I love PV ROM. It's pretty,stable and rapid.
Since I hope to always be with PV ROM, I got two suggestion for PV to help improve functionality:
1.When we create notes by One Note Mobile, we might insert pictures by Trinity's camera or audio files by recorder. That will take up too much space in main mermory. I think it's better to move the storage path to mini SD card. But we can't modify that path. There's no option in one note mobile.
2.If I unlock the Extended ROM by HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1, I will lose the GPS function immediately. I don't understand why. Maybe I should use an unlocker of newer version.
Hope the PV_ROM_0715 comes out as soon as possible. I can't wait.

Problem was that there was no download link except from pdaviet, were we cant log on as we dont know Vietnamese..

Can you please upload the HTC_Trinity_3.00.07.15.PV.part2.rar on rapidshare or mediafire so we can download it ?

When you go to the bottem on the left side you can change the languige to English..! Looking further always solving lots of minor problems

Is it just me or is the site down?

Does it still have the slow boot bug or the "hang at bootscreen needing hardreset bug" ?
Does someone know it the IPL Update I have seen somewhere could fix this problem?
If someone can confirm this I switch back to PDAVIET Rom in a second as otherwise these Roms are great!

I have used Pdaviet ROM's from version .09 to .13.
Tried also Mun's ROM but it was buggiest rom I've never seen.
Haven't had any problems at all with Pdaviet. No hanging on boot screen nor calendar syncin problems. And it still remembers my wifi and email settings after softreset.
With version .13 I first time tried HtcHome and suddenly boot-time hang came to me also. So I did hardreset and disabled HtcHome and now I do not have any problems at all.
So try to disable HtcHome, it should help you with hanging.
I also read in some thread that if you use wisbar, there is option to boot on safemode if normal boot fails. With that mode it boots up without any plugins so you can avoid hardreset.

I finaly got registered. Thanks.
This ROM is very very good and fast !!!

I found 3 bugs in this rom, all are related to the batterstatus plugin
Bug 1) not critical but very annoying
-Batterystatus dies when customising htchome
(in some cases batterystatus can be restored by disabling CPu speed)
Bug 2) Cricital as this requires a hard-reset to fix
-sometimes the phone will hang if you reboot the phone by holding and pressing the standby button.
The crashes also seem to be related to batterystatus (over 50 tests to try and recreate the crash conditions the only variable found was that batterystatus needs to be running in order for the phone to hang)

In some cases, batterystatus and calendar cannot be toghether on the home screen, you have to choose one or the other(if both are selected only calendar will show)
Also in some cases there will be a memory leak, but i have not been able to reproduce the exact circumstances for the memory leak to appear (but at this point i am willing to blame batterystatus)

Its not that simple, the bug needs to be fixed so we can actually use it, i will post these bugs in the batterstatus thread too...

Mapping windows button

Hi guys,
I've flashed my Artemis with this: ARTEMIS & LOVE WM6.1 ROM V34 - Build 20758.1.4.1 (Manila2D)

but every time I click the Windows button, which used to launch the start menu, it launches internet explorer.
I'm sure this is a really easy fix for someone that knows what they are doing, but can someone give me an idiots guide to changing this back?
I thought about HButton, but I'm not sure that's what I need. Do I have to change the registry in some way?

Sorry, you have probably looked into this but isn't Buttons option available in settings?
I did try that ROM but kept FlyROM - and I can't remember if the option of changing it was there..

Yes the Buttons application is available in this ROM (in Settings). I just fixed the problem by using it.

Diamond TF3D config working on Xperia X1 (tested)

I just insatlled the TF3D config on my X1 downloaded elsewhere from this wonderful forum including HD Themes and backgrounds pictures collected from the forum. It worked like charm on my X1 updated with Touch-IT X1 M-HD 1.1. Just wanted to share with all.

installed the cab file but nothing hapned

Have you tried going to Start, Settings, Today, Items then selecting the TF3D

You actually goto Start/Programs/Diamond TF3D Config
But....I've tried it and it crashes on mine with a Null reference error.

Its killed my touch screen and I cant navigate the start menu to uninstall or reset(hard)
I know I can press left and right button and soft restart = hard restart but is there a way to fix this without hard reset?

Yup, Killed my touch screen as well. Not recommended to use yet.
If you use the slide out keyboard, you can use the windows key and the d-pad to navigate to settings/system/remove programs

Try and delete the tweaks-file in the applications folder.

no problem running this on my x1

if you download the cab file from my XION ROM THREAD; THE ONE CALLED DIAMOND.... for xperia.cab it will work perect, and with the tweaks, but be carefule with the tweaks, as some work and some dont, some makes you have to hardreset the phone, and thats the performence tweaks.

If I remember correctly you have to be careful to untick TF3D from Today, then install & reset, then tick TF3D back.
Worked fine on mine EXCEPT it seems to have screwed up the "People" tab, I can't add any contact but still can access the menu (I've also added the "Comm Manager" Tab").
Anyone has the same problem? a fix??

this tools is intended for a previous version of a previous version of the first version of tflo3d that we currently have on our device... so make your conclusions.
It should works on some parts but I strongly discourage you to use it

I get an "unexpected error"
I did delete the tweak.xml file, but still get the same error.
Anyone with solutions?
I also tried Diamond...for xperia.cab, still the same error.

A guide for Brazilian people who wants to install WM6.1

First of all, let me say that so far, there is no Portuguese-Brazilian version of Wm6.1 for the HTC S-621 and maybe this will never exist at all…
If you are new to ROM Upgrading, you MUST read this! - PDF file - 2,5 mb + - (pages 1 to 11 only - keyboard issues are treated here)
That said, let´s cover the main issues you may have (at least the ones I faced) when upgrading to 6.1 for brazilian people.
Before we get started, let me tell you that I´ve tried all 4 flavors of roms available (so far) in this forum (in chronological order, i guess):
1 - Kavana
2 - Kavana remade by Rickwatt
3 - NGR Rose Rom
4 - NGR Rose Rom remade by Ricky and Stylez
And the best one that fits in my S621 (when you talk about funcionality and the little amount of trouble) is the second one (Kavana remade by Rickywatt) in this thread:

With all other ROM´s i had some irritating issues, like CAP key nonresponding, comm manager not opening when you click on it, dialing “0” (zero) and getting TAB instead, typing “£” sign instead of “ç” and so on….
The very first change you MUST do is changing emergency number (911 does not work in Brazil – 190 does). All other changes but this one can be postponed, once you are dealing with life!
In order to do that:
Goto START – ALL PROGRAMS – MYTOOLS – REGISTRY EDITOR
Find these Regkeys:
HLM/Security/ECall
Scroll Down to LIST, press Center Button and change the “911” number to “190” (wich is the emergency call here in Brazil) – Confirm Change.
Find
HLM/Security/EcallWithoutSIM
Scroll Down to LIST, press Center Button and add “190” number. Press Done, Confirm change and repeat steps with:
HLM/Security/ECallWithSIM
Add “190” to it the same way.
DO NOT softreset the device yet (it´s necessary for changes to take effect)... there are other changes to do before softreset (Just to not waste time resetting it several times).
Needless to say that by doing this, you´re setting your phone to dial 190 (the emergency number here in Brazil – Remember, this guide is for brazilian people) even if keypad is locked.

Now let´s change some regional settings to best fit our needs here in Brazil.
Goto START – SETTINGS – CLOCK AND ALARM – DATE AND TIME.
Change TIME ZONE from London,Dublin (mine is at it – Who Knows why?) to GMT -3 Brasilia. At this point, you are able to change clock top to 24 hour format (I prefer) by changing values on CLOCK ON TOPBAR item (this step is optional)
Yet in settings, goto REGIONAL SETTINGS and change LOCALE to PORTUGUESE-BRAZIL. Press Done then OK.
Remember DO NOT soft reset yet.
Click done twice.

Let´s fix keyboard issues
Download Attached file to your PC to set up keyboard.
Is it done? Cool... now let´s do the trick: Goto START – ALL PROGRAMS – TEXT NOTES and click NEW to create a new one. DO NOT TYPE ANYTHING YET! Press FN + SPACE Keys to bring the language menu. Navigate to LANGUAGE (3) Choose PORTUGUESE (8). At this point, try typing a single letter, like the “a” character. You´ll notice that the XT9 dictionary will suggest you to use “a à á â ã” (for those out of Brazil, we use this special symbols very often). This is the predictive text working as it should be in all other ROM´s, but unfortunately, things are not as it were supposed to be.
Let´s go on...
Try pressing FN key and type the “J” letter... You´ll get an £ (Libra) sign instead. Type FN key again and type the “K” letter…. You´ll get an $ (Dollar) sign. It´s wrong… at least in my keypad, if you press “J”, “K” or “L” with FN, you should get the “ç”, “º” and “ª” signs.
Nevermind… let´s fix this…
Done with your annoying “ HEY! this is not the key i wanted to show up” thing? Ok. Now you can discard the note (press MENU button and choose CANCEL).
Remember the “eT9.Excalibur.0409.kmap.txt” file attached here? Did you got it? Put it in your mobile´s Windows folder, replacing the existing one. Your keyboard is fixed now, but do not test it yet, because it needs a reboot to apply changes.

NOW is the time for the first soft reset. Press IE key (this will bring Celetask) goto MENU – UTILITIES – REBOOT – confirm and wait.
Get back to text notes (START – ALL PROGRAMS – TEXT NOTES and click NEW to create a new one), and try typing something, like “jo”. You´ll notice that the XT9 Dictionary is giving you some options, like “jô jogo José jogos jogadores jornal”. It means the dictionary is working properly, as it should be in all other roms, but unfortunately, it only works in Kavana´s remade by Rickwatt. God knows why!
Now, try to type any vowel (a e i o u). Let´s take “e” for example. The XT9 give you some options like: “e é ê”. You see? Again, it´s the predictive text working as it SHOULD be in ALL other ROM´S...
Let´s try one last word... type “versao". It Will give you the option to use “versao versão”. (Just for your knowledge us-citizens, versão means version).
Ok? Done? Are we even? Now, let´s make it more confortable to use...

Some will say: “Hey, there is a Free RAM utility already built into the ROM!” or “Hey, there is CELETASK that does this trick!”.
Ok... I agree... I totally agree and I surrender. Use it! You done? Now, go to main screen and try to go to Comm Manager... close it using celetask. Try to open it again…Could you? Me neither. It´s a very common and strange bug among alternative ROM´s.
Oxios memory does the trick without this issue!
Whenever you want to free up some RAM (and speeding up your smartphone as a consequence) use Oxios Memory (the icon is a skull with a black hat and a red stripe on top of the hat). It´s completely harmless and best of all – free and works!
That´s it… Rom developers, I hope you see this topic and try to help us here in Brazil by including at least the keyboard layout and the predictive text in your future rom´s.
I´m waiting for comments, thanks! I also hope to help other people in trouble, like I once was.

I don´t know how to change IE key to open IE, maybe some registry tweak, try search this forum... IE sucks a lot and I don´t care at all. Even when I was running the original WM6.0 from Vivo, I never used that key, so I really don´t care at all.
In the beginning of this thread, you may have noticed that there is a link to "KAVANA REMADE BY RICKYWATT" right on top of the post, so, it WAS remade by "anyone" (in this case, Rickywatt - Thanks, Rickywatt). Kavana was the first one, then came the others with improvements.
And as you may already know (because I assume you did read this thread entirely), this is the only ROM that I had no several issues with keyboard. All others were trouble and a pain in the * to fix keyboard. That´s why I gave up all others and stayed with Rickywatt.
If there is no portuguese option when you press fn + space, maybe it´s because it´s not Rickywatt´s ROM.
Please, download Rickywatt´s and try again the instructions I posted here. As I was making this guide, I was doing it in real time just to be sure it´s accurate. I did it three times in my device and three other times in different devices (I mean, the same HTC-S621 from different people). So, if you apply them step-by-step as I posted here, you´ll see things are gonna work properly.
And finally, I haven´t downloaded any CAB to make keyboard work properly. Almost everything was already built in Rickywatt´s ROM, I just made some adjustments in the TXT file posted here. As I said, install KAVANA REMADE BY RICKYWATT and follow my instructions here and you´re good to go.

second: I have a S60 BT, but I couldn't installed any rom. Every time I get a "corrupted rom" message. Have you ever seem this? I've read something that my phone could be blocked and that would be the reason.
I've tried to used that unlock from Rick, but didn't work. Do you have any more tip?

Try Google... Take a look @ this or this.
It's a very common error and easily fixed just by getting attention when upgrading ROM. There are SEVERAL topics about it. Use the search tool.

I tried to change de et9 file in Windows directory but in this version i'm using (wm 6.5 build 21848 nrgz evolution mod) there is some type of protection that prevents me from deleting/editing the file.
I attempted to change de read-only atribute but it doesn't changes.
Any ideas?

First of all, copy the txt file anywhere on your device using your pc.
Now, in your device, use Resco Explorer to copy (and overwrite) this file in the Windows folder. Restart and you´re done.

TT7.915 (9196) and hardware keyboard

A strange issue, here.
Only into TT7 (no other app involved) if I slip the keyboard and/or write a name of a city/street into destination with the hardware keyboard the software adds some extra "Å" for each key pressed.
Obviously, if I use Tt7 software keyboard all works fine.
What's wrong?! Am I alone with this (noisy and little) problem?

Known issue but it has a known fix for TP which people above failed to mentionned.
I think the TPII will have the same fix.

I've problem with cars icons instead of ugly arrow. I copyed art\cars\.... to my memory stick in to program files\tomtom7.195\ and when i run tom tom it can`t find any icons. help please

Tryed. No luck. Voices working fine. this is my second Tp2 and with the first one had no problem at all. But this one has Rom ver differend then the other. now i have 1.19.401.0

Finally found it. After hard reset, installing other ver. of tom toms, it appeared that the issue was i had too many cars icons in the folder. or something like that. I just delited 50% of them and now works like charm. thx for helping

It's the 7.916.9189 version too but this has not the bug...

I am using tomtom version7.916 with 835.2420 ( western europe ) map..
No keyboard problem anymore
