Hi all, I usually have my s621 set to vibrate and ring, just rescently ive noticed it isn't vibrating. I change the profile to vibrate only, and when I get a call or text, the screen lights up, but it still doesn't vibrate. I've only had it for like a month and a half. Any ideas, or ways to test it? Has anyone else had this happen with an htc dash, or any htc device really???
well i did a soft reset and the vibrate function seems to be working now. My s621 will live to see another day

Funny what a soft-reset can do, the IT crowd say it all the time "Turn it off & back on again"

It's true what you say, whenever my phone acts up, I'll soft reset or I just turn it off for a couple of minutes and its back to running great.

My WM6 Dash started doing a single beep at the stroke of midnight, every night. It also started making the same beep at bootup. Not a big deal, but would prefer it didn't do that (it didn't before). Not exactly sure when it started, about a month or so ago. Anyone else run into this, or figure out how to shut it off?
By chance do you have WIFI on?
...no... and -- it doesn't remain on during a bootup, so wouldn't be related to that beep on startup...

Maybe your phone thinks it's a grandfather clock.

LOL, I don't have an answer to the original question but that just made me laugh out loud
Beeping
I do hear a beep, i think when the wifi shuts off. cannot figure out how to turn it off.
It annoys the living crap out of me.
basicly everytime i use the phone or hit a button and the wifi radio is turned on. after screen shuts off it beeps about 10 seconds later.
anyone else ?
wm6 of course.
Completely different, and unrelated to the topic...

hi guys,
has anyone experienced a problem where their Trinity will not "wake up" with the short press of the on/off button?
I'm sure I read about this some time ago and am trying to work out if it's hardware or OS related.
I'm running mUn's TE WM6 which I have been for many months now.
The problem has only started in the last 2 weeks or so.
I haven't installed anything new, but have enabled Push Mail for OTA mail.
It's doing it 1 or 2 times a day now and is very frustrating. The only way to wake the phone is soft reset.
When calling the phone from a landline, it does not ring and goes to voicemail.
Any advice or solutions gratefully received.
no one seen this then I guess.
Bummer (for me!)
Try hard reset

thanks John.
But do you have any fact based reason for this suggestion?
I'm happy to give it a go if there's more than 50% chance it will work.

You might have loaded a program that is not liked. Use a backup program. If this does not work then load your backup after the hard reset and you will be back to where you started
P3600 with D810 WM6 ROM; also happens occasionally, recovered with soft reset. Seems to happen most often when I press the On/Off button twice too quickly.
thanks guys.
I'm going to try the hard reset route-I'll report back.
Some time ago this happened to me so often, but said it was due to some application, in my case was Slide2Unlock.
Since I removed by their consumption of memory it didn't happened to me.
(Sorry for my english)
Bugger, this has started to happen to me as well. Only 3 times in the last 3 days but if it keeps is up that will be enough for me to do a hard reset (overdue). Strange cause the only new thing I put on in the last week has been PCM 16 which is only a copy/paste exercise.
The fix in the Hermes forum is to force your device to sleep and not let it go into standby.
I have had some problems recently with DeviceLock 1.2 just ceasing to work and have to uninstall/reinstall to make it work again. I set it to turn the screen off when locked, as this does not put the device on standby, maybe there is the same issue with it going into standby by itself.
I have the same problem..i think that it has to do with the phone hanging..most probably due to some background programs eating too much power and memory and the phone just lacks till it hangs..happens when you have other programs that have hanged as well..my problem is with PocketAlarm..it takes so long to load my phone went to standby and the phone couldnt be called back..in brief the phone just hangs because of a program..i don think it has any problem do to with the hardware or strictly the OS..cant really explain..but the role the OS play in this problem is that it allows the program to make full use of the phone till the phone cant cope with it..its the core of the OS so it cant be avoided with any other versions or anything..sorry it seems rather unclear..hope you guys understand..
same problem for me ... from times to times, when a call hang up, i push a lot of times the red button for going back to the today screen and as it shows up, i click immediately on the Power button for turning off the screen. right after when i forgot to do something (approx 1sec) i push the power button and there it doesn't turn on the screen ... strange ...
what i've installed on it :
TomTom 6
BatteryStatus with today plugin ver 1.04.203 beta4 i put tray icons too.
i've bluezard for sniffing and/or hacking bluetooth devices.
OBDgauge too it's a software that works with a bluetooth dongle i plug into the diag port of my car.
and that's all. ah yes one more thing -> i disable the "HTC Home" because i don't like it.
Same problem here...
Still no solution?
I got this problem from some version of rom by Karmba. But V7.2 is OK so far. It seems happened when I close Egress reader by click X button then turn off screen by power switch. It then would not wakeup again. But if I close Egress and check the running programs from Task Manager to make sure the Egress is not running at the background, then I can turn on or off the screen freely.
So I think this wakeup problem is caused by some running program that was not closed properly by X button then crash the WM.
That was just my personal finding. Hope it help you guys a bit.

Stop digging in the graveyard check post dates......
The way to rectify this issue and many others have been discussed a million times.
Hey everyone,
I am having an issue with my TP2.
Occasionally after calls the phone will turn itself off and a message pops up on the screen saying "a wireless radio must be attached to use the phone."
Then about 30 seconds or so (sometimes longer) it will pop back on and be ok.
The happens roughly 3/5 calls i take.
it is annoying, any ideas how to sort it out?
omggg i thought i was the only one...
and sometimes i cant get back to get any
service i have to soft-reset the phone..
is ANNOYING.
yea i have had to soft reset a couple times!
I have installed SPB mobile shell 3 and S2u2 unlocker thing.
Also Garmin Mobile XT.
Dont think any of these should cause any issues, but might help.
i bet the problem comes in S2u2
bcuz i didnt have this problem, it started
after installing S2u2.
interesting.
II have just uninstalled S2u2 and soft reset. i will see what happens.
any news ?
Yea sorry,
have been busy.
'
Well since uninstalling S2U2 i have stopped getting this issue, so thats good.
Guess it must be caused by it.
however it is frustrating without the lock program, and the other few lock apps i have tried are **** in comparison.
So i dunno if i will just install it again and put up with it or what.
it is pretty frustrating man.
Definately send your devices back from wence they came if a hard reset doesn't fix the issue

It is the S2U2 that was making it happen.
after i uninstalled it, then it didnt happen anymore.
Just to be clear, its not the device turning off, just the phone component.
my TP2 has stopped turning the screen off automatically. i don't know what triggered the change but the screen doesn't turn of automatically anymore after I use the phone, or if it gets activated in anyway (receiving an SMS, a phone call, ...). i check the settings/system/power and 'Turn off backlight if device is not used for' is selected with the time set to 30 seconds. however thebacklight never turns off. any ideas how to fix this? thanks much!

this happened to me a while ago as well, sadly the only way i was able to fix it was by doing a hard reset. but maybe someone else will know a better way to fix it.

thanks. a hard reset would be a last resort! i have many tweaks and too many apps to give up on easily. any other solutions out there?
I have the same problem but mine also turns on itself! When I turn it off with key it takes appr. 10 seconds and then it turns itself on. This does not happen all the time but when it has started I do not know how to stop it but it stops itself after a while. Soft reset does not help.
Have tried hard reset and then it use to wor a few days then it comes back. Very frustrating as it drains the battery fast.
