If you're trying to watch youtube on windows media player you're out of luck. I suggest you get another player, you can use TCPMP , Kinoma Player, Core Player. USE THE SEARCH feature and you'll find it.
im using tcmp
You need to stop downloading you porn xD
lol i dont watch porn only hilarious stuff so i can get a good laugh

just get kinoma freeplayer i love it no problems
Here is Kinoma FreePlayer Full where you can view more then 10 videos...
Hey,
Im sorry if this is a really stupid question!
But ive got Core player and kinoma, and all i want to do is stream videos from youtube, but once i start streaming it always opens up the default Windows Media player on my mobile.
I always use browse internet explorer to do this then select the youtube link on the site..
If theres any way of changing the program that gets opened could you please tell me!
Im using the standard Kavana’s 6.1 ROM.
Cheers
Get skyfire and just play them as you would on you pc.
http://get.skyfire.com/
That still doesnt solve my problem, I need to change my Default Windows Media Player on my Mobile to open to another program instead to stream.

I believe you need to download the streaming media cab. I will post a link with the download when I get home! you can't watch videos directly on the site with the Excalibur, instead the phone streams the media with a media player such as the streaming media player, tcpmp, wmp etc.

Is your data connection working correctly, meaning can you browse the web without problem? I'm using the Youtube app without problem on my Excaliber and the 3VO 2.80 ROM. Note, you do NOT need the HTC Streaming Media player on the phone, and in fact that can cause more problems than it solves.
Check your data connection settings.

That is not true. The YouTube application does not need any other ap to view the site and videos. The streaming media cab is NOT needed for anything anymore and on the newer ROMS can cause more problems.

I totally agree with you, there's no need to run another app to view youtube videos, I haven't got any trouble so far running youtube in 3vo rom.
how did you get it working? i'm also using the youtube app but it doesn't play the videos correctly... it shows me the preview image but no video, sometimes it play the video but it kinda freezes even tho audio is still playing... it's a PITA that i can't get the youtube app to work correctly

Try this player:
Thank you so much for the responce,
I have tryed the divx player before, it worked horribly, most time video was choppy, and sound never worked. has anyone been able to get coreplayer to work, or is their another player?
I use Coreplayer 1.3.6 and works great for everything. What problem are you having with Coreplayer??
oh I was using version 1.2.1, and it wasn't working, now I tryed Coreplayer 1.3.6 and it works Only now i have a new huge problem, it doesn't support ac-3 audio codec, all my videos use ac-3.
Is their any way to fix this?
Divx
I tried Divx too and it had a font size of 1-2. Even when I guessed the right button to play something it would only play on a 1 inch square screen. It was like everything was miniaturized. I had to uninstall.
i just have new dopod t-mobile c720w i want watching you tube , i try many way but not working. i using coreplayer and streaming player but no use.... someone cant show how i watching youtube... plz help
Tick RTSP in associations of CorePlayer then try not forgetting CorePlayer has it's own YouTube feature built in.
Use this trick
You need the youtube application
go to m.youtube.com and download the application
just start it and watch your vids with the dash.....
yes, i using core player but not working, the player not loading so i cant watching utube, haizz, may be i need other app for watching u tube. if can download plz show me, i need that

I use the Energy rom and discovered TCPMP player but i can't get video's playing smoothly, so wondering if someone here can play video's well on their mobile..
Maybe i convert video's in the wrong format but they do play well on the mediaplayer.

We're still waiting for TCPMP to get hardware acceleration, while Windows Media Player has it, that's why your video works in WMP but stutters in TCPMP... As far as I know there isn't a version of TCPMP that supports hardware acceleration but I may be wrong...
you're not wrong
