Guys I need your help..
3 days ago I upgrade my ROM from VIC ROM to DIB ROM but now my diamond goes weird...
If I soft reset the device it became a hard reset..Or if my diamond more than 7-8 hours standby it suddenly "hang" and if I soft reset then became a hard reset again...I think it's because a new ROM then I change to my old ROM (that before it's normal), but I didn't see any different, my diamond keep hard reset and hang..
Any one have suggestion or solution? What happening to my diamond?
Oh I almost forget same times if it hang and I soft reset the device it appears message like "Your device can't boot because it didn't turn off correctly or you install untrusted application..bla...bla.."
PLEASE HELP ME....

Problem mimics this thread ......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=490182.....might be caused by a bloated ROM
I had the same problem and for me this way works:
I flashed a new HardSPL (1.93 by Olinex)
Then made a Hard-Reset.
After the new HardSPL i installed the original 2.03 Rom from HTC
and made also a Hard-Reset.
Now my device works without any problems.
So I think, after my last step it is possible to install any cooked Rom,
but at the moment i don't know which one causes the crashes and it seems that a few others here have also problems so i will wait and see what happens in the next time...
(Im sorry for the English but I hope you can understand what I wants to say!)

Ouch!!!!!
I tried the radio update, during which I got a communication error.
Now I have a brick!
The blue i-mate screen comes up. the rom info is displayed (radio still says 1.03.00) and there it is stuck.
Now what? Hard reset? (how do you hard reset from that point?)
Bootloader? How is that done?
Please help. I am off to go under my blanket to cry.
Just retry the radio update again and again, put it in bootloader
How do I get bootloader? I tried the camera+power+reset combination but it still does the same thing, no bootloader menu.
Or do I have to have the bootloader files in the storage card first?
Can I also get help on how to extract the files. I don't know where the installer is putting the binaries, and at this point I would very much prefer not guessing what files to put where.
bootloader
try this
light + power + reset

That did something. Now I have a white screen (no light) that says "Serial" on top and "v 0. 60" at the bottom.
I have the following files in the sd:
EnterBL.exe
GetServiceData.exe
radio_.nbf
RUU.conf
RUU.dll
UI.dll
But it is not doing anything.
yes, now it's in bootloader. Now connect the jasjar to your pc and execute the upgrade. If it doesnt work kill the activesync processes (WCESMgr.exe and wcescomm.exe) and repeat the upgrade
OK! That seemed to work, but it still gets stuck at the bootup screen (except now it shows the new radio version).
The update program asks for a hard reset, but others in another thread mentioned they did not need a hard reset after this update.
Is there something else I can try before trying a hard reset?
I just spent a week to set the damned thing to the way I like, and don't want to do all that again.
I didnt hard reset. try resetting 2 or 3 times. If it doesnt work then hard reset
I took out the battery. Will wait a bit and try resetting a few times.
How long does it take for yours to show some activity after the rom versions are displayed?
It does take longer for this device to bootup, but I wonder if the new rom made a difference there.
Usually the blue boot screen disappears in 30 seconds. But when i installed pocket plus many times it keeped freezed and a had to reset 3 o 4 times.
Is your case?

Hmm. I don't have pocket plus, but I have the spb gprs monitor (or whatever it is called) at the startup. Maybe that's causing a problem with the new radio.
I will reset 3 - 4 more times and then do a hard reset.
If it does not come back from hard reset, the bawling you hear all the way out there is me.
he he . I ve spb gprs monitor too and it works fine.
good luck
When perform soft reset, wait 1 or 2 minutes before doing other soft reset
OK, now it is time to cry.
It is not coming back from hard reset either.
It is officially a brick. Any more ideas? Please?
thy to make the update again. Perhaps this revives it
if a radio update is available, maybe a rom update is around the corner.
Or just a recovery standard rom
Does exits an official rom to reinstall jasjar rom?
I am doing the radio update again to see if that helps.
I will probably need to contact imate support for a recovery rom image I suppose. I suppose I should tell them what I was doing.
But this update was from imate, right, so I didn't do anything "wrong".
If someone has a rom, please let me know.
So, I am getting the runaround.
iMate says they don't have the rom to send me and I should send the device to the service center. The service center says they don't work on JasJars there.
So I am stuck with a paperweight?
Try Hard reset....
Just try to Hard reset .. most probably one of your already installed S/W causes the machine to hangup.... once you clear after Hard reset it should boot up.. worse while before sending it back to imate and being blamed for loading un-official and not released update... Unfortunatly there no "shipped rom" yet. you best choice to recover the paper weight is to hard reset and perhaps load S/W again. ... I have been trying to dump the rom for days with no success .. once one of us can do it we are releaseed.
Good luck

Already did the hard reset (many times) and nothing changed.
The problem started after the radio update, and the hard reset does not reset that update (I see the new version on startup).
Unless there is a harder reset I can do, I suppose I will have to wait for the rom.
makes a grown man cry...
Hey guys, I've updated to wm6 and sometimes after my p3300 started to either black out or get into a irresponsive mode where the screen is just lightly on. No buttons replies! Once its happens the only solution is to do a soft reset and then pass to phase 2, try to restart it. That bad boy gets stuck directly at the loading process and its maybe - with luck- that it will go through the os loading after 10 tries and soft resets. The phone can work then from five minutes to ten hours and will get stuck again. What is Happening???!!! Also I don't think its the battery cause it does the same thing even with full battery. Last detail, I just passed the warranty limit and its too late to send it back. What can I do??
Did you updated with the official Rom?
Try to flash it again.
Or just try it out a cooked WM6.1 ROM. I recomend Artemis touch Vanilla 4.02.
Cheers
You tried a hard-reset?

If he upgraded it, then he didn't need it or it was the original WM6 ROM.
The problem was after upgrade!
Flash it again or do a hard reset!
Cheers
Thanks for the help. Yeah I installed the touch Vanilla 4.02 cooked WM6.1 ROM. And I believe the uspl was in the file. As far as I remember I ran it but had no feedback whether it worked or no...
Would a hard reset get the bad boy back to wm5 or reboot with wm6.1?
I *should* reset/default to factory settings for whatever ROM was last successfully flashed to the device. You will lose any installed programs/data so so a PIM backup/ActiveSync before hand if required.
Hi everyone.
I have a big issue with my phone. I decided to upgrade the rom by an official one (french HTC rom). I use the unsigned hard SPL and flash it. Since that, my screen is vibrating. I don't know what is the probleme (maybe the phone was too hot during flash and something burn inside ?).
I tried a hard reset => nothing best.
I'm a little big afraid :-( Anyone got an idea ?
Thanks a lot.
I think this is normal my Diamond vibrate on every Startup and when I inital an Call.
Ghostrider
No actually it's not the phone's vibration. It's the image on the screen witch is "flashing" and vibrating.
After a sleeping time, the vibrations are less visible.
If the image on the screen becomes "fuzzy" (like TV interference), it almost sounds like faulty screen some people were experiencing. I doubt it have to do something with your flashing, just happened coincidentially at same time.

Hi, i did have the same problem using TLR (cant remember what version).
What i did was to flash it again with another ROM (bElite v0.54) and my picture was fine after that
Ive got that problem when I flash ANY rom with HARD-SPL running so what I do is flash back to a stock version of spl (1.37) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324829&postcount=39
So in this order......
1 - Flash HARD SPL
2 - Flash rom
3 - Flash Stock SPL
Problem solved

Try what ratcom said. If it still flashes with standard ROM, I would advise you to make everything original again (ie original ROM & SPL) then send back to HTC for repair.
Hi. After my issue, I decided to downgrade the phone and, when I put the official SPL, it was working. 5 minutes later, I read ratcom's post that confirm the problem and the solution. So, this morning, after charging the battery, I used unsigned SSPL, put the HTC rom, get one more time the sreen issue, and reflash the SPL by an original one just like ratcom said. And ... it's working. No more sreen vibration ! And a new and nice HTC rom !
So, thanks for your help !
after installing a rom update my diamond reboots before windows mobile even appears. I see HTC diamond, seconds pass....vibrate....reboot.
is there anyway to break the cycle....i hope i haven't bricked it.....
please help..... i dont want a $280 crime deterrent device
I had this same problem when I flashed to 1.93, i got pissed and just set my phone aside and let it do its thing then it eventually booted up after like 10 minutes of rebooting. but now my phone is even more messed up because now my phone is not even picking up my t mobile network signal, so ya 1.93 does have some big problems, well at least to me it did. so now im looking to take my phone back to HTC for repairs as I have tried everything I could have myself.
Hard Reset
My friend had the same problem... He let it reboot for a while, ventually i it paused the rebooting and he had the chance to do a har reset. Has been running smoothe ever since.
Remember to do a hard reset everytime you install a new rom...
hello,
i solved this problem by going to bootloader-modus and flash it
with an other rom.
my problem was that i used my own cooked rom by cooking again ...
okokur

My phone shuts down by itself, after i see the HTC logo and i hear the shut down sound.
why is that happening, is it software or hardware?
PS: RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.93.401.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship

Buy another battery, It looks like battery problem.
Good luck
now the battery looks like it's working fine, i've flashed a new radio ROM, but it's getting turned off again :S
should i upgrade to the 1.93 HSPL? because i have a 1.93 ROM
can the problem be from the radio?
Same thing here,
Been flashing the diamond to the bone.
After flashing the (22 jul) verion of the NRG warhawk rom
I have been experiencing some glitches.
As it was my first step from wm 6.1 to 6.5 and I dont want to go back.
The errors ive experienced are not related to rom issues.
Because i got em almost with every rom.
- random restarts
- loss of contacts
- no responding of the device
And ive been reading about the MTTY sollution I go and try that one.
Enonoid, so you didnt find a soltuion to your problem?
and if not, what do you suspect the culprit is?

the problem isn't rom related running MTTY formats the chip where the rom resides its like reloading windows on your computer when you know there are bad sectors on your hard drive. it just wont happen follow the THE DEFINATIVE MTTY THREAD and honestly all should be fine it sounds quite tricky at first, but I use mtty everytime i reflash now saves whishing you'd done it once you've reinstalled everything and believe me its so easy if you just follow the guide.
