Is There A Cab.for A Better Camera For The Dash 6.1wm Cuz Thats The Only Thing That Sucks On Dis Phone...thz N Advance
Well the program running the camera does not have anything to do with the actually camera. What I mean is that the dash camera is only a 1.3 mega pixel camera so you are not going to get better quality from running a different camera program... Also, I do not believe there is another camera program out there...
I want to be able to take a high resolution picture from within a .Net application. I don't want to use the Camera Dialog as that's an external dialog to my app. I have seen a software that has done something similar, so I know it is possible. Here is the link to the site
http://www.quickmark.com.tw.
I guess they use the proprietary camera api of the manufacturer. I currently use HTC Tilt as my testing device and it's difficult to get it from them.
Is there anyway round this? I have also tried DirectShow, however the resolution is poor. Is there an HACK out there?
I primarily code in C#, so if anyone can help, I'll be grateful.
HTC closing their devices from default windows use by interfaces.
By quering windows camera device we have only 160x120 res with 10 fps, but closed HTC camera drivers have full usage.
Fix is only hacking htc drivers
now i m using 6.5 R5a Rom, its have xperia r3a camera.
but i already installed HTC camera but its not starting if i click it.
i think its need change camera registry from r3a to HTC.
i m also using registry editor.
so, how can i change registry or change camera from R3a to HTc?
can anybody help me....please.
i m boring in my R3a camera cause its picture quality not sharp. most of them are blurry and low picture size. i think 3.2 camera picture is good when it takes more spaces. my xperia takes only 300 KB, for 3.2 MP its should be higher then 2 MB.
please anybody help me, how can i switch camera and picture sizes.
regards.....
Alot of X2 features have been ported to the X1. Is it possible to implement WVGA video recording from the X2 to the X1? They have the same processor and other similarities. Would this issue be a hardware only type thing, like would we need a 8mpx camera or can we port the X2 camera software from a rom dump to R3A Camera app for the X1. Also @ X2 users how is the WVGA playback on the X2.
They have the same hardware and wvga is 800x480,way under the camera resolution on x1 so theoretically it should be possible to port. I think the software issue is the real problem.

Ya I was thinking the same thing, besides some cosmetic changes and the 8mpx camera their pretty much the same phone. Hopefully this thread will catch the interest of some people that might now to how accomplish this task. So far most of the X2 features have been ported to the X1 maybe this to(fingers crossed).
Well,i've seen a x2 camera port around here so as you said, fingers crossed

I actually asked one of my friends that is very familiar with the X2 dump files and he said "x2 has different render and camera so it is a no go".
Well the x1 camera is made by htc and the x2 is made by sony i think, its the one found on w995 and c905. But, can you please ask your friend if part of the render is compatible with the x1 camera render? We only neew a small part of it to modify the resolution not anything else.

This is what he said: is impossible to use because
x1 one uses htc Dshow to reneder images (linked to video driver)
x2 one uses q*libraries linked again to video driver and kernel
unless you have full x2 nk.exe and drivers as source i dont think that is possible
i have tried and camera could not render image on screen than crashes even if i have added all deps and registry
also it can be drm dependent (drm is not completly ported / this is why slideview is not fully working)
you are free to try
Well thanks for the info.seems like we wont have x2 video recording resolutin on x1
While looking for a nice Google Cam port for this handset, the XDA Portal Google Cam Hub mentioned Arnova's port. I've also seen that there is a fix for our device so that the port works properly, and that it needs root or TWRP to be installed. Without root and with the stock recovery, I proceeded to install the GCam port and used it for a couple of days, comparing its pics with others from the stock camera app. I have a couple of questions:
I've noticed no difference in quality. Do I need to adjust something in the settings of the ported APK other than to prevent the camera from taking purple photos? Maybe I'm doing something wrong and the quality could be better, maybe on the OP5T there isn't a big difference in camera quality between stock and GCam, and I just don't know it.
Is the fix needed if I'm just going to use the ported APK to take still pictures with the rear camera? I've read that the fix just deals with recording video and with the front camera.
Thank you beforehand. Probably there are details that I failed to read when I was searching for the port, but with this GCam thing being so decentralized it's a mess.
The image quality es better, less postprocessing and HDR+ it's just fantastic and GCam always perfect White Balance
I found that some versions of Arnova has that purple thing, just try diferents versions and stick to the best one (it depends if your ROM has the libs like Omnirom Treskmod)
Just try diferent Arnova versions : https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
