ive had my bluetooth work with my dash for some time now...but recently whenever i receive an incoming call it goes to the fone instead of my bluetooth...did i do something wrong?...help plzz
make sure your bluetooth is set as your hands-free in communications panel, if you are running the stock t-mobile ROM it tends to 'forget' that your bluetooth is your default hands-free device LOL
One of many reasons to upgrade that device to 6.1
well it is set to hands free...and if i think i have rickys v24 vanilla rom on the phone..idk if that makes a difference. Anything else i can check or change?
can anyone help?

All,
I just upgraded to a new phone and WM6 and have the issue that when people try to call me, the mobile is aperently not on and they get my voice mail. This while my phone is on.
I even tested it myself with the phone lying next to me, and on, and I got the voice mail. strange thing is I can call out perfectly, so it apperently doesn't have anything to do with the strength of the connection.
Also I tested my sim in a different phone (samsung, no windows mobile) and there I can reach it perfectly. chenged back to the p3300, and agian voice mail.....
Anybody have this as well? and know how to solve it or at least what to trouble shoot?
Patrick
I am running the leatest Artemis Touch 2.1 WM6 WWE ROM, full version of meschele.
It sounds like all your call are setted to forward to voicemail.
You better try to go to the phone settings/options goto tab "Services" and there "Get Settings" of the "Call forward" option and take a look.

Well, actually, it doesn't happen always. I do sometimes get a call on the mobile. I did check and call forwarding is not set standard to the voicemail, only when the phone can not be reached or when it is off.
Anything else?

I have just recently updated my phone to Artemis Vanilla 4.01 WM6
It's a great rom but I was unable to get Vito Audeonotes to Automatically record all my phone calls :-(
I used it on the factory rom WM5 which came with the phone.
I used VitoAudeonotes v1.2 and it worked fine, great app if you want to record all outgoing and incomming calls. especially if you are talkin to someone thats lying their ass off!
Does anyone know a good app that will do this on WM6 hopefully Vanilla 4.01 or Touch 4.02
Or if not can you help me to get this app to work again.
Thanks

Resco Audio Recorder will play mp3 and record voice and phone calls.
Thanks I'll check it out
I test 3 diferent soft ...
VitoAudeonotes v1.2, Resco Audio Recorder and Audio Notes Touch and all work, but record only me
Mainly I would love to hear if there are Roms out there optimized for SIP. I am open to third party solutions such as Fring or Nimbuzz or anything else to get reliable VoIP SIP over 3G and Wifi.
[Edit:]
executive summary
Device: Vodafone VPA Compact III (warrenty swap model)
Radio ROM: 1.56.70.11
ROMs: different stable 6.1 Roms
(MRH 9.0 Valerian, CRCs v13.4 , joshkoss Manila2D 21501 and kareem9nbas RevROMv7)
Software: CRCs VoIP support via Device Update
Problem: When calling from landline to SIP on Hermes (powersave status) the Hermes locks up. Hermes receives call and shows, but doesn't ring, LCD backlight stays off. Landline signals that phone is ringing. Need Softreset to get Hermes back to working.

Hello,
first of all I want to thank all the awsome cooks here. I am new and this is my first post. I went into flashing a couple month ago. I have to say it is really astonishing to have a community so alive and well around such an old device as the Hermes. And how much work hours go into it by all the individual cooks. Pretty impressive IMHO.
I wanted to make VoIP work for me and decided to try my own little Hermes, since I already got one and have already flashed a custom Rom onto it. This is where my troubles began. I don't want to bother you with the whole story. The results:
I tested some 6.1 Roms with the build-in Voip using DeviceUpdate by CRC to install the Voip section and either one of those two to configure Voip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303493)
http://www.touchxperience.com/en/setup-voip/downloads.html
I went through MRH 9.0 Valerian, CRCs stable Rom, joshkoss Manila2D and kareem9nbas RevROM. Each the latest Version. Only in the MRH I had to install DeviceUpdate myself, since it is included in all the other ROMs. Then I only installed VoIP-Support (under System in DeviceUpdate) and started testing. The biggest problem I currently have is that all of the tested Roms actually crashed when a VoIP-call came in while the device was in power save mode. Since I only tested one way to get the drivers (CRCs DeviceUpdate) the problem might just be the VoIP drivers, but a phone shouldn't crash because it gets a call IMHO.
CRCs stable sometimes works when called out of powersave mode. But I have also seen it crashing.
By crashing I mean that the device turns on, but not the backlight. The call is visible, but the Hermes stops responding to all entries and only a reset brings it back to live.
Right now I am back to using Fring, because there are a couple problems with VoIP in general:
It needs to stay connected over 3G (or Wifi) while in powersave/soft off, It needs to connect reliably to SIP and it needs to be able to use the in-built earpiece (while Fring can't use this I am currently using my BT-headset and will try the audio routing soon).
But Fring has a huge delay.
Is any of the cooks using the built-in VoIP of the Hermes themselves? Because it would solve a lot of my problems if I could just use that.
Next I this I will try going back to the original Schap's 4.31 and see if I can make that work better with VoIP.
I know this is only a Rom forum, but has anyone tested other apps, like Octro, Gizmo5, Talkonaut, AGEphone, MiniSIP or similar progs for SIP recently? I tried Nimbuzz: It can't connect over 3G by itself, it needs some other app to open and keep the data connection.
I know about audioRoute and audio switch, but haven't tried them yet:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502361
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=495166
Anyone know which works better?
[Edit:]
I did some testing with Fring. It is not reliable on CRCs Rom, because incoming calls from a landline phone (Sipgate.de) often times lead to a busy signal on landline. Fring doesn't react, even though the applet on the home screen says that Fring is online (Hermes on, not standby).

I'm working with a Tilt2 running the stock euro HTC 6.5 rom
and I have an odd delay. once a call comes in and I either use
the "slide to answer" feature or if i just press the call answer button
there is a long...sometimes 10 second delay between my action and
the call actually connecting.
During this time i often miss calls and ive asked those who are calling me
what they hear and they say my phone goes silent for 10 seconds before i
answer. any ideas?
Someone else found this link, not me -- and I haven't tried it, but I have experienced similar (3 secs though and not often).
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=458469&postcount=1
After doing this it does seem to pick up the calls a lot faster but now I'm getting a slew of various data connection errors. SOTI wont connect, my weather tab will not connect.
Thanks for the assist I'm going to try and find a happy balance between the two reg settings
Update: I was wrong initially about the reg edit fixing things. I had my wife call immediately after the edit and it seemed to fix it when I noticed the connection issues through various programs.
Well during work today I answered about 7 calls. The delay affected all of the and on all but 1 the call actually disconnected before it allowed me to speak. so i will be reversing the red edit to combat the connection issues.
So clarify a few questions I Got regarding this:
When the phone rings and I press the answer button or "slide to answer" the ringing does stop and the icon in the task bar shows a call connected. but for me and my caller we hear dead silence for 10 seconds until they either hang up or the call connections. Any ideas friends?
I'm having the same issue on my US AT&T Tilt 2. It is driving me crazy, the regedit did not fix anything for me either. Did you figure you this out at all?
Are you guys running stock or a custom ROM? I have had this issue in seven ROMS. In my case, it seems that my phone has to have the ATT Dialer to avoid this. Tried Energy Photon and Leo,Josh Koss, TPS, and Shadowline. All had this problem. I'm now on Fusion 6.0 with the ATT Dialer. Not one issue. Day before I flashed this one, I missed 19 calls at work because I couldn't get the slider to register. Tried TPC's latest last night(he uses the HTC Dialer), missed calls. Flashed ATT Stock no problem. Fusion is the only other ROM I found with an ATT Dialer.
It seems there is a conflict in the device when connecting.
Some things to try:
- remove the custom dialer (just use the WM6 dialer, but this will loose video calls)
- check if there is some call-recording software that kicks in
- does this happen when the device is off or also when it was already on?
I'm Using HTC's stock rom instead of the ATT rom. since I'm America I really would not be apposed to loosing video call from the dialer since Its not supported on my network but I'm really not sure how to change the dialer back to AT&Ts ...is this something that would have to be cooked into the rom because I cant stand AT&T's rom.
Flash a ROM that uses the AT&T dialer: problem solved.
Your options are: Stock AT&T, At0mAng, Arrupenthal, Twopumpchump roms.
So how do we go about getting a cab file of the AT&T dialer, video share and PTT packages that each individual user can apply as needed? Is this even possible and would it require uninstalling whatever dialer the chefs cooked in? I think it would be impractical to ask the chefs to make two versions of their ROMs (one for at&t tilt2 users and one for everyone else) as I have attempted to cook my own ROM and know how difficult it can be.
Thanks,
Stephen
hi
sorry. bad post
Hello together,
I recently was fiddling around with various ROMs for my Galaxy Tab 3 (GT-P5200), the 3G version. The stock ROM that came with that device is quite unbearable for me.
While looking for a good firmware to go on I got stuck with the following custom ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-10/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3342017
When I got a stable base I'm planning to test the newer version of that rom, LineageOS 14.1. But at the moment I want to get the device finally running smooth. I bought the Tab broken for a few bucks and repaired it.
One of the drawbacks which I have at the moment with the CM 13.0 ROM is that it doesn't default to the speakerphone (hope I name it correct) for incoming and outgoing calls. Neither for the telephone app nor for whatsapp calls. For instance, I have to activate the speaker manually when I'm calling someone in order to hear what he or she is talking. With speakerphone I mean "hands free". I hope you understand what I mean as I'm not a native speaker.
How can I make the ROM defaulting to the speakerphone. It would be nice if I could achive this without any additional apps.
I have rooted the ROM and have access to the system partition of the tablet. I guess I have to edit some configuration file. But I'm having no clue which one it could be.
Does somebody know where that file might possibly be and what I have to edit in?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards
willy
