Hello all, i'm new here, and this is one of my first post, i've seached a bit around the net about some programs that help to make music with my HTC but i'ven't found too much stuff, or really intresting stuffs, so invite everyone to fill this thread with composing, playing and attinent programs
i start from here:
PocketAxe Guitar http://pocketaxe.com/
... any batteries, xylophone, piano, or violin maybe ?
Didn't get it to work
hehe, that's really, really funny idea how do you imagine a program that teaches you to play the violin? sorry, but I'm a professional violinist and I can tell you that nothing could ever replace a teacher, not with violin. perhaps it works with guitar a little better, just learning the chords, but belive me, violin is REALLY hard at the beginning... I found a tuning program, if you're interested, called TuneIt and is quite helpful. and I can say, it works also really good^^ what I search is a good metronom program, any ideas? many greets, cad^^
Indeed, about the violin, i was joking
obviously i was thinkg about some stupid program to entertain friend when we are at pub, or something like that :-\
currently we havent a multitouch, or at least the same and fast response like an iPhone, so we can just play simple instrument, but if it made it good, can be fun ^^

ok, i dont have the patience to go back to all those topics to find out what the best software is out there to install on my blue angel.
I need to know good software that I can use. LIke utilities and games etc. I still have the original 2 games installed which are immensely boring now.
Any other software that would make my PDA the envy of everyone else?
Anyone tried to make this into a TV remote? Did that work?
Do tell.
Hello.
I really think you'd better go f** yourself rather than posting this kind of ungrateful and rude questions.
i dissagree with both previous replies here 1) USE SEARCH (if you can't be bothered to search for it, we can't be bothered to tell you)
and 2) thats not a very civil way (and a Bit OTT) to react.
you guys are hilarious.
Rude? heh
Ok, lets give this discussion another angle.
What software have you guys recently used that you really like?
Whats hot?
Go fishing in the Handango River. There's bound to be some software you like there.
You did, after all, say "blue angle"
many apologies hehe... i stand corrected. Wont attempt to be so rude again.
Let me go hunt some software and their cracks now. muahahaha
Hi all you uni users.
I'm after a few vga wmp skins (as the title may suggest).
I've searched extensively but come up a blank bar one skin thats pretty grim imho.
I'm after something that's kinda black or dark.
Anyone point me in the right direction?
google?
does google ring the bell?
try this
http://www.google.com.mx/search?hl=es&q=vga+wmp&btnG=Buscar+con+Google&meta=
Cheers for the intelligent response. Your ingenuity knows no bounds.
I know its purely personal but i've seen them and they are shoddy.
I guess what i'm after is a vga version of the touch or kaiser skin.
Anyone slightly more helpful around other than googleboy?

googleboy? well yes you can say that... i do use google a lot, but at least im not asking questions i can answer by SEARCHING instead of asking other people to do it for me starting a thread to look for something i dont even know myself (notice that you did not mention what type of skin you were looking for)
if you were more specific about what exactlly you are looking for maybe we can help. (we? wait i was the only one who replied to your stupid thread)
Dont take it personal i was just traying to help, in fact i still do
If you are after the TOUCH look try an application named MELODY (you get the Touch look and feel since you can go thru your list of song scrolling with your finger (and yes it is vga compatible) o know it is not WMP but it does play music.
kaiser look? never seen it.
take a look at this WMP skin if you like it i can "share it" with you
http://classic.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=19625&associateid=17
hopefully this one wont be too shoddy for ya.
best regards.
Erik "the googleboy"
i wasnt trying to be offensive but google seems to be the answer of choice recently.
i'd just assumed that people would realise i'd already googled the search terms in many different guises and then decided to ask for help. Aint that the rule of thumb around these parts?
i'm still relativelty green when it comes to vga stuff.
As far as the one reply goes i think its because noone has the answer.
The qvga skins ported from touch etc haven't been made vga.
Gonna see if i can learn how to do it myself.
*goes to google qvga convert vga*
Cheers for at least replying.
Paul
Honestly having a Good VGA WMP Skins thread isn't such a bad idea.
There simply aren't enough good ones.
Hiya everybody!
I would love if someone could give me directions on where I can get good ROMs for flashing my brand new Artemis...
I'm brazilian, but I'm looking for a ROM in english with the best functions that people could get together....
I'm totally new to modding in here, tho I'm sorta pro in modding Motorola's MotoMING phone (my last one)
So if anyone could help me with directions of a newbie guide, I'd be glad....
I could write a newbie guide myself later on....when I lose the newbie status LOL
Check here for tips http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=362
There are also quite a number or ROMs in there too.
Although I would definately recommend this one.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365312 .. great speed, very light so you can add all your own apps and customize it how you like. Generally speakingm, after flashing alot of ROMs to my Orbit, I tend to stick with Meschle's ROMs and usually stick to his latest Vanilla. Although as I say there are alot of others, depends what your looking for from the ROM.
Any other questions Id be glad to help. I also have quite a collection of prgrams n customiations n stuff if your looking anything.
Thanks a lot for the hand!
It surely will come handy! I got the USPL to go over the CID locking system....
The carrier problem can be solved by the carrier itself, at least nowadays.....
To tell the truth, I'm in need of some tutorials on the best programs to have, what kind of stuff fits well in it...
I work with game design, and I'm starting to develop on python....I was wondering if there is anyway to run python programs in it too...
Last but not least, how much knowledge is necessary to work with Artemis?!?!!? LOL
Hmm unfortunately I dont do programming n such, i think you probably be better off asking those questions in the artemis developement / hacking section
If you were to develop Pocket PC applications, you may use eVC (free) or VS2005/8 (more expensive)
No idea about pythons.
How much knowledge? Probably nothing or as much as it is needed to read english. All you need is to experience and experiment to learn.
Regards,
Carty..
@fubofo
Thanks for answering again, man! I know that not everyone is a fan of programming stuff....
I got the ROM you said you were using and I'm gonna flash it today...hope it works and I don't end with a 15 hundred bucks brick....
@Carty
When I said knowledge, I ment time spent studying stuff made for it and etc...but still the ability to read english is way too complex for some people in my country....
I'll take a look at the eVC and see what can be done in it....
I have Eclipse's SDK and Visual Studio 2008 here....any of them is good for it?
Hello. Just watched demo from http://www.intomobile.com/2009/01/26/crack-app-for-the-iphone-a-pranksters-delight.html
And thought that it is MUST TO GET!
Anyone with skill or time to make such funny and cool program for our beloved WinMo? Id be ready to donate some money for maker.
I can help with the graphics if someone knows other stuff. Im not high skilled but can do atleast some of those. Thought about pictures which are transparent and program randomly puts where touched.
lol thats a deff want!
Where have all "fun" developers left? there was so many when diamond came! Like beer program etc
We need you now!
indeed, I see soooo many for the Diamond and nothing really for the HD. Which is quite disapointing as there are so many Themes and Contact etc.
Which are really good and all but some fun applications like this would be awesome
Fun
Hope someone starts to develop funny applications soon...
Love it

Great little app - this would be fun!
I had to go to work after I installed launcherpro, so when I hit the home button I made sense my default. Now I can't find how to make launcherpro come back when I hit the home button. Help?
Go to settings, press on applications, and then manage applications.
Find HTC Sense, press on it, and then press the Clear Defaults button.
Now when you press the Home button, you'll get the list of launcher/home applications again.
Thank you (this might be the most helpful site of all time haha)
Anyway I can get sense widgets to run on it? I really liked the htc sense standard clock with weather/weather animation.
Or a good free substitute. I'm good with either.

do a little research and you will find plenty of replacements..
And, contribute something to the community instead of just asking for things..you'll be amazed at how much more helpful people will be if you don't just ASK for things all the time...

This if my first smartphone, I have a very limited knowledge of computers, and a friend recommended this site because he said it was a great place to learn how to get the full potential of my phone. I've looked through the past 6 pages and the only questions I've been able to answer have already been answered because they were basic "where's the link for" question. Explain to me how I'm supposed to contribute if I can't learn by asking...
well, you could start by learning to use GOOGLE to search for answers to these questions, and when you find something worthwhile, you can offer to share it here..
The best way to become proficient at ANYTHING is to research it and solve the problems yourself...you'll be amazed at how easy and gratifying that is, and, then, you will have something to share here with others..
"Sharing is caring" works BOTH ways..
Have you installed AppBrain on your phone? Have you gone to the website?
Have you searched for "replacement widgets" for EVO on Google?
The options go on and on, you just have to put a little mental effort into it, and you'll be amazed at what you'll find
Had YOU asked (instead of assuming) you would have known I did look and I didn't find any good replacements to the sense clock that were free (I'd like to know my options before I try something like beautiful widgets). Yes, I used google
and I've never heard of AppBrain.
And I hardly consider the THREE questions I've asked on this board to be detrimental to the community. I'm new to Android phones okay? I'm glad you're all big and bad because you know what you're doing. However, this was part of my "researching" that I should apparently be doing.
Oh, and only because your know it all attitude bothers me: the best way to learn something is to teach it.

In life there are givers and takers..which one are YOU?
Everything I learned about computers, cell phones, and everything electronic was done by hard work and research ON MY OWN..I bought a 386 computer many many years ago and sat up every night until 2 or 3am reading and practicing on it so I could learn and be able to advance my skill level..I've done the SAME thing with most other new technologies over the years, and, even though its tough at times, when you learn how to solve a problem on your own, you are on your way to true intelligence.
The problem with people like YOU is that the minute the going gets tough, you want someone else to do the hard work for you..
People on this board and every other board will always help someone out who tries to find answers on his own FIRST..
This is sad. Why are you so intent on making me feel like my life has been one giant virus, sapping others? That tells me you regret the fact that there's an easier way to do what you did, and you're jealous. And you shouldn't be, you will have a VASTLY greater knowledge of computers than I ever will because of the about of time you put into it. So...chill
While that's a beautiful story, that tells me one thing: you had/have WAAAY more free time than I did/do. I'm glad your morally opposed to someone asking for help, but the fact of the matter is you HAVE to ask for help when you have limited resources. Should poor african countries just "figure out" how to pay for TB medication when their economies are in ruins? Why can't they look to people with EXTRA resources for help GETTING THEM STATED? My limited resource ? Mine has been time. Balancing school, athletics, job for tuition, and squeezing out a social life robs me of free time. I don't have time to spend 5 hours a day researching about a phone. It'd be cool if I did...but I don't. So asking for help getting started is my plan. If you don't like that, then ignore me.
And again with the assumptions...child, if you knew HALF of what I've accomplished in my life you wouldn't say that "going gets tough" crap haha. My accomplishments have just been in a different field than yours

Fancy widget looks like the sense flip clock
http://i.imgur.com/fMjEg.png
I think it is free.
I saw that one! It was taken off the market though because htc was unhappy with how similar it was to their applications. Which sticks, because from reviews it seems to have been very good. Anyone have a .apk by any chance?
Edit: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OQS1ELEU
I have attached the .apk file of the Fancy Widget. I hope that will help.

I am sorry I have to chime in here and stick up for the OP. You are just an ass. His questions were valid and didn't deserve your flamage. He admitted to not knowing everything thing and was asking for a little assistance. Its asses like you that mess up the experience for other users. If your so intelligent than what the hell are you doing on this board. I would rather have someone on here that is kind and helps when he can instead of some ass that thinks he is sooo smart that he has to put others down. Grow up and find something else to do and leave people alone. You are not needed here. You are completely useless.
