Titanium Weather Update v3a (WM6.5 ROM)

Hi, Found this in the Blackstone section of XDA
New Update for Titanium Weather

Instructions:
1. Uninstall Old Version, Soft Reset.
2. Go to Start>Settings>Today>Items Tab and untick windows default.
3. Install new version to device, Soft reset.
4. Go to File Explorer>My Device>Program Files>Titanium Weather and select the last item in the list (if sorted by name)
5. Enter City Detail which can be found here-
http://www.accuweather.com/us-city-list.asp?partner=accuweather&zipcode=birmingham+england
Area code will be at the end of the web address once you have entered your details, E.g www.accuweather.com/world-index-forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&locCode=EUR|UK|UK248|BIRMINGHAM&metric=1
6. Go back to Start>Settings>Today>Items Tab and tick windows default.
V3a Updates:
New Weather Icons
Low & High Temps.
Settings accessable from home screen
Descriptive information about weather.
Enjoy

I did hit a little snag while installing, did this happen to anyone?
the tab wouldn't show up at first, but after i installed the opera plugin, thats when the weather tab finally appeared. im using a custom cooked 6.5 from the kitchen

I'm having problems with the ZIP code.
Ive entered: "EUR|UK|UK241|LONDON" but it still says invalid location.
Are those meant to be pipes "|" used in the zip code?

hey... i've got an htc p3700 (touch diamond) and i know this is the x1 forum. i'm running the bsb6.5a rom and got the titanium theme witrh titanium weather. i can't seem to find the location code for my city. East London South Africa. and accuweather doesn't seem to have it eather. any help please.

Barogi awesome so far for v2; media player not staying in full screen mode though, and manila home weather under clock wont update when you push update now also getting error message for manila home on reboot

Great idea for a faq page!
I have been using a NFSfan rom on my bell vogue for a while, and it crapped out today for some reason. Rather than put another WM build on it, I wanted to change to Android.
I have looked through many pages in here, but I can't find a simple tutorial on switch from a custom WM build to a Android build. I prefer to use the NAND method so that I don't ever have to see WM again...
Can someone create or point me towards a step-by-step guide for installing Android? Keep in mind that I have absolutely no Android experience, and that my custom ROM is completely messed up, so would it make for sense to flash the a manf build and upgrade from there?

As far as WMP, Barogi will have to look into it since it is his rom.
One last thing, please do not double post. Thanks for understanding...

I have a question:
I recently flashed the Bell rom with the latest radio (I couldn't get the radio only nbh to apply properly), and then subsequently flashed with the latest NagROM rom (which is awesome btw).
Now of course, at startup i have the nice HTC screen with the rom version etc, followed by an AWFUL blue BELL screen (and then the nice orange wm6.5 screen).
Is it possible to change the blue BELL screen? And if so how?

There was a cab to change that somewhere around here in this section of the forum. Alternatively, you can flash NFSFan's rom (which will get rid of it), or you can try mine as well and then reflash Nag's rom.

Look in my signature. There is a guide for unlocking as well as superCID unlock the device. Let me know if you need help.

i just flash my vogue with the latest NFSFAN rom. can someone tell me the setting to get my gps to work? whenever i start googlemap it keeps on trying to connect through the data connection. (i did do that one step that NFSFAN asked for the gps dL that verizon cab)

Why did you change the E$N? Where you using the device in a different carrier?
Back to your problem. Your EPST settings should survive a hard reset as those are parameters that are not stored in Windows (afaik). It really makes not difference which rom you are using (at least for Voice and SMS).
Lets focus on your main phone's capabilities first. If your EPST settings truly got lost, you will need to get them from Verizon again. The main ones are the MSD and MIN. Make sure that you write them down this time as you will need them again if they go bye bye.
As for your internet, you will probably need to set the correct username in the phone's programming as well (also info that you will need from Verizon, but it should be something like [email protected] or something like that)
Do that and let me know if this works. They will have to program this for you this time, but once you have the values that I mentioned before, you will be able to do it yourself.

Try to get Barogi's latest "lite" rom. Also, you can't go wrong with vin's 28014 or NFSFan's rom. I would recommend mine, but I think they might be a little heavy for what you want. Good luck.

i checked out NSFSfan. It was nice, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much for what I want. Ill check out the other you suggested before i just flash back to stock rom

Try to avoid stock if you can... it has a bad tendency of being too heavy on the extra apps.

I checked out just SS's of both. Both look awesome, but theres something about the simple look ( or im just used to it since my 8125 ) of the stock look. I would like to have the look but the added memory of a cooked rom.
With NSFSfans, could you remove the today screen plug ins to get back to a more stock look?
Im runnin 2.1 android eclair at the moment, and im barley pulling a full day battery with no data/bluetooth. With the old winmo, I was getting 2.5 days-3days. Thats another main concern for me.

First of all! Great forum! You guys have build a great community and I like it. But I hope you can help me with this. i know there are a lot of threads about this, but because all the different type of phones/android versions ect... I don't know what to do...
My question, how can I get Adroid running on my HTC Touch Pro 2 (Rhodium). I have the standart version, so not a branded one.
I've tried to install it but android won't launch. Maby one of you could create a mini tutorial or a noob tutorial, because I think there are more people like me (with less knowedge of phone tech) who want to run android on their phones. I hope you could help me!

Instructions for .cab:
Cab is only WWE for the moment. If you still want to try this build skip down to the .rar for any other language.
If you are installing this over an old version of android, and you do not format your SD card, make sure that you at least delete data.img file from your SD card!
Copy to SD card
Install: This .cab does install directly to your SD card.
Soft Reset your handset
Run Haret from start menu and enjoy!

Haret is part of the android program. (haret.exe)
You can either use a file explorer to navigate to storage card/android/haret
or with the .cab installs (anything after 2/22) you will get an icon in your start menu.

yea thanks i did a little digging and was finally able to understand that

i dont know why posts like this are started. its so easy to use this perfect cab file! nothing else to do. if people would read just 10 minutes in other threads all questions should be answered...

Thank you! It works now, but is it a known problem that you cant fill in the correct code (PIN code for your SIM?).
And second I can't charge my battery with the usb cable is this also a known problem?

Disable your pin in WinMo as stated in my release notes.

NO there is no android version with working wifi for rhodium yet...

I have Android installed on my phone and it works fine except one MAJOR thing. I messed up the touch screen calibration and now I can't use the touch screen in android and I cant figure out how to recal the touch screen in android.
Got it. i just deleted the ts calibration file from the android project folder and started android again.

Ok man maybe you can help me out with the problem im having. I go to file explorer and i launch Haret.exe and it immediately takes me to the linux booting page with the penguin at top. But it soon stops saying "Cant access tty. Job control turned off. And it doesnt move from there. What am i doing wrong?

delete all the contents from the .cab file you downloaded, make sure your memory card has wiped any remaining files from the original download, re-install and make sure you are downloading the correct .cab file for your handset, install to memory card and try again.

Everyone was a noob at one time or another including you and asked questions that have been asked a million times already. Stop treating people like idiots. Help them or stop reading the thread. Someone else will help them out. It's not that serious. I can tell you one problem here that I encountered was a thread would be started and trail off into someting completely different never answering the first question. After reading pages upoon pages you get nothing. Some people like myself have real lives and real jobs and dont have time to sit here and read every post. If you take it so serious maybe you should sticky an informative how to guide and maybe that will stop people from bothering you so much.

I was actually on XDA for about 6 months, reading, before I finally decided to even MAKE an account, because I didn't want to be "That Noob". It was about another 6 months to a year before I posted anything at all. As you said yourself, most questions have already been asked a million times. This means that it is only a matter of reading, before you find someone that has asked the same question. In most cases once you find the question, and read a little further it leads you to the answer. He was smart enough to post in the correct sub-forum, which means he must have read through the forums a bit anyways. It wouldn't have taken much more work to read the top 3 sticky threads in that same sub-forum, and find the answer to the question.

I can get the whole thing to load however I cannot ever get the start screen (touch the androind to start) to ever let me touch it. The only thing that works is the keyboard input. Any suggestions?

O.K. So UOT Kitchen zips are no longer compatible with CWM3, well no worries... This isn't an "AUTOMATIC" method, but it'll simplify the process for you. Just download the file and read the README file (no extension, just open with a text editor, or add the ".txt" extension to it) in the zip before posting ANY questions... I don't plan on maintaining this thread because it's pretty straightforward and you'd have to either be trying to mess this up, or just shouldn't even be doing this, for it to not work. I'm sorry if that sounds "harsh" it's not meant to be, just being honest.
PREREQUISITES: Don't even try this if you don't have these already!
1. UOT KitchenZIP from the UOT Kitchen.
2. Java SDK Installed
3. A little common sense (goes a long ways)
P.S. I take no credit for ANY of this, the updater-script is based on other peoples work, I simply edited to work for this purpose, ALL CREDIT goes to the original authors of these files! (rmk, eViL D: and Dave da illest (auto-sign.bat, slightly modified by me))
P.P.S. this will probably be obsolete when UOT Kitchen 3.0 is released, at that time I will ask that the mods lock this thread as it will no longer serve a purpose.

ok mods, UOT Kitchen 3.0 is live and supports CWM3, so this thread can be closed/locked... guess I was a little late to the game... haha... oh well... that's what I get for being so slow to update CWM, otherwise this probably would have been around a little longer... haha...

COPY THEM TO YOUR SD CARD
( I consider that you already have an ext partition, if it's already done go ahead ... )
2- Find you Recovery 150M folder on your computer then find flash.cfg file , open it with note pad delete the current text then do copy/past
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 300M
cache ya 10M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
after that save your modifications then flash again by using DAF.exe file which should be in the same folder
3- Go to CWM , then do a wipe cache , and wipe Dalvik (advanced)
4 - Install de Original ROM which should name "Kingdom_Sprint_WwE..." by choosing a zip installation in CWM

5- Reboot your system after installation then Wait until the lock screen loaded (it may take several minutes)
6- Now, put out you battery and go again in recovery
7- install "mount sd fix for sense 3" by going in choose zip installation then select the fix

8- install "new kkernel apha relase" by going in choose zip installation then select the kernel then install graphic glitch fix for sense 3
9- DO a fix permission
10- ENJOY !!!!!

Seriously, there are 3 or 4 threads about the same rom and fixes that were already mentioned... why could this not be posted in an existing thread rather than making a new thread with information that is already available!? And new threads asking devs to put this all together? I believe that is covered somewhere under the rules as a violation.....Come on guys... be patient.... and stop posting new threads about this...... the more you annoy about it, the more annoyed dev's are going to get about it and not want to do anything with it.........be patient, wait and there will be a decent rom released when it is released with all fixes and [email protected]$$ sense 3......I'm annoyed because I'm browsing the forums for something new and find the same thing repeatedly..... at least post in an existing thread rather than making a new thread......

Take a look at that. Its pretty confusing with all the steps mixed up + because gioiellino's english is a bit off. This poster here, lilzy, he simply put it all together in one post. Its says tutorial in the topic title, I am not sure why your attacking him. If you read the last few pages on that topic there are like 10+ people stating they are confused and have no idea what to do. This guy instead of posting it in the last page where it would probably go un-noticed he posted out here.
Maybe he should have asked gioiellino to put it in OP instead

Yes, or he should have left in in the thread where he already posted it.... and this "tutorial" makes no sense whatsoever.... the same files are flashed over each other and one or 2 of the files that you are told to download arent even said to be flashed in the instructions.... so it was a useless post.... and it was already psoted in another thread....look at what is in ecah of the "5 required files" a couple of them have the same filenames....I dont even know what to make of it.....Anyways, whether it makes sense or not... my point is to not make a new thread about it... the same thing was already posted in one of ther other 3 existing threads....(THE EXACT SAME POST!!) and if no one knows what to do with all of it..... shouldn't they be patient and wait for someone to release a rom with everything in it?

I actually retract my statement...he did post in the topic there as well, its actually top of page 9. Ayayay nvm delete. Its been pretty good lately though, just roms and good dev. work on page 1.
Just someone thinking they were helping but did so in the wrong way...

I have one question... which of the 2 kernels I am instructed to download do I flash?
install "new kkernel apha relase" by going in choose zip installation then select the kernel then install graphic glitch fix for sense 3
2 of those files are kernels and overwriting one of the others kernel and modules..... earlier today before all this other stuff was posted, I ran the rom perfectly....... And rather than just locking the thread, they should all 3 be merged with one OP stating everything that needs done....

I did all the above steps but I lose Service?? Any Ideas

If I were moderator of this section of the forums I'd let it stay as it has helped me and does work.
So please, no more of the "I think this should stay/shouldn't stay" banter; saying if it should stay/shouldn't stay only muddles the topic. And also, let the moderators do their jobs please.

Muddles which one of the topics? Thread 1, 2 or 3? Posting multiple threads about the same thing muddles the whole forum!!! Which is my point.... Maybe it is helpful to some.... but 3 or 4 threads for the same rom.... is just "muddling" the hell out of the whole forum like I said,.....

I think a bit different phrasing of the files might be in order.
For example _
--In step "8- install 'new kkernel apha relase' by going in..." you may be better off renaming it to the file labled "test1_for_cwm_roms.zip" as it actually states in the recovery menu.
So maybe it could read:
8- install file labled "test1_for_cwm_roms.zip" (which adds newest 'e2fsprogs' to /system/bin/)
