Yes you want to get tahoma.ttf and rename it #tahoma.ttf place in windows dir restart phone.
This works with all ROMs except NRG Rose "remades work" as he kept the new Java in there.
Edit: Here you go remembered i had the font on share http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mimu21tmnyt
If you use JBed Rose or later, fonts can be changed through registry setting.

I have tried all of the new WM6 rom's with "black" look and in most of them I get that the comm manager font is all messed up destroying the nice original look.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
please take a look at the attached file.

Make sure your fonts size is set to medium
Hi jmermel,
Thanks for the reply.
I've checked ad the font is already set to medium.
The problem must be somewhere else...
The same thing has happened to me many times with different roms. In fact it even changed back to normal with a soft reset on some of them.
Hi,
have you the cab file of this comm manager?
Thank's

Just to make it clear, this problem also happened with other comm managers like the one from HTC Kaiser (10 button) or the one with 8 button... so maybe this has to do with some font that is changed by some piece of software.
Just guessing...
No more ideas about this...?

I have notice this problem too on many ROMs, I think that the issue comes from your today theme or do you have Wheather Panel installed on your device ?
Each time I install this soft, it happens.
Funny- I use weatherpanel too!
me too...I will try to uninstall and see what happpens
No doubt...That's WeatherPanel causing this problem.
Would it be possible to get any workaround???
Go to the weatherpanel folder in the theme folder and remove/rename the 2 TTF files (font files) that are there.
After that softreset and commmanager should be normal again...
Hi.
After I upgraded my T-Mobile Dash from WM6.0 to Kavana's latest WM6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374890), I can't use "Getting Started icon (WelcomeCenter.exe)."
When I try to run it, it shows an error "PlatformNotSupportedException."
Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks.

I don't think you need it, best bet, install chome configurator and hide that panel. If you need to remove the icon from start menu, you should be able to go to \windows\start menu and delete the link.

Or use Resco Explorer and go on Windows\Start Menu\Welcome Center.ink\Action\properties\hidden.

thanks, i couldn't remember the reg entry for hiding it.
Thanks. I will just remove it and use CHome.
However, it is strange why "Kavana (someone's nickname, right?)" included "WelcomeCenter/Getting Started" in his/her Dash ROM update that will not work on Dash.
By the way, for CHome, there are many files. Two .cab files and three .zip files. I know what "CHomeConfig.cab" is, but what are "IconPack" and "Ricky ROM" for?

I hide loads
ChomeConfig does not work on my Dash. It shows the same error as WelcomeCenter.
I wonder why.
My guess is that the locale is not English, would it cause this problem?

Rickys rom is another 6.1 rom like kavana's. The iconpack is probably(I'm guessing since I don't know where you found it) the iconpack for chome configurator so you have more options to choose from for the custom icons. And I believe that welcome center works on dash, kavana might have just removed or moved some files that it is looking for.
Hi friends..
I am using the new HTC Rose Jbed as the java client, and am quite happy with the installed OperaMini, now upgraded to the 4.2 beta.
I dont know how to tweak the system fonts, so that we can display the font we want in the operamini. I have read lots of stuff about adding a # or an A or a Z in front of the fonts name, making it the first/last listed font in the /Windows/fonts directory. I tried some of it, still I couldnt get the desired results.
Could someone please explain the theory behind what we are doing here? How to rename the font file and whether it should be the first or last or anything else? I am baffled here, and my OM shows Georgia, would love to have a smoother font which resizes well.
Help please

I spent about a day and a half trying to work out how the new jbed seemed to work it's fonts out and gave up as it was just a mission that i knew i couldn't solve, Ricky and i even tryed reg edits etc to no avail, thats why in NRG Rose Rom v1.3 - Remade by Ricky and Stylez we have jbed Build ID: 20071119.3.1
Hope this @ least makes it a little easier on you as i think it's just a no go bruv...
Ohh didnt know all that
So stylez dear friend, are u implying that this problem is only with the Rose jbed? In that case I should downgrade. And then I guess if I rename tahoma to aaatahoma.ttf and put it in /windows directory, things should work fine again

You still need the use of a manila editor.
And he asked if there was a cab for it without using a manila editor
Nope, Manila Editor is the only way. Unless you use someone else background: in this case you could have a simplc cab
excuse me I don't understand.."Unless you use someone else background" what does it mean? ...if I set the same background of the home page it works?

It means that you don't have to use Manila Editor only if i give you the background i have done for me (so you don't use editor because I have used editor ). See your pm

You have to edit the CPR with the font that you like. Place new font in windows directory of phone and edit CPR with new font. There is a link to the thread on how to edit your CPR in sticky.

I don't think anyone has made a .cab for this yet, however there is a tutorial on how to change your phone's font. You can look here for it [TUT] Changing the system and menu fonts, and fonts can be found here http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=107

The CPR is located in windows directory of your phone. If you are using WM6.5 by Ookba then you have to edit the file name : Titanium_320x240.cpr. Find this file pn your phone, then copy it to PC, where you can use notepad to edit the file. Once done, you need to copy it back to phone.

No.. you don't edit your Titanium 320x240.cpr to "file name.cpr" You have to edit the content of the cpr. Please refer to the link on my previous post.

If you are no longer using the font you can rename the extention with Total Commander or Resco Explorer eg: font.ttf to font.bak then restart phone and delete it.
