Background disappeared once installed Gant icon set - Touch HD Themes and Apps

hi there.
i'm skinning my HD.
i've found that awesome Gant icon set which installed in a second.
after rebooting though, i've discovered that all tabs background where disappeared.
please note that i've just modified the MAIN background image via the standard manila softweare setting without messing with manila editor (i still have to do )
do you think is there a way to solve this problem?
should i simply modify the 5acxx_manila file in order to have backgrounds back?
what do you suggest me?

do you know if there are other issues with camera too?

New Battery Icon and clean 3G for Majik and others

I ripped this from orange rom, it puts a better battery icon in the title as pictured, it also has the clean 3G icon included.
As i ran this on Majik I did not need the reg change to remove the clock on the task bar, but you will need to do this if you have the clock and not the battery icon as per Majik.
HKLM/software/microsoft/shell
Change: ShowTitleBarClock dword=0
copy phcanOverbmp.dll to your windows folder with something like resco explorer.
Then run the Orange_bat.cab and soft reset.
I have not had any other side affects fith using this on black Majik or LVSW roms

The cab file messes up the dialer - you will have to do some registry editing to fix it...
or just install the cab below which fixes it

I got white screen when make a call after installed. ?????
Fix
Not noticed any white screen but i am using the video dialer, thanks for the fix rabdo but that fixed only the first screen and not the seccond in call screen.
To fix the prob install the attached - soft reset ( touch dialer cab ), then re copy the .dll over to windows folder and soft reset.
Do this and the dialer will be fixed and you will have the new battery and clean 3G.
I will look into making a cab of the the first post and exclude the dialer problem alltogether.

i posted this up for fix ages ago, pls read this link: if you can do it with these files it will work!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314005&highlight=file+combination
PLEASE READ THIS, I know what the problem is but i havent get the right skills to fix it, if you can, use the files on the link i have given and this will work!!
yep also tried the fix you where looking at, I edited the dll to contain both icon sets but when installed it just would not work ( even used the orange dll and as soon as i edit an icon then reinstall the dll it wouldnt use the new icons, maybe the dll editor is no good ).
I pulled the one of orange rom which has both icon sets already, then the problem is that it would use the dll for the 3g but not for battery without running the cab from the extended rom. this is where i have now run into the dialer problem, tempery fix is above but will attempt to fix it properly

Changing Pin code screen background

Hey!
So I installed the new official version of WM6 for TYTN and installed another theme. I have managed to change the background of the ordinary phonedialer by entering registry, but I still haven't found out how to change the PIN CODE screen which appears automatically when the ppc is turned on. It is still green. Anyone knows how to disable (with reg.edit) or remove/replace this background?
I have managed to change everything except this pin-code color.
Thanks a lot anyway!
Doing this via the registry is one option!
But it's dangerous.
You can change the theme in settings-today
This is the best option I think. Them's you can find all over this forum.
Thanks for the reply.
I know how to use the today settings.
The problem is that the background for the pin-code screen which appears when the phone is turned on doesn't change. It stays green. I managed to disable the green background on the dialer and the comm manager, but not the pin code screen background.
If registry editing is the only option, can someone tell me what to change to disable / change?
Hi. Can you share, how did you disable background in dialer and comm manager.
Thx.
of course... sorry.
Dialer background:
use a reg-editor like phm regedit.
og to HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE/Security/Phone/Skin. Under Enabled change from vale 1 to value 0. turn off the TYTN and on again and the dialer background should be gone.
Comm:
I just installed a new Comm manager that i found here at the forum. installed it an the commanager changed to black and had more options.
I think it is possible to overwrite the corresponding images under the windows directory on your TYTN with your own background images, but I haven't tried it yet. Look in the windows folder for the image that you usually see in the background in com manager and overwrite it with your own image with the same nam and dimensions.
But take a backup first in casesomething goes wrong. as i said. haven't tried it myself
changing these images will work fine but its tedious. Same works for the dialer images if you want to change the background of it.

HTC Comm Manager

Hi there
Running Meschles Vanilla 2.0 (EXCELLENT)- just wondering if anyone out there knows of a way to change the colours in the HTC Comm Manager? Not just the black background, but also the blue and the red colours. Would like to change it more to fit into the rest of my theme.
Incidentally- if I LOVE the colours in the original Microsoft Guava theme- how could I fine out the "colour codes" (for want of a better term) to then apply to a re-coloured comm manager.
Would like to make it eg black on (guava) red!
Thanks all......
Any ideas anyone......?
Please!!...

afaik does it only change htc-home-related things...to change comm-manager icons you'll have to edit every single file.
correct me if i'm wrong with that, but i can't imagine another way to do this.
maybe you can download a comm-manager-cab (this one ? - it's the ten-button comm-manager from kaiser), extract all files and then you can try do change the pictures...
btw: there are about 90 pictures included.....happy editing

Yea, I've downloaded a 10 button Comm manager (can't remember which one), but it was screwing up my system. Slowed everything down. It would take almost 20 seconds to open the the Windows folder. The only way I could get rid of it was to hard reset. So please backup your device some kind of way before you download it just incase. Even after uninstalling it, my device was still slow.
The same problem with other app

Seems to be impossible what you would like to do. Since CommManager is 'burnt' onto the ROM, you can
a, overwrite it with your new coloured files - causing slowdown, or
b, leave it as is.
There is no third possibility.
And yes, after uninstalling or manually deleting the files with which you overwrote the original ones, the system still remains slow! (don't know why).
I'm struggling with a similar problem for a while. My ROM doesn't have HTC AudioManager built-in, so I installed it separately into Storage Card, to avoid slowndown. Then I installed Music plug-in for starting AudioManager directly from Today screen. And, althought the plug-in is selectable (WMP/AudioMan.), I can't use it for AudioManager because it can't find the prog.
The only solution would be a new or hacked plug-in version, capable of locating AudioManager, even if it's not in Wondows folder. If anybody knows such a version, please, warn me!
cheers
Never mind...Nice thought.
Thanks anyway guys

The Guava theme is my favorite as well. It looks really good the the grey icons instead of the colored ones. The B&B Comm Mgr would be perfect for this ROM but the only way to get it is to cook your own ROM. I just avoid going to the Comm Manager so I don't have to look at it much. You can change the icons and tabs on the home screen with the HTC Home Customizer software.

Can't Get the CHome Icons Selector Program to Work

I've just upgraded to Ricky's v22 ROM here recently. Since, then I have noticed a few bugs. The main one I'm having a problem with is that CHome icon selector. It gives the 3 options of how you would like your icons displayed. Mine seems to allow you to select the option you want, but when the phone restarts itself, the phone does not reflect any of the changes made. I have tried it like a dozen times. I don't want to have to reflash my phone to fix this. Any suggestions would be nice.
One fix would be to do all the manual work yourself... editing the registry with the paths to the icons you want

[Q] Wallpaper issue on Tilt2

Hello all!
I'm currently running the stock WM6.5 rom w/ TouchFlo3d and Manilla Today Page v0.3.7.0 running IphoneToday v1.5.4. The problem I'm experiencing is that I can no longer change the wallpaper for my main screen by going to start>settings>today>and checking off 'use this picture as the background'. No matter what I change it to it changes the background for my settings page not the main page. In order to change the wallpaper for the main page I have to edit the following registry key: hkey_current_user\software\htc\manilla\cachedbackgroundpath and changing the filename for the background image. Does anyone have an idea what registry key may have been changed to not allow changing the background via the Today settings? Any help is greatly appreciated...
