If you are using TomTom v7, you must configure your GPS as 'Other NMEA GPS receiver', '57600 baud', and 'GPS in COM 9'. It is different from TomTom v6.
I hope that was it, but if not, be sure to let us know so we can help you get it working.

SPV M700 GPS failure

Can anyone help, have unlocked my phone, from this site, have flashed ROM version 1.23.404.2 Radio 1.50.08.11 and have no problem with most of the applications except for GPS. tomtom 6 installed set up on com 9 baud rate 9600, config on tomtom states "waiting for valid signal" i have used beeline GPS but it says cannot connect to GPS. I have read a lot of info on this site, tried to use information but no life as yet. If there is a program to congigure GPS or step by step guide ( new to this game ) then please advise.
I wait in hope to bring my M700 back to life.

I have a m700 and tomtom just auto detects the internal gps.
when I go to the gps config it says internal gps. there's no baud rate or port to configure.
I'm guessing you have the wrong radio rom or are bypassing some tomtom auto-config.
Try reinstaling the latest radio and tomtom
thank you for your reply, have tried several radio roms and still no go
try original htc rom...

Need help : GPS doesn't work

Hi all !
I think this forum is the more appropriated to explain my problem.
I've a Orange M650 and GPS work great until last week. Now, the GPS navigation software doesn't catch any satellite ; but the orange led is blinding.
I tried to flash the phone with the touch rom and I've the same problem.
My parameters are :
GPS program port : COM4
GPS hardware port : (None)
Baud rate : 4800
Manage GPS automatically
This parameters worked great under tomtom but today it won't synchronize at all.
Thank you for your help !
There is a problem with the GPS on M650 after flashing another rom. Search the forums for "M650 GPS". There is a patch somewhere. It worked for me, but i still think it's not 100% ok. Better than nothing.
Hi.
Thank for your answer, but I tried several patches (kulbutor, .cab included into Aje's rom, ...), and the result is worst : led doesn't blind anymore
Try flashing the original rom back, if u can find it. If u register on htc.com e-club you can download a rom with windows mobile 6. Unfortunately my artemis seems to have been bought in Italy, so i got a rom in italian. If all else fails, try an authorized service.
I have attached the cabs I installed over one of meschle's touch 4.01 roms. Use both of them.
I've installed SdkCerts and configured the GPS manually in Tomtom and now it works !
Thank you !!!

Go to settings then show gps stat, than configuration and last select the integrated gps. It will work.
If not you can allways select the port 4 and baudrate 4800.

Hi, i think you must set gps windows settings first: i set COM4 on "GPS data PORT" and NONE on "hardware GPS port" (with 4800 Bauds)
Than flag the option about the automatic GPS configuration
After, you should try different gps configuration by TOMTOM menu (my current setting is "integrated GPS", and it works"),
but other configuration (like "external GPS") could works.
What is your Artemis?
P3300 or SPV M650?
If it is SPV M650, use the patch called "Kulbutor"
I got a spv M650 myself and never had to do anything

If you've got a SPV M650 and want to keep the A-GPS function with another cook Rom than Aje's Rom, you must do it, no choice
It is available for B&B Rom, Artemis Touch Rom....

Hi
same thing for me
cant found gps after flashing orange rom to p3300 original rom with tomtom
com4 window manage gps
how i can resolve problem
br
toze
similar problem
Same problem with me...
I have the rom no_nonsense_5 that was supposed to have the gps problem fixed...
I can find the gps device on the com port number 3 with a nice utility i found on the web thath can scan the ports to find out all the devices connected.
But even if i set the hw port on 3 and the automatic gps control i can't see the gps working.
When I start my tomtom navigator 6 i set it up to find the anema (wtf is that?) gps device on port 3 with 4800 I can see the satellite connection working, but really slowly and uncontinously... (also with another utility called gps test).
I cannot understand if the problem is:
-the rom
-tomtom
-hardware
-radio-rom (can anyone explain me what is the "radio-rom"?? I tryed to find out information but I really couldn't find anything... noob...).
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance..
Flash with this ROM and you will have GPS again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410912
...then...if you want...you can try again to flash with your ROM...I've had same problem and now it's solved...

The radio-rom is a special rom for the hardware of your cellphone, something like a firmware to keep it simple. You can flash a different radio rom that might change the battery drain, the signal quality of the phone, wifi, bluetooth, GPS,... without having to reinstall your 'normal' rom.
There is nothing like a 'best' radio rom. Alot of people have different experiences with the same rom. You just need to go and try for yourself.
