Please help me root and put cwm on my phone.
My current android version is 4.0.4 stock rom.
I am living here in the Philippines.

you will need to revert your lu6200 back to gingerbread (stock firmware version 135), then follow the guide found on this forum to root and install cwm.
On stock 4.0.4 (i assume your are on software version of lu620161 (check your version under setting) you won't be able to root your phone depending on how you updated your phone.

You can flash the ICS engineer version in order to get root: http://115.com/file/e79w9lmj#LU620042-00.kdz
For flashing the KDZ file you better use this version of updater, i already integrated the windows enabler in it. So no need to install / activate the windows enabler: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0x75ol8y4uwz69r/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.rar
Make sure you are in USB debugging mode, or better close your phone... hold Volume up and power button. This get you into download mode and now you can start the update tool for flashing the KDZ file.
After install finished you root your phone: https://www.box.com/s/891052e09272fb345bc8
If root process finished you can bring CWM onto you phone: http://115.com/file/c26taagr#RecoveryNEW.zip
If all that is done, you should be able to flash any ICS custom ROM available for the moment.

You want to stock rom version 162. And here is the link:

I have been reading your posts in the whole forum regarding LTE LU6200 ... I want to get my hands on Engineer version but I can't seem to understand the Chinese even with translation. The site ain't giving me direct link... I think i need to get register on the site which requires a Chinese phone number ... which I dont' have... is there any way you could share this on dropbox? etc? coz I can't/dont' know how to download from 115.com :S

Any other method? tried this one couple of times but still doesnt work on LU620162

I know how to do it but all the links I can find to the necessary software are dead or not working , I need the one key Rom installer for the ascend p1 and the Huawei sub drivers , I've downloaded countless zip and rar files and their all broken , I was wondering if anybody that has this phone and rooted it has copies of these files and if they could mirror them

then to install clockwork mod use adb and this file below, when it asked for blaze driver choose select adb generic, you will need android sdk toolkit :laugh:

Thanks for your help I really appreciate it but I tried that method of rooting and it failed I think it only works on b113 and b115 firmware , I'm on b102.
Just for reference what firmware version are you on,,?

OK I got it sorted , what I did was I installed the android SDK which sorted out the driver issues, then I installed cwm touch viva beta.IMG recovery through fast boot then in recovery I installed su-bb installer zip which gave me toy access, then I installed a cm10 port and all went perfectly.

Excellent, once you have recovery installed you just flash a rooted ROM...simples !

No I didn't install a rooted rom just a zip which injects superuser and busybox

My case is different from the link you posted.. mine is stuck in Boot animation logo. any other link that can help me restore my Firmware back to stock rom? or atleast restore the current OS

Everything relating cpu, memory, display size etc seems the same.
For as far I've seen the only differences are : bluetooth version, LTE and android version.
I think in the worst case you will just keep having the bootloop, or you won't be able to use LTE and/or bluetooth the way it should..
Either way, I don't take any responsibility's on me, but if it were me I would try it.

here is what i get after following this instruction.
1. Download and copy ME372CG_all_WW_user_V5.2.2.raw file to your external SD card
2. Turn Off your FonePad 7 and start Droid Boot (press and hold Volume up button and Power Button)
3. Select SD Download
4. Now your FonePad 7 will reboot and start flashing Build 5.2.2
5. After that when you are done refer to @MEHRDAD595 Rooting Thread here
6. After Rooting Download Partial Update file and rename it to dlpkgfile (make sure there is no extension)
7. Using Root Browser copy this file to /cache and make a new file in /cache/recovery named "command" (no quotes) edit it using text editor and enter following
e:No detect /sdcard/ASUS_bundle.zip file!
Installing demo content!

try the 2 official one at the bottom of the post, the complete bottom.
There is an official one for both sku versions.
If you would expect any raw to work, it would be the official from asus, no?
If you get one of these two to work, quickly make nandroid backup and then you can continu to flash the one you want, perhaps via official update or so

i got same error result sir..i guess this model requires different files for flashing (ASUS_BUNDLE.zip) because i try to rename the raw file it continue and rebooted the tab then execute ERASE. after that it prompts again for another sets of errors pertaining to unable to extract bla bla bla and errors can't fine media resource files.
maybe i should for the official release of asus.

Hello i have this problem one month ago i risolved it with SP Flash Tool.
1) First to do you have to download Htc Desire 526g Rom and then download this tool SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.01_SEC i used this version for me Working.
2) Download fastboot and adb
3) Extract downloaded Rom
3) open Sp Flash tool and when is writed Download-Agent put DA_SWSEC.bin for Sp Flash Tool Folder and when is writed Download File put MT6582_Android_scatter.txt you can find it in Extracted Rom
4) Turn off you phone and remove battery
5) Put usb cable to phone without battery and hold down volume Down and press Download at Sp Flash Tool and when process finish you phone Work.

you must to use Sp flash tool only.
