Cannot Hard Reset...

I'm having some problems with my device...
I cannot open Contact and Phone functions...
It said that "No Service" but i can send and recieve SMS only
I tried to hard reset the device but it seems i can't
Some people told me that the reason is i had not formatted my storage
But my "messaging" button is dead so i cannot format the Storage
Anyone can help me????

I suggest putting Linux on your SD card which will hard reset your BA when you insert it.
Put the autorun.exe from here: http://htc.gnulinux.biz/files/blueangel/sd/2577/
in a folder called '2577' (without the quotes) on your card
and the files
haret.exe
initrd-2.6.12-hh2.gz
startup.txt
zImage-2.6.12
from here: http://htc.gnulinux.biz/files/blueangel/sd/linux/
in a folder called 'linux' (without the quotes) on your card.
It will load up a penguin and a thermometer, when the thermometer gets to the top the penguin's eyes will crack, then linux will start loading and freeze after a while (because its not properly installed). Then press the reset button on your device and take the battery out and put it back in again and you will have a fresh new device!

So then my device will be very clear, right? And how about data on my SD Card? Will it be formated?
Will it format all my Storage? And after putted Linux on my device do i have to re install a ROM?

device will be clear. SD card will be all good, no data gone. storage will be formatted. and It doesnt actually put linux on the device, it puts it in RAM where WinCE usually runs (so it takes WinCE out of the RAM causing it to reload off the flash memory when WinCE is next loaded thus causing a hard-reset). there will be no need to reinstall a ROM. you will just have a nice fresh Windows Mobile.

it hangs right after eye crack and when i reset nothing is changed and all info are there ...
am I missing something ?
FYI the start; mail; internet; OK; buttons are not functioning ... so I am trying to hard reset (clear storage) in this way .
Q: is this possible registry problem ?

Storage card not installed ! help !

Hi all, after formating my storage using HP usb tool (yeah not a good idea) , the soft froze and now WM does not 'see' the storage card
if i use mass storage, my computer does not see it
using active sync, there is no storage card too
hard reset and nand format does not solve the problem, it stuck on formating nand...
is there anyway to initialize partition, check the nand ?
if you think it is impossible to recover it, let me know...

try this: get ur file system on internal storage in raw format. then try hard reset. once same thing has happened to me. i connected the phone as storage device, put it on formating, using the default tool in windows pc nd pulled the cable before formatting completed. and after that hard formatting was working.

i have try the software u said.
but the problem is they dont detect the internal memory of the HOX.
after uptade to jelly bean when i plug the usb cable dont appear like in ICS for choose to charge or to hard disk.
so how to solve this?

did you looked on pc also...? it can also be that you must update htc sync because of the mtb thingy.....second should be look for an sd speed app..and set it to 128 instead of most 2048.....
if that also fail...the data should be gone...maybe a wipe script that also wiped sd card or something like this

i choose mount sd card and then i reboot the phone and apears unmout again.
and in the phone if i go to settings and storage on the bottom said USB Storage device is not available.

what version of cwm...htc sync updated..?

yes htc sync is updated and the cwm is 5.8.4.0.

so from that side all ok...if you are in a file explorer...and go to sd..you see something...? if yes..try to mount from clockwork...if not work...try to copy the files with adb

Tough luck brother, if all else fails then deal with it. Many, including me, have faced the same. Good luck to you.

When you mount the USB mass storage in recovery you have to stay on that screen or it will auto-unmount. Once you've done that load up Recuva from Piriform and scan for the phones storage on the pc.

[Q]Corrupt Internal Storage Data and Recovering

Good Day All.
I'd like to share a weird problem that I've encountered today.
I have a Lt26 running .55 firmware stock, and my OS is Windows 8 Pro 64bit.
Now what happened today was I plugged my phone in my PC via USB, the "Xperia“ icon appeared in My Computer, under removable devices. I clicked on it, it will show Internal Storage (Contents on my phone)
Until this stage, everything was fine. I then went into my phone's internal storage to look for a mp3 file, but ended up finding an empty folder called "sdcard". Now the strange part comes, I've never seen this folder, and it appeared in my internal storage's root folder. I went into this folder, there was an empty folder called "Screenshot".
Bear in mind at this time there are 11GB of files on my phone. And all other files are presence on my internal storage, all was normal.
I made a bad decision to delete that empty folder, by pressing Shift + Del. Bad choice, my Explorer process got stuck, so I had to force close it. Then I pulled out my USB cable....
Now when I plug in my phone again, the internal storage shows that I have 25 GB of space available, but when I goto the root folder of the internal storage. I can see ALL THE FILES ARE STILL THERE, WITH CORRECT FILE SIZES. But if I unplug the usb cable, and open Root Explorer on my phone, the SDcard folder now has nothing in it, completely wiped. And the total available space now shows as "25GB" (Which is the full space)
I can only see those files on my PC. But when I try to copy them out of the phone, Windows tells me "Unspecified Error". I looked up for the meaning of that error code - Access Denied.
I have tried to mount Internal Storage as SD card using SD Mounter V2.0. Then used some recovering software to scan for files on that drive. I manage to recover 9000 files with a file size of 32kb only. Interesting enough, I can not copy anything back to the internal storage anymore.
I suspect that I might accidentally deleted the file index. As I've never seen that folder before.
MY QUESTION is. Are those data still there on my phone? Should I just give up trying to recover those files and clear internal storage within my phone's option?

Use sony pc companion and try to back up everything on ur computer.
After that format ur cell.
Thn restore ur backup.
If the files are available it should help
Or else no way out.

Yesterday I had same with u. If you moving files with root explorer, when u plug hh at computer that cant record.
And now I ussualy use es explorer, all moving same with my computer screen.

Hi there. I tried your method, and unfortunately the files can not be recovered this way. PC companion "having error trying to copy files". So I used Final Data and recovered about 70% of my stuff.

That's exactly what happened to me (deleted sdcard folder inside internal storage, etc, pc companion has errors trying to copy files). So I'm pretty much in the same situation now. Did Final Data really solved your problem? Where can I get it? Do you know any other software that might do it?

Firstly, you can google around Final Data. Or try using Recuva. They both work, but I'd say Final Data works much better. I managed to recover 29G of stuff (Most of them are not working) from both softwares.
To get Final Data recognize your phone's internal storage, you must remember to use SD Mounter by Soheli (I used V2.0). It's in the same forum, maybe you should look for it. Sorry I don't have the link anymore.
DO NOT TRY TO COPY ANYTHING INTO YOUR PHONE AT THIS STAGE (Except for SD Mounter Maybe). Mount your Internal Storage as Mass Storage after you installed the apk file. Your PC should recognize the drive as a "Removable Drive", then open Recuva or Final Data, do a deep scan (It took me a whole night just to scan through 11GB of files, another 3 hours to recover the files).
Good Luck. I recovered 70% of my stuff with this method.

Damn, it requires root and I don't have the phone with it and trying now to root it would wipe data (at least it seems so)...

Ok, I was able to do it. Having stock ICS without root and bootloader locked, I had to get root to try the sd card mount and recover data.
Luckily, I found Bin4ry's root method for Xperia S: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 . It worked as a charm, and now I have root in stock ICS (without unlocking bootloader).
After, I follow your comments, installed SD Mounter: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1744878 , mounted the Internal Storage as SD Card and was able to run the PhotoRec and recovered almost all pictures (without the correct name). Couldn't use Final Data and Recuva only found 5% of the photos.

I was using unofficial rom. I was trying to expand ram using external card. Everything was ok. Suddenly my screen frozen and I unplugged charger and battery.
Than I plugged the battery again. But the phone didnt start. An unofficial phone service tryed jtag. But they caould't manage. Samasung says your garanty is over and you should pay 205$ for motherboard.
When I connect my phone to a win7 64 bit It connects via Qualcomm HS driver.
I don't think my phone is fully dead.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
I have searched on this issue. Results are for htc phones or the other ones. No help for i8050.
I have win8 64 bit and Ubuntu installed on my pc.
Could anyone give tutorial and needed software or scripts????

Can you still access CWM recovery? If so, follow these steps:
First, make sure you got the ROM and the corresponding Gapps on the External SD card. If not, transfer them on your External SD Card somehow (via a card reader, for example). You're gonna need them later. If you already have a custom ROM that you like and it's on your external memory, then you can just skip this step and go forward.
After that, enter CWM and:
select "wipe data / factory reset"
go to "mounts & storage" and format /system. This is extremely important!
under the same menu, format /sdcard (be careful NOT to format /external_sd by mistake)
install the ROM (from the external sd)
install the corresponding Gapps for your ROM (from the external sd)
reboot your phone
Please, note that every step of this tutorial is mandatory!

Nothing on the screen.Phone is fully bricked. It doesnt swithc on or I dont see anything on the screen. Win7 x64 detects Qualcomm HS when ı connect via usb.

What if you remove the external sd card and try again? Can you enter Download Mode (long press Home + Volume Down key + Power button.)

I have tryed all.
The phone is in download mode but nothing on thescreen. Because all hidden system partitions such as boot partition is wiped by Swapper2.
It looks like a computer with corrupted bios.
QPST may be helpfull to solve this issue. It can reprogram these partitions with required xml files.But I dont know where to get these files. QPST comes with some xmls but I dont know which one to use.It also ask for boot image and phone image.
