i need to run field test on asus p535 ive tried many programs but i guess problem not related program. looks like os problem. please inform me what must i do? can i install htc roms ? or can i change my ril.dll etc..

I had bought ASUS P535 in Ukraine, I bought it thinking that its OS is in English but the OS is in Russian language
I tried a lot seeking help from ASUS technical support and as well as Microsoft but none helped I even went to the local service center which deals with ASUS PDAS but they too refused to help.
Actually i have checked recent posts about changing but they date back to march 2007 or older date with older firmware versions from ASUS. I am afraid if i do as they have mentioned then there might be some error because mine is windows mobile 6 professional in Russian.
Here are the details which i find in my Russian OS :-
from MENU -> SETTINGS -> SYSTEM INFORMATION - >
DATE ROM - 2007/7/27
VERSION PZY - V4.7.20RUS_RU00
VERSION BOOT BLOKA - 070416122657
VERSION DOPOLNITELNOGO PZY - V1.9.1 RU00
Please do help me regarding the extact procedure and also which ROM to put in mini SD card.
I want to install English language because i understand it better.

Hi
First, all that I will tell you now, applies to P525, that I have and tried myself. While P535 maybe is similar, it also can differ.
To change the OS language, you will need to flash an English (WWE) ROM instead of default russian one.
You can get English ROM update from ASUS support site, but it will refuse to install because of different language. To circumvent it, you use special "unlocklangid' utility or flash ROM via non-standard "bootloader" method. Boths are described in the custom ROM threads in this forum (at least for P525).
To get more help specifically on P535, I recommend you to try asking here - http://asusmobile.ru/board/viewforum.php?f=62

you can directly use .nb0 rom .it can let you go back to wm5.dont use .cap its dangerous and cant work.but you boot will keep 07.....

have a P525, originally purchased in UAE(English).
have sucessfully flashed to various WM6 Mobiz roms, v10, 18, 19 etc
now want to revert back to WM5, as PIM does not transfer, etc and many other programs (from WM5 ) do not work in WM6 environement.
Baut cannot revert back to WM5.
- downloaded various ASUS WM5 ROM, WWE, WWE ARA all versions 3.43 etc
- have tried using both bootloaders 06xxxxx and 07xxxxx
- with any official ASUS ROM, always get the following error
ROM image found :\MiniSD Card \Galaxy.cap
Language(English), is compatable with the device language(Unassigned).
then click System- Rom update , and imiditaely get the error:
ROM update cannot be applied to this regions version!
- i have also tried the ASUS.UnlockLangID ( runing this before attempting above update), but no difference, same error.
- i have also tried changing the local in system properties, to English, Arabic, Thai and reatempt falshing with ASUS WM5 roms but always get same error message as above.
PLEASE HELP
were can get .nb0 WM5 ROMs please?

Hi, I had try to update the new Extended ROM Version V1.8.3 in Traditional Chinese for my Asus P525 (Traditional Chinese vision), but the firmware does not execute automatically, even though I try execute the Autorum.ext under the folder, it still won't execute. I had been successful upgade to WM6 before, everything works fine. But now, I can't update, Please kindly help me with this issue. Thank you in advance.
Where did you get it?
Official ROMs does not have such thing as "Extension ROM update". Extension ROM gets updated with main ROM update.
p.s. I realize that you may be trying to upgrade the Extension ROM of P525 using a HTC Extension ROM, it is not possible!
Hi, I am sorry for the mistype of rom. I had download the newest vision from TW/ASUS that they release on 12/31/2007, however, I just can't get the Autorum.ext auto start, Please kindly help.
p.s. I had follow the steps on Asus website and all of the update so far at my P525 are from the Asus website as well. But once I click the Autorum.ext, it only shows 自動更新程式 on the top, then nothing happen. I don't see the question 要更新裝置韌體嗎? as they explain on their website.

i am very new in this handheld business and before i go ahead and crash the device i thought i could get some assistance , i already read some of the threads regarding from french to english and chinese to english.My thing is i just bought this yesterday in italy and once i get started with it . reallized that the whole thing is ,in italian its from a cell provider called TİM in italy.So can anyone guide my step by step what to do in order to make this device all english

You must download from ASUS 2 firmwares, ENG and CHN.
Extract in your SD the folder 2577 from ENG version
Overwrite autorun.exe in SD\2577 with the one in CHN version.
Put your SD in your p320 and play!!!
The difference is in autorun.exe, chinese version doesn't check language, so you can flash what you want!!!
Thanks i will try it as soon as possible , since i work on a cruiseship , the internet connection is very bad , so first i have to get the chinese firmware since i have the the ENG version , from the CHN version i just need the autorun.exe nothing else right and delete the autorun from the ENG version.

i tried to flash the english.bin using the chinese autorun.exe but it still doesn't work , i even tried to flash the whole chinese 2577 file first to see , if that would make a difference , in the end it still gives failed message (during soft reset) or it tells me to ensure its the same language .
So i am looking for other ways.
Please anymore assistance is needed

download the rom from HP support site, and re-flash it on a non-vista computer --- should work.
How can I update the ROM of Ipag 914c to change the language.

I've extracted flash.nbf file from setup then cut the first 3431 bytes then copied to sd card as flash.dio.

What keys i should hold for sdloader mode volup-ok-reset didn't work for me. Only when i press side wheel with ok then i was get is Dowloading Qualcomm Image at top of screen then nothing happen...

I upgraded my Ipaq 914c with original ROM from HP and i have same results. DEAD.
I do the same mistake...
problem is windows Vista. So, please charge you phone to min 40% and try to update with original ROM from HP site but on Windows XP.
Flash is passed and you phone has been alive....

and one more thing i had the same problem in hp rw6815 so one of our forum member gave me an RUU patched which really worked an it was very easy an effective so if anyone can provide sthe same kind of RUU patched for the ipaq 914c i be really very greatful to him

I've bricked my 914C during an upgrade (for up. in italian sp43440.exe) i've forgotten my sd card inside and now the device became a brick!
When i turn on the 914 the writing "RUU...." appears and remains stuck on this screen. When I want to turn off the phone i must to remove the battery.
I tried to follow the following guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511548 but i don't have XP, only Vista, which doesn't work with the information reported.
Please help me!
