You have to do that by yourself, just replace 0409 to 04xx (frensh lang).
all right so i take a 21XXX WWE for exemple and replace the 0409 by the french one (comming from an old SYS) and i still have a 21XXX SYS. that's what i must do ?

So i do it, i replace all the files 0409 (wwe) to the 040c (french) one , i flash my phone, and it start i have only a quarter of screen were the application lunch, like programms, parameters, TFLO3D, can you tell me what is the probleme
Ive done installing WM 6.1 Russian language on my Hp Ipaq rx1950 English (Original) .....
Then if any body can help to change the language of the "CEOS.nbf" (The same no other) Just by patching the English language file ...
As i ve Windows so i cant use xda-developer tools !
Or some instruction will be good too !

I have send an email to the administrator of the russian forum to get the rom but no answer.
I think with the russian rom kitchen we can replace the langage file with the french / english or other langages files?

Remove gwes.exe.0409.mui From OEM Folder... As it repeated ....
Exchange the initflashfiles.dat by one i have translated from Russian to english !
Result :
Boot For the first time after doing the Hard Reset (after flashing Obviously ) Show the boos screen In English XD, But it do not recognize the touch ability, so i cant confirm the first screen that say Touch the screen to continue !.......
Note :
When i run the "Build_XIP.cmd" The a Error reporting is showed .... So i tried without the Buil_Xip Process .... May thats the problem .....
So if anybody with SD Firmware backup can test that ... Will be very useful ....

On my French Version I have changed the 419 to 40C (French Langage Code)
I have found an english initfiles and now I have the same problem.
IPaq Start I have the Welcome Screen but I can't tap the screen to set up device
Maybe a drivers not include on initflashfiles?
I hope you will found the solution
I suggest to test with the Original Cook without modifie it,
We can see if the problem come from XIP or Not ..
Edit : I have test it's work the problem doesn't come from XIP ...

ive translated personally the initflashfiles.dat from Russian to English ! So its exactly the same ! So thats not the problem !

The problem come from LANG_040C or LANG_409 ...
With the french langage files I get a Black screen on the middle of the loading (When you can see the logo HP IPaq)

Russian version is still under development in part of xip port. English will be started straight after the final release of OSBuilder is out. I already translated the manual but I suppose I should make the additional chapters when the final release is ready.
