According Microsoft you cannot upgrade since devices that work on 2003 are not compatible with 5, see:

I have recently bought a copy of the mobile 5 sortware and installed it on my SPV M2000 but its not working properly the camera doesnt work and it keeps crashing can someone help out and either tell me where I can get the old OS from or how I can fix this one.

the windows mobile 2005 that ppl can use for their himalaya devices is not the final version its a beta os which got leaked
and 2th it's free for everybody you just payed somebody for air
go here for a later version which will most likely include the cam software

Can anyone tell me will I be able to upgrade my TP2 to windows mobile 6.5 when it comes out? How do you go about doing this (new to winmob)? Is it just like installing a new OS on a PC?

OK ok so I finally found something. The answer seems to be yes with the TP2, a free upgrade from HTC to 6.5.
