option.
Thanks Enisoc, that did the trick! I have tried everything to achieve this (double tapping, etc), but never thought of this simple solution!! Thnx again.
In IE: Menu, Settings, View, Mobile. This ability is one of the reasons I prefer the IE browser.
XATAGuy, the problem of the full screen mode in IE was that you could not get into menu cause it wasn't there. Only after tap and hold on the screen anywhere one could choose to "kill" the full screen mode and get back the menu option.
My send key is sticking.
1) How do I disable the send key
2) how can I start the phone application with a shortcut ( I would need it if I can disable the send key)
3) how do I change my text message that I can send for an incoming phone call. I've changed it before, but cannot remember how.
1) Why on earth would you want to do that?
2) Your start menu should already have a short-cut somewhere in it with the phone application, just find it and use it.
3) Start Menu/ Settings/ Personal/Phone/Advanced (this is on a WWE rom).
Ok, found #4.
Also, lookined in the windows directory and found vtkey.exe (phone application) and redial.exe (redial). Does anyone see a problem with renameing them so hopefully my send key will not be able to use them?
There is a System -> Button application. Guess I could map the end key hold to the vtkey_rename.exe?
OK, how do I rename system files?
Because my hardware send key is sticking and it constantly opens the phone application and redails the last person I spoke to. My friends are getting quite annoyed and I do not want to spend a week of my life reloading a new phone with my software.
Do you have a better solution?
I do not have a phone dialer application on my start menu. I had to find vtkey.exe in the windows folder.

Click to collapse
Maybe you can remap the hardware key to nothing? The remap program is in the themes and apps section.

I turned off all the Sense/FLO stuff that I could find. Mostly I have just stock WM 6.1. I do not see themes. I do have Settings-> Personal -> Buttons. But I cannot figure out how to add the Send Key. I have the following. My phone has 4 buttons and not really sure how to use the Buttons screen.
Send Key (Hold) <None>
Button <Today>
Button <Context Menu>
Just tryed to remap the key using Rhodium Keyboard control. Worked flawlessly
Where is the keyboard control?
I have T-Mobile HTC TP2, WM 6.1.
Take a copy of a link file .lnk of any application you have on your phone and rename it to short_send.lnk and put in \windows. Same trick works with long_send.lnk, short/long for end and power buttons. By doing this i created button shortcuts to apps i want. Super convenient.
Hey people, I've searched around and have not been able to find a solution for a while now so I thought i'd ask the question here.
The Touch Pro 2 has 3 softkeys: 2 on home screen and 1 in the start menu that says (Lock)
The two first softeys are quit easy to manage with different apps or directly from the registry. The third, however, is dedicated to the lock screen (phone) function and I have not found a way to reassign what this button does.
I would like to reassign this button to S2U2 instead using the WM6.5 original lock function.
I've enabled the appropriate options on S2U2 to over ride this button, but whenever my RAM usage reaches critical and Apps autoclose, it seems to break the function of this button and only a restart will solve it. I've even tried adding iLock2 into the task manager exception list but nothing seems to work, which is why i'd just like to assign the lock button to S2U2 permanently.
Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this ?
