[APP] RESCO Contact manager - BETA & Free! - Touch HD Themes and Apps

I don't think many people are aware that Resco has launched a Beta release of their new Contact manager. At the moment it's free for download and has a license included, so I recommend you try it out while you can!
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/contactmanager/
The application itself works really nice on HD. It's in full screen, with pretty much the same functions as we've seen on Yota contacts + it has an SMS screen that shows threaded SMS in a much better way then standard WinMo.
It supports Favorites, Call history, Contacts, SMS viewer and a Dialpad.
Of course, it's not nearly implemented into TF3D, altough the app sets itself as default Contacts. Biggest plus is the speed - it's a very fast application. Downside for me is - it's a bit on the ugly side Yota looks much nicer.

Mod warning
Dear All
Resco doesnt need anyone posting mirrors to cabs elsewhere, atleast where XDA is concerned. Resco has registrations policies required for download the files and we have to follow those the way we follow our policies
Happy downloading from Resco and continue with your discussions here
Anyone found voilating this rule shall be banned and the mirrors removed

I've personally kicked out Yota since the release of this app because it was buging my phone sometimes and the worth thing is that is was draining a lot my battery....
But this resco contact, is really awesome !
really fluide, it is automatically mapped on the call buton, and really useful.
For a beta version it is really promising

yota also annoying my HD. creating lots of bugging. resco contact manager is a good option~ importantly, it's free!

cool! i like it tooooo!
no languages options but its ok!
thx a lot

options and skins will surely come in the next release as this is the first beta!!!

it is really fast this app ... i love it so far

Thanks for the info Rozenthal.
I just wished there had been a .cab file to download.
For the time being, I'm away from my PC so will have to wait before installing and using this little gem.

tell me about it i'm a mac user and have to start that crap thing windows xp ...

That is a very valid point you mention there berkut_g.
I wonder how difficult it would be (and the legal implications) to recompile as a .cab file?

it's fast! even faster than iContact! It replaces the dailer, but its dailer doesn't support Video Call. Too bad but I need Video Call. It also has some problems with rotation - from landscape and then back to portrait...

cool fast and nice design

Ah well, installed!
Feels great and very very fast!
Best contact manager so far.
I also like Yota, but that's much heavier and slower.
EDIT:
Just received a call: screen totally messud up!
Somehow Resco also tries to change this???
EDIT 2:
Via program files, Resco Contact: click on RPMOpt - "don't manage incoming calls". Works better now

I installed it on my Sprint Touch. It's a really nice program. I wish the touch sensitivity was a little better (when selecting "Call Home", "Call Mobile", "Send SMS", etc on each contact). I have to really hit the button just right towards the bottom for it to work. It is still beta so I'm sure they'll improve on it. I used the love Vito Funcontact but this app will be my new replacement. Try it out!
Edit: The "Manage Incoming Calls" is working nicely on my phone... so far.

MOD EDIT: Cab removed. No mirrors needed by Resco

Resco Contact Manager
I tried it two days ago, but uninstalled it due to buggy network shortcuts on the today plugin, and limited contact functions.
Replaced it with phoneAlarm and iContact Burt edition

Thanks Rozenthal, good find.
Really nice contact program.

Must have apps Productivity applications

Guys, let's start this thread
Must have apps
1. RSS- for me Freerange, its a must I've tried all of them but for my cup of tea I love this app, great customizations, internal viewing browser, its sweet !!
2. Weather - this is an easy one NRG's MiniWeather for sure no doubt, it simply the best, Kudos to NRG
3. Instant Messaging - Windows Live Messenger and JiveTalk beta, just love the natural feel of the WLM client and for the other protocols www.beejive.com is great as well, great graphics but its still in beta, I was one of their first customer with Blackberries and it does work like a charm on that platform, so I'm hoping the final Windows Mobile product is as smooth as the Blackberry.
4. Notes - the native notes app that comes on the Samsung Blackjack II, its nice and functional and it syns to Outlook 07 for those that are not on Exchange
5. Outliner - Efficasoft Outliner, its simple, small memory footprint and very reliable
6. Celetask - great Task managager
7. Todos - Oxio's Todo List 6.1, it works like a charm with a fair degree of customizations and highly reliable
8. GPS - Google Maps, Live Search, Garmin Mobile XT (gps app loaded to the miniSD, very sweet)
9. LedAlerts - it handles all the LED notification on my BJII and it also compatible with the Dash and all other smartphones, its assest to my setup
10. Browser - is there really another, in my eyes Opera Mobile 8.65 works like a charm, like it better than Opera Mini
11. Voice Notes - guys, check out the guys from WebIS, check out the app called "Note2Self", this is how it works, hit a key record your message and it will email you the voice notes via activesync to any email, so I have it sent to myself and created a folder and a rule in Exchange 2007 to receive all these notes, its a great "Getting Things Done" addin in my humble opinion, it will also let you save the notes to the memory card as well in orb or wma format, I give this app 100 stars and very cheap.
12. Backup - Spb Backup - simply 100% reliable
13. Passwords - Spb Wallet - very nice interface and customizations
14. Screen Capture by Ilium Software - small footprint and works like a charm
I hope we can share more
15. SkTools - great byte cleaner
16. SmartToolKit - Great vista lookalike taskbar at the bottom
17. Skyfire Beta - The best browser yet
18. KinomaFreePlay - Best Youtube video, I recommend you check it out. It could be downloaded from below under my signature labeled as Smartphone Programs. I recommend this to everyone...
19. PocketNester - NES Emulator Lots of Fun...
Music Player - Pocket Player
Video Player - CorePlayer with YouTube Viewer
TV & Radio - Spb Online
Calendar - Papyrus
Photo Viewer - Resco Photo Viewer
Alarm - pTravelAlarm
Backup - Spb Backup
Task Manager - acbTaskMan hold more info than Celetask
Wi-Fi Finder - WiFoFum2
Volume - SetVolume
Browser - Opera Mini & Mobile
VNC Client - MochaVNC
Notes - Vito Audio Notes
only in england does spb online (tv,radio..) count as productivity software...i gotta go there once i learn the language
hi stylez
Parlingo is also cool
Although its not an app, Screen guards or savers are great as well, so I thought I add mine
www.bestskinsever.com for me they are the best, they are coming up with BJII total body guard in two weeks, they already have a screen for the DASH which I absolutely loved

I just use reQall. Sign up for an account. Call from your mobile. They transcribe and email the results.
You can also use keywords. If you say "Buy milk" it starts a shopping list. You can add things whenever you think about it. Then when you are on your way to the store, you call tell it to send the list as an SMS.
Best of all, it's free.

Haha that program is awesome... Works like a charm...
1. RSS- Newsbreak - (Illiumsoft) It works the best for me. NO ADS. It does a good job with podcasts as well.
2. Weather - Showaco/Outerdepth or NRG's. See you need a sports ticker it's mandatory. NRG's is so clean but sacrifice is the key.
3. Instant Messaging - Palringo just owns with sending pics/voice messages only in beta too. It's light and quick. I only use AOL as my client cause I'm an old foggie that doesn't need 5 messaging programs. AIM Messenger mobile is now in final and works nice and has a great interface. Little more heavy.
4. Notes - I don't take notes have a photographic memory. Lies
5. Celetask - great Task managager (agreed) plus SKtools to clean up monthly.
6. GPS - Google Maps, Live Search,
Garmin Mobile XT (gps app loaded to the miniSD, very sweet) How do you use Garmin Mobile unless you have a Bluetooth adapter receiver?
9. Alerts - Been using DontForget forever...Thinking of trying a switch to LedAlerts if it removes the blinks unless to inform me of notifications.
10. Browser - Opera Mini for speed. For flash Skyfire, Opera mobile also in there.
11 Backup - Sprite - wouldn't change does the same as SpB
12. Passwords/ETC - Code Wallet Pro
13. Dashwire - your oh **** backup for basic necessities. Contacts, Photo's, Emails, Texts.
14. Pocket Player - best in music so clean and sexy...still can't get podcasts to work who cares.
15. Core Player - Never looked back but still hold on to TCPMP
16. Showaco Pocketsportscenter plugin - gotta have your sports updates.
Oh I forgot about the Showaco Pocketsportscenter plugin this program is amazing... its a mini espn for me lol
Garmin Mobile XT works with windows mobile devices that an internal gps or a bluetooth gps, it goes in an MiniSD card, I have mine loaded on a 4gb card, you basically select the regions you want, its very cool

Titanium plugins (CLauncher & CComm) for WM6.5 Standard

I am porting some Titanium plugins for WM6.5 Standard.
Currently, I have ported the CLauncher & CComm, both of which were originally developed by "chriscsh" and quite good.
You can find out more information about these plugins on their corresponding threads:
* Titanium CLauncher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=514490
* Titanium CComm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513747
The plugins require Mortscript, which is also included below.
I have only tested and verified the plugins using the PD Titanium panels on the EnergyROM. However, I believe they should work on the 3vo ROM as well. These plugins use the ATPluginInstaller, which provides a robust installation and limits compatibility issue with other panels.
Here are some screenshots:
(CLauncher showing two applications, Facebook & Tiny Twitter)
(CComm showing the two pages, Setup & Phone connection)
(Steps for adding an application to the CLauncher panel, in this case, Opera Mini)
is there anywhere we can add another panel? one for apps another for games if possible?
Well.... not exactly. The CLauncher is a single panel.
The idea here is to be able to access and launch applications that are used very frequently (maximum of 9). It really does not matter if they are games, utilities, online applications, native applications.
The feature that you ask for would need to be implemented in a different plugin.
thats what im saying like an a cab that will let us another panel like clauncher
This two are working great, the only one i miss is the contact panel,
i dont have much experience with this type of mods, and im getting an atplugin error, so if anyone could help i would really appreciate.
can someone help me set this up no idea how
yeah working fine in portrait mode too!!! (some fix to the cpr but nothing impmossible!!)
really good job!
now we need a way to add more than one launcher... it could be great and usefull!!

O.k once you install the .cabs I had to go to Chome Config. and "show" both panels. You can the go back to you home screen and setup the CComm panel. As for as the CLauncher panel goes manual input works best; expecialy if your apps are located on your storage card, i.e \Storage Card\Program Files\Facebook\facebook.exe. Then you name it, and choose a icon. Ihave Chome Config. Icon-pak installed and I get mine form there. Hope this helps. I would love to have Chome Config work fully on WM6.5 though.
Ok, I am scratching my head just a little here. I have this set up and it is working well. I am able to launch a couple of programs. Of course I set those app's up using the "Choose from list" method. Now....here is the problem. I am trying to add the Opera Mini app using the manual method referred to in your 3th picture, but my Branded T-Mobile Dash does not seem to have a forward slash "\", only a backward slash "/". Am I blind, or just being a n00b? I have looked the keyboard over and over again, and honestly, I don't think it has it. Help please.

Ah. I see said the blind man. Heck, I didn't even know that was what that button is for. Guess it would have helped if I read my owners manual, lol. I was so used to texting on my previous phone, Motorola RAZR. Like I said before, I am new to the smartphone/full keyboard thing.
Thanx man. I would have taken forever figuring that out.

Now i feel like i wasted 30 minutes of my time or that i'm not as lazy as some people who use roms.... when i installed the 3vo rom series i spent the first 30 mintues after initial setup editing one of my chome panels so i could have a programs panel with facebook, twitter, oz messenger, youtube, and opera mini. the made a second panel for my comm settings, reboot, and free memory. lol. i guess when the final version is released i'll just use your ports instead of wasting my time. lol

HKLM\Security\CHome\DefaultSettings\""Your panel name"
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\""Your panel name"
The export is on My documents so after you export copy it to your SD card
Hope this help and save some time next time

Who here disabled TF3D?

Anyone disabled TF3D and kept the original WM home screen interface? I personally disabled it and kept the original interface even though I don't like how the WM SMS look. I disabled it because I don't like the default TF3D colors and I tried changing it black, but it's a no go. I don't know why! I did change the background and the drop menu all black which looks pretty neat since anything black looks good. What I really want is the WM6.5 Zune interface so I can't wait for WM6.5 official release!!!
Let us know what you have.
TF3D does not appeal to me!
TF3D is pretty, so people "oooo" and "aaah" over the phone and buy it.
However, I still think that TF3D is a bunch of useless kitsch that gets in the way of actually using the phone effectively. After a few hours of it interfering with what I want to do, I turned it off. (At least this time it took a few hours and not a few minutes.)
This is especially true of the messaging (it's just in the way), and the photo album. (who wants to see tiny, slanted, distorted versions of the pictures?) It's been a while, so I cannot remember the other specific things that annoyed me.
TF3D was the first thing I disabled on the device... I don't like that I cannot choose my own programs and way of working.
I use Wisbar Advance and Wisbar Desktop
on my personal Touch HD I much prefered the TouchFLo interface to the standard windows one - saying that, that was running a Dutty ROM
However on my work TP2 - I have it disabled as it gets in the way of my business apps - i.e. MS Communicator etc.
TF3D has bad things an good things.
The biggest failure and that's why TF3D is just crap is because it's not intuitive and easy to use. Way to many steps to get things done, pretty useless taskbar (exepts for the killing programs part). You can do to much information on one screen at the same time and too little. It's nice that they include things like a calendar, but it's pretty useless and in many ways TF3D makes the use of third party software actually harder.
The very good things about touchflo 3d is the push pages, the scheduels, and the best thing is the fueture to see all of your conversation with one contact. I really love it. Next to that it's snappy and pretty.
Well I treid SPB mobile shell 3, but it just doesn't do it. Also many features, but the fact is: when I use my phone it's to get something done pretty quickly. I just want to be able that I have a good view of all the info I need (messages, appointments) in the least ammount of time and to be able to do something in little time. The regular wm is just very easy. Start - settings/programs - choose- done.
Seeing my messages when there is a new one I get a popup and pres view and I there. I do not have to click the task baar. Get a new screen there push on the button, then being transported to the touchflo tab and then have to choose the message.
THats 2 clicks vs 4/5 clicks.
I kept the default TF3d for now, as soon as the official WM 6.5 ROM will be available, I'll switch to the Titanium UI.

An interesting 'Widget' based replacement for TF3D I came on when I was looking around on XDA.
"FEWidgets Ultimate" by nicodega.
It replaces TF3D completely as a 'Today' plugin.
Basically one just has to install the CAB.
(Note: it will not show up under All Programs, but as a Today plugin only)
> Go into Settings> Today>
> Remove check next TF3D
> Enable Check next to FEWidgets Ultimate
Two versions- Large widgets and Small Widgets for anyone who needs a whole bunch of widgets.
I did try it out on my TMO TP2 and both versions basically work when I tested each separately.
Though I haven't tried fine-tuning each widget for my TP2 yet.
Enjoy.
i kept my TP1 and gave the TP2 to Dad whose TmoWing crapped out. Had to disable TF3D for him today. The last straw was contacts/call history will not allow you to dial out, it's link to the phone dialer was broken or something. I don't know if this is a result of a tweak I did or if the Tmo's TF3D version has a bug. After disabling TF3D, you can press the contacts again to call out. For future reference, anyone know the cause/solution?
Like above guy said, now I need a replacement for tf3d. The last version of BatteryStatus that I used was 1.04build266 from this time last year, which has since been replaced by HomeScreenPlusPlus or something like that. Anyone know of a stable version for the TP2? Stable enough for Dad?
Today Plugins
I kept the default TF3D, but with HDWall, because I love the eye-candy of the interface and I find it very intuitive to use. I have also tried other today plugins, such as PointUI Home 2, FEWidgetsUltimate and iPhonetoday, but none of them felt as smooth and easy to use as TF3D for me. Out of the other interfaces I tried I find FEWidgetsUltimate to be the best.
LINK - iPhoneToday
LINK - FEWidgetsUltimate
LINK - HDWall
LINK - PointUI
EDIT: On my previous device I tried SPB Mobile Shell - LINK
I also got rid of TF3D. IMHO that is eye candy for people who don't know how to use a computer - and that is still a large number of people out there using phones. W/o TF3D I get things quicker done and have more flexibility to set up the phone the way I use it best.

Thanks for the link! HDWall and Mobileshell looks nice.
It is VERY usefull for me! I can't use without! I'm bored by WinMo interface.
I too found TF obtrusive and unintuitive so switched it off. I used to use SPB Mobile Shell on the Kaiser and liked it, but I'm a bit fed up of the way it doesn't integrate with Informant and Flexmail, so I'm back to the WM interface and don't miss all the bloat.

[KITCHENS+ROMS] [WWE] [10.27.2009] WM6.5 23081 - Sorry NOT FOR P3600i!

Alright, let’s get Started! This is the new WM6.5 23081. I added a new Startup Animation (by aestivalisakito) and Sound (by me), Modified the Start Menu, Added my Favorite Keyboard (On all but Super Ultra Lite), and ArcSoft MMS 5.2.2.37 (on all but SUL).
I will start with a Super Ultra Lite Version, and then see where that leads me. My plans, if I have time, would be a Super Ultra Lite, a Normal Chome/Titanium, an M2D, an M2Dv2, a MotoSurf, an SPBMS 3.5, and who knows what else. Each Different Version will be listed on Page 2 (Might Spill onto Page 3) with the Download Link for each. In each Download Link I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.
What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an AutoExecuting AutoFlashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.
"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"
My recommendation for Flashing is:
Make sure you have Hard SPL on your Phone. I recommend Olipro 1.20 - Click Here for More Info
Be sure your battery is at least 50% full.
Start your phone in Tri Color Screen mode. Steps below
--Unplug your phone from USB
--Hold down the Power & Camera Buttons
--While still holding them down, press the Reset Button using the Stylus
--Release the Reset Button, but continue to hold the Power/Camera buttons until you see the Tri Color Screen
--Plug in the USB cable (if asked about installing a driver, do this), You should see USB in the White Box)
Now you can Flash.
Run the AutoFlash file for the ROM you've selected, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.
Enjoy!
Suggestions:
For those who wish NOT to have a Startup Sound (it can be annoying) use my attached Kill Startup Sound.cab I'm sure this is going to be downloaded a LOT. If requested enough, I'll remove the sound completely.
If you set the IE8 Browser to 'Mobile' instead of 'Auto', it's actually usable. 'Auto' will try to display Full Websites. If you have the time, it looks Beautiful, and it displays basic Flash, but it does take a LONG, LONG, LONG time. (Menu, Tools, Options, Other)
Thank you to EVERYONE on XDA. Chefs, Programmers, Cookers, Users, Noobs, everyone! You've ALL helped me to be able to do these. I'm sure I'll learn a LOT more as the days go by.
I wanted to give a Big thanks to the.decoy and Tomme45i.
This is part of Tomme45i's Kitchen, and I'm using the.decoy's SYS/XIP. He's done an awesome job of making them lite and fast!
Keep an eye out for the'decoy's ROMs coming in the future. He's remaking the Kitchen from Scratch so that it can cook Trinity and P3600i all in one Kitchen. He's also completely reworking the folder structure and a LOT of other hidden surprises. I know you will all be impressed, the guy is super smart and talented. Like many others on here, he's got a personal life, so it may not be completed immediately, so please be patient.
Of course, there's also Chanvi/Oggi, Ervious, and Many others, I can't remember them all.

Wow, this one is Lite! No Really, I mean it! You may need to tape a roll of quarters to it to keep it from floating away..
I know this will not be for everyone, but there are those out there who prefer to start lite and add what they want from cabs. Well, this is the one. This thing runs FAST, but has NO extras. If you don't want it in there, it's NOT.

I really wanted to get a couple more menu items and icons fixed, but for some reason, I cannot figure out what's wrong. Also, I tried to get the FingerKeyboard configuration to happen after first boot, but could not make that happen either. Many of the Packages I created from Cabs myself or Modified the Original, so if there's a problem, let me know.

After Flashing, give it some time. It takes a LONG TIME to finish loading the first run. Immediately after flashing, I recommend running the FingerKeyboard Setup found in the 'Tools' Folder. Then use the 'nueSIPDefault' also found in the 'Tools' folder to set your desired Keyboard.

Hello
SuperSport, nice ROM tested since 1 hour and something is missing for me ... a real finger keyboard, can you share the one you cooked in 23064 Rom. I didn't find it on your mediafire web site.
Thanks a lot

I just noticed this. Will see what happened. I had it working, but somehow lost it.
Edit: Indeed, I accidentally removed a language folder for IE. It's back in, but will take me a bit to re-upload the files. I will notify in this post when they are back up, check back. All updated and IE8 Working!

The Keyboard you speak of is Cooked in. I will be adding it to the Normal Version coming shortly.
Here is a CAB version. Not sure if it works on this ROM, but it's worth a try.

I was using 1.56.70.11 for a Long time, but then decided to try others to see which one gives me best performance and battery life. Because I use my phone so differently from week to week, it's hard for me to judge, and I just stopped with 1.46.30.11 and have not changed it again.
I 'THINK' 1.56.70.11 gives a slight GPS perfermance boost, but at the cost of battery life. That's only an educated guess from using it for a year or so. I'd be curious what others think now that 1.56.70.11 has been here for a while...

Resco Photo Manager 7.00 released

After long period of testing the beta versions, we are now officially releasing the new Resco Photo Manager 7.00.
Resco Photo Manager is a favorite image viewing program with features far beyond standards of the classic built-in viewer. Users gain functions of complete image management in a modern looking and easy to handle application. Intuitive way of work, outrageous effects and many slideshow and edit features move other image viewing programs to the second line.
Since the last version, the application received lots of graphical and functional changes. The old fashioned appearance has been replaced by modern looking graphics and the overall concept has been modified to make work with the program even more intuitive and effective. Support for the most favorite social networks was added.
Main changes are:
WM 6.5 registration fixed
Touch friendly user interface
User interface is in new graphic
Add GPS position to any image and make a diary of your trip
Locate geo-tagged image on map (using Google Maps)
Different skins available
Letter & date navigation bar
Folder content preview
Rotation , navigation and zoom gestures
Double tap image to quickly view detail in original size
GUI animations
Support of G-sensor
Convert image to JPG, PNG and BMP
Text notes can be saved into EXIF
Upload to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Picasa supported
Upload image with comment and GPS location
You can download the installation file from the Download section on the Resco Photo Manager Homepage
Great app
yep !!! the best so far
mhhh the beta 6 was better, when i load a picture, i must waiting to see the next picture, its verry buggy on my 6.5
When selecting files and using the action to email. Is there a way to specify which email account that is used to send? Everytime I try to email a file it opens the email program and attaches the files but it defaults to an email account that I do not want to use and I cannot figure out how to change it.
Any suggestions?
I loved the beta because it was fast on my previous phone, but on the HD2 it doesn't use multitouch
Since the Pinch&Zoom messages are known, it would be lovely to enable this on Photo Manager. Multitouch rotation would be nice as well

Let me guess, a phone with the Widcomm Bluetooth stack.. Like the Touch Pro 2.
As for me, this program worked great last night, but I went to load it today to look up where a conference room was at work and it went SLOW AS BALLS. I eventually just killed it and launched 6.33. Sigh..
Very good app! Only issue I have: I can't change the home background. I receive the message that the home background was changed but actually nothing has happened. I still see the old one. I can change the background with the WM standard picture viewer so I doubt it's an issue with my system settings. I'm using HTC Touch Diamond 2 with a custom 6.5.3 ROM.
Its a new version 7.02 out, multitouch support!!!!allready purchased for my hd2!! The best app so far
