Download and install Windows Mobile 6

Hi!
I have a Softbank (HTC Tytn) with Windows mobile 5 in Japonese.
But I'd like to upgrade this OS to Windows mobile 6 in English.
Where can I download the Windows mobile 6? And how can I install this OS?

Please read, then post in the appropriate section. Did I mention to read first?
Anyhow, start here. (these instructions will allow you to install Windows Mobile 6 on your device)
Then go here to learn about all the different versions of Windows Mobile 6.
IMPORTANT: DON'T ASK WHICH VERSION IS THE BEST. READ WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID ABOUT THEM IN THEIR RESPECTIVE THREADS AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.
Be sure to read all you can in the Hermes forums so that you don't accidently "brick" or destroy your phone. The processes to upgrade are quite easy, but you must follow all the instructions given very carefully.
Check out the WIKI too. It has a wealth of info for you and your device.

Try looking HERE

read read read
and then read some more. TyTn's are not cheap, if you don't want to have to shell out big bucks for a new one, or for a repair by HTC make sure you've read most of the threads on here about upgrading. Don't use the built in search, it's not very good, use a google search with "site:xda-developers.com".
Also, mrvanx's guides (google for mrvanx, first result) are good for newbies (it's what I used for my first flash) and takes you through HardSPL install (to act as insurance against bad flashes bricking your device).
Finally, if you don't want to bother reading then my only advice is to not risk upgrading and enjoy being stuck with a WM5 Japanese device

ce os 5.2.1622(build18128.0.4.4)
i used the unlocker of the site. and it worked great!
i was wondering how to install a different rom on it to change the theme and what not!?!?!
can anyone help me

your using stock rom that came with the phone, so as far as your provider is concerned yes your up to date.. as you can see on these forums there are many newer builds made available to you by cool chefs like myself. so take your pick and flash once you hard spl'd your phone..
read the wiki and pick your rom for your own taste

I have a small question. So far I have focused in the ROM and WM 6.1 Pro, but now I switched to ROM WM 6.5 Pro and I am very satisfied so far, but I need to verify if I can install applications for WM 6.1 Pro? Before I install anything, just checking.

Yes you can, I tried many 6.1 ver. softwares on my 6.5 wmobile.So go without fear....

Upgrading from WM6.1 to WM6.5. Help Needed

Hi,
I am using HTC Touch Diamond WM6.1 since last 1 year. I am very much interested in upgrading to WM6.5. But, I am not sure how to do that.
I have been upgrading ROMs from the HTC website, but not able to understand the way its given here in this website.
Please Help.

Now, I finally have installed WM6.5 on my Touch Diamond
Current Specifications:
SPL - 1.93.Olinex
ROM Version - BsB 6.5 WWE
ROM Date - 07/15/09
Radio Version - 1.00.25.05
Protocol Version - 52.29.25.12G_1.00.25.05
Just need to know if I have done right.
I am feeling very good after looking at the interface and look of WM 6.5

I've tried using the thread on how to install the HardSPL for the Diamond. So far, i have been unsuccessful. I get the black screen everytime. once i get around this i plan on upgrading to 6.5 as well. Can ya'll help me?

You need to be more specific of what problem you are facing with your dash. If you read sticky's tutorial and guide in the first page of this forum, you will find original shipped roms for your excalibur and how to flash them, also different cooked roms. Believe me, it won't be necessary to search for WM5 after you flash a cooked or original roms available (6, 6.1 or 6.5).
