well i've bought a htc s620 on ebay and it has windows mobile 6 standard beta on it. CE OS 5.2.1215. i've tried installing wm 6.1 by kavana on it but at 3% it just exits and said image is corrupt but that very same image worked on a BT s620. i've tried application unlock on the s620 and it says "phone is not unlockable". what can i do to remove the beta version and install 6.1? btw i've to set a wrong date to be able to use the beta version else it will lock the phone and i won't be able to use it
please read the noob guide, use the search and your answer will be found, this has been covered so many times....
i've read everything tried everything but that **** refuses to update. i've tried a lot of roms but everytime i get " image corrupted" whilst the same roms work on another s620. i've tried to application unlock it but i get "phone is not unlockable". help please
Go to NRG Rose ROM 1.7 Remade in sig and check out the how to flash.

Hi,
When i first got my BA, i upgraded from WM2003 to WM6.
This worked ok for everything (A few glitches here and there but i could live with them), but then, my phone battery had ran out, i charged it and loaded it up again and it now shows No Service on the today screen, so I can't make any calls off it.
I also noticed that when the phone boots it shows No GSM where it used to have 2 different numbers.
I've tried reflashing it to WM5, and also to WM6.1 but both of these didn't seem to fix it. The WM6.1 version I used can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390862
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks!
Yes, fix is quick and easy and you can do it even at home: a soft reset.
Hi,
thanks for your reply,
I have tried soft and hard resets but this doesnt seem to fix it.
I wanted to try upgrading my Radio rom but when I ran the updater I got error 114. I'm not too sure what this means though?
Thanks!
Solution against "No Service" issue
Have a lot of Siemens SX66's. Just took one and ran unlocker, then flashed WM 6.0 and upgraded radio to 1.15.00. After that inserted SIM card and saw permanent "no service" message. Tried HR few times for no avail. Here's what really helped: I ran universal unlocker once again and then did soft reset. Voila! System booted and connected to GSM network. Hope somebody will find this useful.
Hi, All!
2 Larik007:
Did you have similate trouble with radiorom?
I have analogic problem with my BA (iMATE PDA2K)
At boot screen I see
No GSM
D 6.14 WWE
and boot process stops at this position.
Once my BA was booted up with this trouble, and goes to reboot and all repeats again.
I can't reflash radiorom.
At 61% I have "Error 114: Radiorom upgrade error"
I tried to reflash radioroms from 1.02 to 1.15, but nothing positive.
:-(
Can anybody help me?
No, my problem is because of some kind of error during unlock process, I guess. And your problem appears to be similar to "No GSM" issue of Hermes phones. But it may be repairable unlike Hermes ones...

I have the same "no service" issue. Can you give me a link for this magic universal unlocker
- what is this anyway?
Thanks!
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Unlock_Sim
Look for a link under word "this"
i had this problem, heres what i did that made it work,
1.re-insert the battery
2.press the on button
3.press the reset button TWICE
EVERY time you turn it off and on do this, but if you reset the phone you dont need to do it twice.
hope this works as it did for me,
Josh.
Partial solution for "No signal" problem
I think the idea was posted by xplode sometime ago- I spent a day playing with it, but it finally worked for me.
0) I had unlocked BA with 2003. Later on I upgraded it to WM 6.1 and then at some point I've got this "No service" issue. I upgraded my Radio to 1.15 (it did not help me- but I did this in the very beginning, so may be it matters)
1) I downgraded ROM to one of 2003 ROMs (xplode has a collection: http://tinyurl.com/cozbbx)
-) downgrade instructions are in here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.40.00_Upgrade
2) I unlocked band page for the network connection- it was discussed in (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=297099)
2.5) I finally used this cab : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23788&d=1121269005 to set band selection to 900/1800 (still no service)
3) I removed sim card and did a hard reset followed by soft reset. I put a sim card back and soft reset BA.
--- I guess at this point it's 2003 with 900/1800 band and working
4) I upgraded my ROM to 6.5 and it is working now.
the link is dead.sorry for my bad english i've tried all the procedure but still had no gsm on my xda iis dont have imei and i cant see my radio version can you help me....
Lucky You that I still have troubleshooting tutorial in my file archive. I've written it by myself when was unlocking many of these devices.
Although I'm not sure if it will help with symptoms You listed...
Here it is what you can try to do if your Blueangel PDA phone constantly showing "No Carrier" and it is not possible to enter phone settings:
1. Take off the battery from the phone while it is turned on.
2. Place the battery back in, turn on the phone. At bootup there should be stated "NONE" instead of versions of "R" and "G" (seems that it is required to be so).
3. After OS had boot, run the Unlocker. Few times, maybe.
4. Reboot.
I am using a Rogers S621.
I was running 6.1 and decided to try the official Rogers 6.0. I downgraded to that no problem. Now when I try to upgrade back to 6.1 I can't.
Everytime I try half way through the upgrade it stops and I get the message:
ERROR [270] UPDATE ERROR: The Image File Is Corrupted. Please Check Your Update Utility.
I have tried both
Kavana's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374890
Rick's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397845
and both do the exact same thing.
I have tried reinstalling the Rogers 6.0 and then retrying one of the 6.1 upgrades and it still does the same thing.
I have tried doing the upgrade both before and after doing an initial sync with my PC.
I have tried it with and without using SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab http://downloads.rogers.com/wireless/products/phones/HTC/SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab
The problem seems to be when it gets to:
"execute SPL now - allow to run JumpSPL and after this step, press center button (Continue) on your Excalibur and screen should turn nearly white"
When I press the centre button (Continue) it just goes back to my homescreen and does Not turn white. It then begins the update but, like I said, kicks me out half way through with that error message.
Ideas?

Exactly what software are you refering to?
SDA Unlock APP
The SDA Unlock app can be located at the link below
http://www.coderetard.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/sda_applicationunlock.zip
If that doesn't work the link is actually on this page
http://www.coderetard.com/2008/07/14/how-to-hack-your-t-mobile-dash-htc-excalibur/
When you installed WM6.0 it most likely lock the phone up again
I originally got my information to install 6.1 on that page before I came to XDA
It should work fine after you are done
Done and done.
Thanks a lot guys.
No problem, glad everything worked out for you.
Hi all,
This is an odd one - I have an HTC Diamond (DIAM100) and have run HardSPL and several ROMs with no problems. My Dad has an MDA V (DIAM200) (SIM Unlocked form T-Mobile) and is having problems with HardSPL in order to eventually put the HTC ROM on.
We downloaded the OliNex unsigned HardSPL. He runs the RUU and goes through all the warnings, then the phone goes to black screen and the progress bar dialogue appears on the computer. After a few seconds we get a 202 error complaining that it cannot connect.
I've searched here for an hour or so and as such we've tried...
- using different machine
- using XP and Vista
- usnig direct USB connection and a different USB to the normal one used
- restarted everything
- checked (and unchecked) the advanced network functionality
- run the .net 3.5 update
- tried 1.37 version of HardSPL
- manually running SSPL-Manual on the phone and then the RUU on the PC (although RUU seems to be fine at 'black screening' the phone itself)
- combinations of above
No matter what I try we get the same behaviour. After it fails we simply pull the battery and it starts back up as if it has been soft-reset. Entering bootloader manually we see he is currently on SPL-1.37.0000 if that helps.
Am I missing something??? Is there a problem with the MDA or with DIAM200 devices that my searches are not finding?
Hope you can help - please no RTFMs, I've been searching for hours - Rich
Some Hard SPL's are not compatible with certain devices. Have you tried other HARD SPL's ? I've used both 1.24 and 1.93 without a problem.
Yeah, error [202] is a connection error. Please make sure....
• Go to activesync on pc...
(on XP) File>Connection Settings...and Uncheck the "Allow USB Connections"
Then try flashing Hard SPL again!
If this doesn't solve your problem then just simply try flashing another Hardspl.
i'm using the 1.40 olinex hardspl (dont know if its signed or unsigned i forgot)
its working on my mda compact IV NLD perfectly
Hi all,
We were using the 1.40 originally but no joy. Tried the USB setting too - no joy.
I've downloaded HARDSPL 1.23 and 1.24 which I think I might try next.
Are these gonna be ok over a stock install of 1.37?
R
yes, it will overwrite the bios only.. but always back up data
are you using the RUU provided on here? or the original one...
Hi,
Tried the HardSPL 1.24 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621 - screen did not go black and we got the same 202 error when running the RUU.
***Tried to hard reset the device to see if that helped - but it wouldn't - we get the same as here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406195 meaning there is no internal image I think.*** Forget that - was pressing back button instead of centre button...!
STUMPED!!!

Same problem here. Can't install any hardspl(tried all) on my c4 with 1.37 firmware, it was one of the first ones made though, so probably too old to get any of the hardspl's to work/install? Back to T-mobile it goes.
Can they be *too old* - this one was not one of the first off the line, my HTC Diamond is a good 8 months older than my Dad's T-Mob.
Will T-Mob accept a return based on 'HardSPL won't work' - can't see them entertaining the idea myself...
R
What does the HardSPL version have to do with a connection error? A connection error means that something you are doing is not correct.
I predict you will try another HardSPL and do something a tad differently and boom, it will work and you will say that Hardspl only works.
I absolutely agree - but I just cannot figure out what - I'm no amateur either, flashed every HTC phone I've ever had - multiple times. But this one - stuck!

Have you tried going into bootloader manually and then running the customruu?
Sorry for the translate link but check this out:

Yep - tried this and the activesync thing - bootloader is fine - but 202 still occurs....

No, you misunderstand....
The original tmobile rom is absolute rubbish, its slow and buggy etc. If I send the phone to tmobile they will update the rom to a more recent release, which works much better!
As for the connection error, try a different computer again. I had to use 3 pc's before I could update the radio and rom, looking and working great now!

If you go to settings - connections - USB to PC
Uncheck the box Enable advanced network functionality then flash with your chosed hardSPL. It should work every time now!
This is checked as default so if you hard reset you ppc it will return to being checked.
hi im having trobble with mobile error i have instaled a number of new roms and theres afew roms like the new 6.5 some of the 6.1 that i get this message when i go to sim manger to place my contacts from sim to phone some times it will transer some of my numbers but not all of them and other times it does dont work it comes up with mobile error i have done hard resets and soft resets ive taken out the sd-card when flashing and i have no idea how to slove this would be greatful if someone could help me is there something i need to install or upgrade ect ect i have no idea thanks in advance
Mobile Error
I have had the same problem with WM6.5 and 6.1 and this was why I returned to WM6. Maybe the sim manager is not compatable with WM6.
Hi - while trying to install Skype, the entire OS simply crashed. The phone does switches on but no longer finds the OS. Hence, I have no way to get an ActiveSync connection. Is there any way to install a clean O/S onto it?
Thanks in advance,
First step take your time to read the sticky located at the top of forum..
You could try an hard-reset and if all else fails flash stock ROM via bootloader, then update to ROM of choice.
Error 300
Thanks. I did. Particularly the "unbricking instructions post" from ookba.
The issue is that my Dash does not even start up. Hence, there is no way for me to get an active sync connection.
Current Status:
- phone can be started by pressing the Camera key and Power, which shows the red-green-blue screen
- phone can then be connected to the PC via a USB connection. I hear the ba-bing, but the phone does/will not establish an Active Sync (which makes sense)
- downloaded the TMO official ROM from the TMO site which is a WM6. Now, I know my phone did not previously have WM6. It probably had WM5.x but I cannot find the SHIPPED ROM anywhere.
- when I tried the RRU from TMO WM6 ROM, I got through all the way to upgrading. At which point, the mobile screen went to a white/grey with status bar stuck at 0%. But the PC application crashed and gave an error 300.
repeated the same with Kavana's ROM and the same issue.
I am looking through the forums for error 300 but most solutions seems to require an Active Sync connection. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
have you tried hard reset? thats your best option
like stylez said, find the stock rom that was already on your phone and flash that.
i know you said you cant find it but it'll be online somewhere
look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381726&highlight=official+roms
The key here is that you find your original stock rom, I had the same issue a while ago and took some time to get my stock rom in the web, since the forum didn't have it. I found it in the rapidshare library http://rapidlibrary.com/index.php?q=rapidshare+library, searching under HTC s621 rom. Additionally, have u try method # 3 in the unbricking tutorial? It worked for me.
