Cool Skin for Black 2.5

Hey guys,
I used to use Wisbar Advance before I started flashing. There was a cool skin on there that I liked called Windows Vista Portable. Well, after I flashed to 2.5 I got bored and re-installed it. By coincidence, all of the colors for the Vista Aero Dark Skin match the Black 2.5 colors and it ended up looking pretty cool. I took some screenshots for anyone interested. The Vista theme seems to be running much faster with black 2.5. Kudos again JJ!

They also have a plugin called WAD (Wisbar Advanced Desktop) which allows you to make your own theme. IMO i takes a lot of time and the newest version is a little buggy.

As per the OP, he is using Wisbar Advanced Desktop. If you are interested you can purchase it from lakeridgesoftware.com

Just a small clarification before you purchase anything from lakeridge software. I am using Wisbar Advance 2. Wisbar advance Desktop (WAD) is a plugin for Wisbar Advance 2 (WA2), which allows you to make your own themes, customize desktop, etc. Everything you see in the screenshots is from WA2. I downloaded a theme (Vista Portable) from
Http://xcskins.50webs.com/ourwork.html
and run that from WA2. So if you are looking for something like you see in the screenshots, you do not need to purchase the WAD plugin. BTW lakeridge has its own forum community which is really helpful if you have other questions.

When you download the theme, install (copy the folder and drop) into:
program files\lakeridge\wisbar advance\themes
Go to wisbar advance settings and on the first screen select the theme. If you download the screenshots in the first post you can see the settings page.
The link that I posted earlier does work, or you can try this link above, or you can google "Windows Vista Portable". You will want to downlaod the qvga version. Hope that helps.

It's not working for me either.

Just as a bit of info, WA2 has a memory leak that is being worked on. So if anyone is really interested in WA2, realize that issue exists. As someone mentioned earlier, read the forums there for more info.
Otherwise, it's a great program.

Thanks for not including cyberon vc it makes it much easier to get ms vc going.

Everything else seems to work just fine, but voice dialling ain't working (Error opening the short cut). This same happened with lvsw's version (and with Black 3.0).
How do I fix this?

there's a high speed HTTP mirror posted in the forum that the original posters link links to. i'm anti rapidshare, hence me starting up the file hosting thing!

I found another problem, that I never had before When I change anything via control panel Today, then nothing really happend, only after SR.This is odd, because if I want to use SPB products, then I must SR device each time, I make any changes. Till now I did not read or search on forum about this problem (or if somebody actually have same problem as I), I going to flash device again only if problem did not dissapear, then I start looking for answers.
PS: with original LVSW last version this problem was not.

now I find some posts about this prob here till now, no sollution.

For those of you who want ms vc over headset.
Its probably best to not have the headset paired so unpair it and just add it after all the steps.
1.) Install MS VC 1.6
2.) Install attached .cab
3.) In programs launch BT Voice Command Config
4.) Check enable
5.) Click save
6.) Click Exit
7.) Turn off phone
8.) Turn on phone
9.) Pair bt headset
I take no credit for this program it was done by XCSdM and later modified by ZaJules..
This works perfect for me no other tricks or reg edits zilch, nada, nothing. You might want to set voice command to button 5 though.

Is the x-button works like it should with elf version? I mean does the exclusive click working & what build is in this ROM version? thanks in advance

That´s exactly what I´ve tried today and so far so good.... it´s a pity as I liked the new version of x button!! Maybe our great chefs can find a solution at some point...

u can't ..my way of doing it is to uninstall the apps, go to settings/remove programs ..and then install the one here http://rapidshare.com/files/32749891/WLM.rar.html
or another way, is to use sleuth developers variation of this LVSW ROM.. (it is pre-installed with the transparent windows live search bar)

Hello everyone. I've been working on this project today and I'd like to share my work. This is the mini version of NRG ChomeWeather 3.1... MiniWeather 1.0.
It's only got ONE layout and that's a 5 day layout as seen in the screenshots below. It's portrait device compatible so feel to install on Tornado's and such. This version also hopefully corrects the problem people have been experiencing with the phone locking up while the keyboard was locked and the weather app was updated.
This version also has a solid autoupdate routine that hasn't failed me once in the last 3 days.
All in all, I believe this is a rock solid version and I've tried to anticipate any bugs that may occur. Think of this as a light version of NRG Weather 3.1, as it's only 2 megs in size.
However, I will stop development of the old 3.1 version and just improve this. I hope you like this... and please report any issues. Thank you.
A few words for the newbs... After you install and reboot, please set your location code in the Options. Then update.
In order for the detailed forecast panels to show updated information, the phone HAS to be rebooted. There's no way around this... YET. I'm currently
working on moving from the CTestUIPanel to another panel, but not ready to do so... yet.
Features:
- Autoupdate according to Yahoo servers' time + 10 minutes + 1-5 random minutes (so we don't all hit the server at the same exact times)
- Update in 15 minutes when no connection is found.
- First forecast day info comes from Yahoo... the rest from weather.com
- Verbose status information as the script is running.
- Minimal set of icons to save space.
- Detailed Forecast panels can be turned off in "Advanced Options"
- Application will not automatically refresh the screen while the phone's keypad is locked.
- Built-in leftover notifications removal tool, in case you want to uninstall. See "advanced options".
October 18th - 1.2 Release
- Twice as fast current forecast download.
- Only one layout supported.
- Revised layout and removed the monitor, for now.
- Blue / black backgrounds behind the temp and hi low indicators, actually follow the official sunrise/sunset of the location selected.
It updates in 15 seconds or less now...

This is a preliminary release of MiniWeather 1.3 with support for the new 20279 core which has a different Chome platform. This version is NO different than 1.2 and it ONLY works on the "Rose" based ROMs, including my own Excalibur version.

It's been happening since a couple of versions ago on my device (although I've uninstalled before installing this new one). Here's a SS of what I'm talking about. I think maybe it's some residual reg values or misplaced pics.

Well I figured out what the problem was. The script wasn't equipped to handle single digit temperatures Now it is and the second post was updated with a new cab. You can just use the attached "patch" cab if you've already installed the application. That way you don't have to reinstall everything. Thanks for the heads up on this.

Glad you like it. I put a lot of effort into this to make sure it's perfect and so far it looks like there's no issues after 70 downloads and no bug reports Hey, do you guys need a cab made for outerdepth's mod to my app ?

I made them a .cab file for their app already. Only thing i couldnt seem to do ( and i don't know why) was integrate mortscript into the .cab. I followed your .cab structure for mortscript.exe and it never worked. Hopefully showaco will post my .cab shortly and if you want to you can take a look at see if you can integrate mortscript into somehow.

It's easy really. Mortscript only needs two references in the classes section of the registry to tell windows how to open "mscr" files and of course the mortscript.exe file... copied somewhere on the device. I chose \windows for my cab files

see thats weird. i tried that and it didnt seem to work. i added the mortsript reg entries in the HKCR section and everytime in stalled the app and tried to run his weather options.mscr file it said that cannot find file or one of its components.... once i installed the .cab withouth mortscript and installed the mortscript.cab file posted on his thread it worked fine.... weird.

The "Start Menu" just looks too close and squashed and is it me or is it padded
to much from the left.
The "All Programs" screen looks fine though.

Just read your post, could you do that for me please. I like the new Start Menu Rhodium has and I prefer 3 applications per
row but definetely want to change the "All Programs" bit.

with this pack the sfotkey don't work.
The two soft-buttons on the bottom do not change from whatever was shown previously.
I use italian rom on my touch HD

now the buttons on the start screen are not working anymore
i saved the original mannila file and everything back to the normal.

there was a few issues with the 2 soft keys at the bottom of the screen not always changing or not showing the right options, i tried the file and come across the issue so i made a few changes, i think for the better

Theme Windows 7 in throttlelauncher port HVGA released 2011/02/04

Here I post some hubs ported to HVGA resolution, for who wants test theme W 7 over throttlerlauncher. It´s works very fine in my Mini and looks great!!

Now I resize the next: 1) Pictures: resize the pictures pages, for bigger images and the background always black (just for fun and because I can see better the captures) 2) Music: fix volumen button 3) Games: I change for black bacground on tiles. 4)home screen for see the clock and battery over the taskbar.
Note: Install first version 20/01, and after only if you like the version 04/02 the hubs or page that´s you want.

I would try first with the original (without) my folders, and then test if work´s fine.
Then try added of one. Really must works like I said in first post, but all it´s possible.

No, but is recommended disable el Sense (with cookie o without it) when use throttlelauncher because both use much ram memory. Throttle less than sense.
If you have problem with the original, may be is better that´s you ask in this forum. Good Luck.

The throttlelauncher until you found the correct combination of widget is so unstable, but after a few days with the widget, begin to be stable like sense.
For example, I don´t use the people hub, only use some contact like hub, because like the people hub use too many resource, for me was unstable.
The % is a problem of resize (i only have the problem with 100% but no less), there are not enough space, but I will try to look it´s better. In a few days I will posted a new folder with some improvements, like in the weather page background skin, and see the map. Actually the mapspage appear blank, but I find a solutions, and other minor bugs.
The calendar and the music hub are the original I don´t do any modifications about this, so the problem is the unstable of throttle. May be you must insist until be stable. Believe me, is posible begin with less hub and add to one for time.
Uninstall and install until you get it. Good lucks

i have the same problem, and i found the way to solve it. just use yr computer to download and extract the windowphone7_2.rar ( or all the file if you want ), then copy to yr mini.

It works for me with throttlelauncher V1.2.1 and WP7 theme V7_2, except some little troubles :
With this theme, the tiles titles are bad ( with segoe police installed ) why ?
When i copy your folders over the original, throttlelauncher is started but nothing appears !! Only agrey screen and two buttons at the bottom.
Can you please help me ?

Is strange, I don´t know why this happens, but sometime the throttlelauncher is so unstable. I would try with the original, and then copy the hubs on at a time, and test, if work fine backup folder: program files/throttlelauncher, and after add a new hub and so until install all.
In really the problem are not my folders, is the throttle (I only resize to HVGA and minor tricks. I would leave by the end the weather hub, because this need update until run and sometimes have problems.
