Dear HTC-unlock team,
I just bought your HTC Diamond unlock software and have a question that would like to clarify with you. I have the HTC Diamond locked by Telefonica Movistar in Spain.
The question is about the first of the three steps of your software, Flashing a new ROM. The ROM version currently installed in my device is 1.93.621.1 and the software would flash version 1.40.OliNex. My question is would I be upgrading to an earlier version ? Should I do that, or should I skip this step ?

Hi all, I have dopod C720W (unlocked) no carrier. How to check whether my phone is CID locked or no? I really want to upgrade my phone to WM6, is there any available ROM for C720W? thx
Same as a Dash or a HTC Excalibur.

I installed Rogers certificate and started the Rogers WM6 ROM but the installation failed at 3% - my device is not supported but I have a Dopod C720W
Any idea?
The HTC website also provides a ROM which I can not download as my device is recognices as Dopod instead of HTC S620. I´m waiting for an answer of the HTC support team to get this fixed...
This upgrade seems to be really difficult

I'm new to the xda-developers forum.
I've carefully read all informations available on the wiki and in various threads of the forum, and I have to say that I'm a little confused with upgrading / downgrading stuff.
First of all, I have a SPV M3100 bought in France, Simlocked to Orange France (HERM100, IPL 1.01, SPL 1.11).
I would like to test the official HTC WM6 ROM, but I'm not sure on how I should process.
First, as far as I have understood, it is a good idea to install HardSPL v7, which allows me to flash the HTC Rom on my Orange France CID-locked device. Am I right ?
Second step, I have downloaded the HTC_TyTN_FRA_3.54.256.2_103_6275_1.47.00.10_108.exe file from the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320829
From here I'm not sure on how to proceed.
Knowing that I would like to be able to rollback to the official WM5 rom shipped by Orange France (which I have already downloaded from the wiki), what should I do:
- either flash the WM6 rom directly. I'm afraid of "overwriting" the hardspl v7 stuff in the device ?
- or extracting the content of the WM6 rom and doing all the stuff described in http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeGuide to remove the bootloader from the ROM ?
I have read some posts about custom RUU too... What does this means ? Am I concerned ?

hello guys I just bought HTC Touch Diamond and I've unlocked it via oilnex 1.40 but I can't upgrade any radio Rom or downgrade it
when I try I got message " Upgrade ROM Code error " it was made for france and sold by Vodafone I need to downgrade my radio So I can unlock sim by Diamunlock.exe that proseduer in 3 steps but I can't upgrade or dongrade the radio rom what's solution ?

Yes you need to install HardSPL to install a non-Swedish ROM as the phones are region locked and HardSPL region unlocks it (not sim unlock) this allows you to install cooked ROMs or official ROMs from HTC for another region.

Although you may like to browse the cooked ROMs once you've installed HardSPL as you can use the,m too after that.

Yes because if it sim unlocked it does not effect the region ROM locking that HTC or the carrier put i place which is why you need hardSPL to unlock the bootloader so it will allow you to install unofficial and official ROMs from other regions or carriers! So the answer is yes.
