Where would I go to find the back casing for the Cavalier. Just purchased one off eBay and it is missing one of the rubber stops on the back cover. Everything else is in meticulous order, just that little rubber piece is missing. I figured you'd have to purchase the whole casing to get it back, but I can't find it anywhere.

I actually have been able to find some housings for the Cavalier online, but they seem to come without the rubber pad on the back. Any idea where I can get the rubber pad? I just need one of them and I'm willing to pay $10 for one.

Do a search for a dummy phone, they are usually like 20 bucks, and maybe could have the rubber pads you want!
Tried finding the dummy phone for this model but only found one on eBay and the pic shows it without them. I'm almost going to a store and just taking it off one.
LOL, I had bought this phone once from Vodafone, and found out that it only had one rubber pad, so I returned it Bought another one from Vodafone, couldn't unlock it and returned it.
Eventually bought it from best buy online.

Is it possible to attach a lanyard (or strap) to the PDA2k? It's such an expensive machine, I wouldn't want to drop it. Any suggestions?
Pick up a Krusell case -- it has a slot for a lanyard and adds very little to the size of the unit. You can get them on eBay for around $20.
This may be a dumb, follow-up question, but...
What do either of you intend to use for your lanyard? I have the Krussell case, but can't figure out what to do for a lanyard: If I use a long lanyard, so I can get the phone out for easy usage, it doesn't solve the problem of protecting my phone from drops; if I use a short lanyard, the phone is protected from falls, but then becomes a pain to use/answer calls.

I want to get one of these Krussel cases for $20, but eBay's not pulling up anything. Can anyone provide a retail link or another auction link for my PDA2k?
I bought mine from paylessalways a couple months back -- he doesn't seem to have any at the moment, however. As I recall, I waited a month or so to find the deal I got.
Expansys lists it for $23.95, but not shipping for 8 days. GadgetFreeks has it in stock for $24.88 -- their shipping costs are pretty good, so it works out about the same as eBay.
I've got some mean scratches on my dash, just wondering if the dummy phone housing is compatible with the real thing so I can make a swap on the housing. It seems like it would work but the chrome part of the housing might not fit internally since the dummy phone has no guts. Has anyone attempted this or can someone point me out to where I can buy parts. I've found cnn.cn sells the black housing portion branded as the dopod c720, but have not yet to find the chrome part.
I know I am a couple of MONTHS late lol but this replacement face has a debranded chrome piece already attached to it.

Rubber skin
I would suggest using a commercial thin rubber skin that fits great. Try the transparent one that allows you to see any detail on the qwerty. I got one for 5 bucks, from HK, I´m happy!
I don't know if this is the place to ask, I haven't seen anything like this but here goes:
I bought my Otterbox refurbished from an eBay seller. It's in great shape, came working well, except I have a problem: me. I keep breaking the clips, I've broken one on another phone and the one I got for my Atrix. Does anyone have a spare clip I can buy or has someone switched from Otterbox and doesn't want to go back?
I can buy another refurbished case/clip combo for $13 shipped. That might not seem like a lot but right now money is extremely tight (my medical disability ran out even though the doc hasn't said I can go back to work). Anything cheaper would be great.
Edit: Why do the clips keep breaking? I'm a cable installer, the belt clips themselves keep getting caught on stuff in small spaces. I've been without one for a while now and I'm getting fed up with the monsterous thing in my pocket
They have a pretty good warrenty, I sent them a few pictures of my Iphone clip after it broke in 2 spots and they sent me a new one after a few days.

I got one from eBay, a knock off but is identical to the overpriced Samsung one (probably made in the same factory as the "official" one) for 11 quid. The official one I got from amazon, paid 29 quid for it. But that was a while back. Maybe it depends which ebay seller you use?
Looking at them now, I use a different cover btw, I can't tell which is which lol.

This would only be the case for cases that put a magnetic closure to jump on board with the them of iPad cases. I have never had on, so this is just here-say i saw in another XDA thread. Maybe another cause would be a knock-off case that was too tight, and pressured the tablet too much. Honestly i have nothing to speak from, as far a personal experience with these case issues. I am using a Blason brand black case that i got off of amazon for around $15. Only complaint, is that the edge flap the secures to top of the tablet to close the case, has gotten a bendy crease in it, that is only a minor inconvenience sometimes.
I have just received my Samsung Galaxy Note 10'1 case from amazon.co.uk, it was through the UK site but was a german company so took over a week to arrive but only £31.37, the company web site is www.avides.com, I am delighted with the case, I had a pleather one bought for about £15, this one washes it away, you can access the whole screen, there is a special slot for head phone jack so you don't have to removes to flip cover upward and you have easy access to pen. My fiancée got me a leather case that is actually for the Tab 2, so I tried cutting out a hole for my S-pen, this however, made the corner very weak and unable to hold that corner of the tablet in place.
It is still usable, but I'm looking for a lightweight case, similar to the official ipad cases with the magnetic screen cover. Where can I get something like this, cheap?

I can confirm that the knockoff I bought does interfere with the S-Pen. There are 6 circular magnets that run across about 2/3 down from the top. When I write in this area the sensitivity and accuracy are messed up but for some reason it's worse at the right side. Problem goes away as soon as I remove the case. I got mine from ebay.

I bought the official one from newegg and it also interferes with the screen at times. I write on this thing ALOT, at least 5 hours a day, so I notice it for sure. Every now and then it will take more pressure to write on top of the magnets. If i take the case off and put it back on everything is fine. I find myself taking the case off and on alot.

purchased for $18 at a kiosk in the midle of a mall w boostmobile plastered all over it, everyone that sees the case says it sucks and that my phone can fall right out. to me it feels like the ph
one can fall out the case but i have had it for 3 days and have yet to have the phone fall out, i dont think i will be holding the case on the edges and upsidedown any time soon.
for a total of $23 i got the case plus screen protector
I have a $50 radioshack giftcard but did not want to spend it on a $55 hard case and i could not find any other options without having to purchase a case online.

you should have purchased a case online. could have saved yourself $15, and got a really really really really really nice case...(relative to the one you got anyway)

i know i know it looks bad, i had no choice i payed $400 for the phone basicly because of my credit with att so i was not about to let $400 of my savings get scrached up..
since i purchased the universal ps3 controller clip im thinking about using this case with the clip and purchase another one for normal use.
any ideas or suggestions? i like the style the htc one has and dont like having a case covering it but buying a clear case is like not having a case because no one knows its there.

Not quite sure what you're asking here. Are you saying you like clear cases because it keeps the phone's original look...our are you saying you don't like them because no one will know you have a case? Your use of but in there makes the sentence a bit weird
Assuming the former, checkout the links I provided above. It's a tpu case so it offers decent protection. Also checkout the kayscase. It's hard plastic so not as good protection wise...but it's totally clear

I think hes just asking for suggestions and he merely pointing out that he doesnt like cases because it hides what the device looks like, but with a clear case you can see thru it and it doesn't hide the devices appearance so it's probably not out of the question for him option wise.
Personally, I myself do not like cases either. Why buy a nice fancy looking phone just to hide it?
A clear case is a nice alternative as are full skins which are my personal choice.
