The support bracket thing broke off on two edges. I have to take the case off a few times a week to change the battery out guess it just wore out
One of the support brackets on my siedio innocase active just broke off today. Not happy after it only lasting a few months.
I'm on my third one. My first one had two of it's tabs break off within a month, and both my second and third had the soft touch paint start to peel off within a week. I still use it because IMO it's the nicest looking case out there but damn Seidio really needs to work on their build quality.
mines been great no paint peeling or brackets breaking xP just scuffed from were i droped it lol
had mine since july no problems
about 2 month ago two tabs broke on mine, sent it back, only had to pay shipping (but still like 8 bucks) got a new one but this one is peeling. i think its the best case IMO however I dont like the fact that it is going to probably break again and will have to send it back. i will probably just get an otterbox if that happens.
Mine has been peeling since I first got it, one the support tabs broke over a month ago, and another one only a few days ago...
I still like the way it looks on my evo and the feel of it, but disappointed the quality is not very good.
What are the warranty details? My holster broke today but the other pieces are fine its the rugged case.

go to there website and put in a claim. they will then email you the details if you qualify.
I had one for my pre, it was junk, I will never buy one of these cases again, and from what I am reading here it looks like they still have the same old problems.
One of my tabs broke off cuz I dropped it on concrete. However, the silicon power button is wearing off. Its become annoying that I have to use my finger nail to turn the phone on. The volume rocker has the same issue. I bought the otterbox impact case for $10 on amazon. It looks built to last.
been great for me
I guess I'm lucky - I've had mine since July, and have had no troubles whatsoever... It still looks practically brand new. Maybe my phone just leads a very sheltered life.
I just filed a claim hopefully they get back to me soon

I love the looks and feel of the case...but I have had 2 with broken tabs now. I do not remove the case very often either.
I am eyeballing these now:

I have the rugged case, and I also have a broken tab on mine. I have a Ballistic HC case on the way to replace it.
i've had my feather for about 3 weeks and loved it, but I took a ride on my motorcycle last night and presumably the phone was pressed up hard to my leg while in my pocket. some kind of stress that it went through cracked the part under the speakerphone hole - i had never dropped it before. so beware, that part of the case is a little weak.
luckily, incipio has an amazing warranty policy and will be sending me a replacement.
Similar thing happened to me. How did you go about the warranty process?

Hmm... I was planning on picking one up but maybe I'll just pick up one of those replacement battery covers.
Same here. I still like the case though. I went through like 4 of them under warranty when I had a Nexus One.
the case doesnt seem very durable, has anyone dropped their phone with this case?
Mine cracked by the volume rocker. They are quite brittle. Even with the good warranty policy, I'm going to look for a different case.
Mine broke in the same place. Never dropped it.
I've yet to try to warranty it though. I just put a little super glue there and it's good as new.
I always keep my phone in either a speck or otterbox, and when I go to sell it a year later since it looks brandnew I'll make more money off than what I bought the phone for which is why I wont use any of those slim cases

mine still looks brand new. and it doesn't take up 130% of my pocket =P
Wow, mine broke exactly on the same spot. I never dropped it..
The spot it is breaking in looks like the place its broken of the mold at the factory. Case feels a little rough at that part.
Sent from my Atrix
meh ----- not a big deal as long as the atrix doesnt break.
i had the same case until i dropped it of the table and the case dropped and shot off and chipped the corner of the atrix
well days later the case just broke
i paid 30 for it and it just sucks
i just tossed it and got a tpu case off of amazon and i love it and have already dropped it and nothing happened

should have kept it. i just got a replacement for free, all i sent in was a picture of the damage and my order number. it was almost instantaneous and they didn't ask for it back. i also was able to order the new red color instead even if you didn't want it anymore, you could have just sold the replacement.
I was debating whether to get an otterbox case (commuter or impact) or the incipio feather, and I ended up getting the otterbox. It's a lot more durable. I feel like the feather is more decorative then useful...
Mine broke just from removing it from the phone maybe 10 times since I got it....the rubber starts to come off too close to the fingerprint reader and the edges of the case. I really like the lightweight design. Otterbox is too bulky.....I have the Speck case and that is already too much bulk for me.

I got mine from radioshack and it cracked in the same place as the creator of this thread. Is it possible to get a replacement on it if i didn't get it online though? I see u mentioned an order number =/ So now im starting to scratch my head and getting ready to cross my fingers.... Its a nice case and the thinnest one so i wouldn't mind getting a replacement considering it was $24. I have never dropped my phone with it in the case, but somehow it just snapped while it was in my pocket

Of course you can still get a warranty replacement from Incipio if you bought from RadioShack. I would call Incipio @ 800.733.0088 (US Toll Free) or email them @ [email protected] to find out about a replacement (info taken directly off Incipio's Website).
If you are within 30days of buying it from RadioShack, I would try to see if RS would exchange it for you in store- to avoid shipping and wait time.
you can also talk to online support and they will give you the proper steps. if you have a receipt of the purchase i think it'd be fine; luckily for me since it's online they didn't ask me to send it in, i don't know how that would work out for ones bought from vendors.
anyway, here's the new red one they sent me. the color is amazing; it looks completely different (maroon -> brilliant red) depending on the lighting and angle.

Damn that looks HOT! I want the red!!! I hope incipio makes more colours...like a dark purple
I posted this elsewhere, but I figured Id post it here too.
So, I got my case the other day, and I can say this. This thing has a couple of features that you dont see anywhere else. I like the fit as well as the the look.
So Im guessing I wasnt the only one contacted by them, but Im sure that I wont be the last. I was expecting something cheaply made and nothing near this quality.
Two biggest things that I like about this case are as follows.
They have aux port plugs. I remember when phones actually came with these. My LG enV3 had one, but my Bolt doesnt. These are usefull and sit almost flush with the case without covering the mic hole. Great feature and they come in packs of two.
The other thing I really like about this case is how it was designed. Ive read a couple threads about people complaining about light leaks on the bottom and dust getting into the the phone from the bottom. These guys have brought up the bottom of the case so that it covers the break on the bottom. Thus eliminating dust being pushed in while it sits in your pocket.
The materials that this case is made from I like a lot better than my Seidio to be honest. It doesnt feel slippery or too smooth. It has a bit of a rough finish to it and that leaves you feeling less like its going to slip from your hand and crack. Coming from someone thats already had to have the digitizer replaced, thats a huge bonus.
I like it and overall, this case gets two thumbs up. The price is reasonable as well which is always good. For 20 bucks you can get a good combo deal from them. Even if you dont pick up one of their cases, the plugs alone are worth purchasing.
They gave me a Zune HD case and I fell in love. The moment they got it in stock I ordered one. May end up ordering another one down the line in a different color.
Where could I order just the plugs?
just go to http://www.rearthusa.com/
look up your phone and you should be good
Coupon code
If you type "Ringke Thunderbolt coupon" into Google, it will list a page that has the case, two audio caps and two screen protectors for $21, plus free shipping. I ordered yesterday. The only downside is you cannot choose the color of the audio caps.
The link is the second one on the google search engine: Under dealnews(dot)com
Dropped my phone last week and made a nice dent in the faceplate. For those who don't know, it's some sort of metal (probably aluminum). Anyway, I'm not up for replacing a phone that works, so I'm looking to replace the faceplate. Anyone know of anywhere online they can be purchased?
A case is definitely coming now too..
UPDATE below (#11)
Wish I could help you, the front plate is some sort of soft metal, and the black scratches off it very easily, I got a replacement due to that in the first week, it's had a TPU case since. one of the old style ones hard as hell to press the power button but it's barely noticeable that's why I love it.
Yeah, I'm kicking myself in the ass royally for not getting a case. If I can ever get a replacement faceplate, I'm going to put it in a case. Not worth an insurance claim though when the phone is functionally fine.
All kinds of parts can be found on this site.
http://www.repairsuniverse.com/htc-droid-incredible-2-screen-replacements-repair-parts.html
ebay has a few in a bunch of diff colors. only some are buy it now eligible tho.
Saw the link posted in General.. Going to be trying them out on my next paycheck..
post your results/difficulty level.
Will do. Placing the order tomorrow, hope to have by Friday.
Here is a good teardown of it: http://www.repairlaunch.com/blog/htc-droid-incredible-2-teardown-repair/
I am curious as to how difficult it is to do though, wouldn't mind swapping out for a red housing
Bezel should be here today. It's at the local post office, so it bloody well better. I need to go source a Torx T-5 though from somewhere around here.. Probably going to have to do that at lunch since we don't have anything out back.
Okay, my thoughts? Not worth the hassle. Not for the flimsy metal. If you broke your screen and are replacing that, then it might be worth it. What a total pain in the ass, and I didn't even bother..
Prevented me from doing it as well. I dropped my phone the day after I got it on the pavement. Luckily only had a few scratches on the edges, but the TPU case covers them up beautifully. Definitely not worth taking my entire phone apart lol.
Not in the slightest. The metal fascia is all bent to hell now because I had separated it from the original piece, but you can't tell that after I put it back on and put my Otterbox Defender on it..
Otterbox FTW!

i know i know it looks bad, i had no choice i payed $400 for the phone basicly because of my credit with att so i was not about to let $400 of my savings get scrached up..
since i purchased the universal ps3 controller clip im thinking about using this case with the clip and purchase another one for normal use.
any ideas or suggestions? i like the style the htc one has and dont like having a case covering it but buying a clear case is like not having a case because no one knows its there.

Not quite sure what you're asking here. Are you saying you like clear cases because it keeps the phone's original look...our are you saying you don't like them because no one will know you have a case? Your use of but in there makes the sentence a bit weird
Assuming the former, checkout the links I provided above. It's a tpu case so it offers decent protection. Also checkout the kayscase. It's hard plastic so not as good protection wise...but it's totally clear

I think hes just asking for suggestions and he merely pointing out that he doesnt like cases because it hides what the device looks like, but with a clear case you can see thru it and it doesn't hide the devices appearance so it's probably not out of the question for him option wise.
Personally, I myself do not like cases either. Why buy a nice fancy looking phone just to hide it?
A clear case is a nice alternative as are full skins which are my personal choice.
