[09-December-2007] (prerelease) PsiDOC's WM5 2.041 Rom

Tis the season for goodwill to all, so I decided to publish a pre-release taster of the WM5 rom I am working on. It's fast and stable an to be honest I am well impressed with it's robustness.
It's based on the debranded T-Mobile Vanilla I released last month.
Here's what you get extra in the rom:
Opera 8.65
Registry editor
TCPMP
Hibernate (Use to free up program ram)
Notepad
Pocket rar
PS Shut XP (Reboot Tool)
Total Commander
SMS Backup Tools
Contacts Backup Tools.
Tray Launcher
PDF Viewer.
*** NEW Addition 11 December 2007 *** Now Added HTC X-Button Version 1.5
A couple of extra today themes. (Thanks to KDSKamal for some of them)
and a few tweaks.
I am still working on this as I'd like a nice custom look to it, but please enjoy for now.

well, i hope someday we can have an stable WM5 rom which supports the 128MB RAM.

What's with all the 4's dude? No it's untested but I recall someong running the base rom like that without problems.

In the build are the relevant drivers for SDHC support, but cannot test because I do not have a SDHC card.

Thank you. The Arabizer I have no idea how to install or what it does as I can't read or write in arabic. Surely this can be installed as normal?

What About Video Call, it is working or not ?

Yes. Video calling is 100% working. It's a Windows Mobile 5 rom.

i have one question.. does Video Call button apply on keyboard? because i got your last ROM version and video call was usless

Video call is 100% working. Tested by me about 5 mins ago on my G4 XDA Exec.
To enable VC on the on screen dialler pad then please see 2 posts above.

Can you please tell me where can i find the "ms_.nbf" for the EXT ROM and the radio.nbf for the RADIO, please.
I´m using Windows Mobile 6 an wold like to revert to Windows Mobile 5.

Use any extended rom (ms_.nbf) and Radio Rom (Radio.nbf) you like. You can even use the existing ones in the phone already.

Sorry, i don´t understand! How can i do that? I´m using WM6. can i use the WM6 files, where do i get them? I have several roms for my Universal, but they are in "exe", and when i try to install them i get the error "Coutry id error" is there any way i can extract the files that i need "ms_.nbf" for the EXT ROM and the radio.nbf and even the Windows file?

here is the pdaviet thread on the pdaviet page, but you have to register to download. i used to get the roms mirrored on another ppc page thats no longer active, anyone registered with pdaviet that can mirror this rom to download?

in testing with radio 1.48.00.10 , update results tomorrow

Keyboard layout
I installed this on my 8525, so far so good. Looks great.
My keyboard layout isn't setup correctly though, I believe it's supposed to be setup for the Cingular layout? But I don't remember (or can't find) where to change that setting, and I've been looking for about the last 20 mins.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Use this Cab to fix it.

This Rom is not the final Rom, so much bugs. Tommorow will ralease the newest and fix the old bugs. I will show the link to download and test.

So far so good very responsive even Tflo and cube are fast.
haven't had the time to test al the details but let you know what my findings are.

fix for not inizialize camera
if after flash rom not inizialize camera:
switch off phone and remove sim card
start phone and switch off again
insert sim card switch on and camera start

MoMo rearrange xip map and did some tricks to make it work ..
i'll update new rom here again when there is a better rom ..

I tried the 25/2 version.
Its terrible. i could not set the date to 2008!
Cant go any further because syncing will be a big issue.
So did you try or yr basis is based on the blog?

Thank you. I was going to look into cooking my own clean ROM (No Manila) this bank holiday.
I still might to it, just out of wild curiosity, but there is no rush now.

Dash keeps saying image file corrupt !!!

i have tried to flash several new rom's on my sons dash and when it gets to a certain point it says that the image file is corrupt and i have unlocked for apps several times any suggestions ???????

Try redownloading the ROM and reflashing it. Remember to remove your SD card. If all else fails try flashing from a different computer.

I have the same problem, I am using Rom 6.5 3VO 1.30, and now I want to flash new rom but It alway have error 270 when it was copying (about 3%), I have tried to unlock many times and flash with other rom...
What can I do now!???

Congrat. The best and stable ROM right now is 3VO ROM.

And do you known the keyboard error: when I press and hold "Q" it appear % (not !), hold "N" => & (not @)...
I have tried to install et9 full but can not solve it.
I have this trouble with both of rom: 6.5 3VO 1.30 and 6.5 3VO 1.40

I think we have different keyboard layouts.I don't know what you have, but I have a tmobile Dash with US keymap. My function key for Q is "%" and function key for N is "&". Yes, even after long press on Q I still have "%" and N as "&" as according to my keyboard layout. Anyway, as mentioned some post earlier that Ookba will update his ROM and it will include keymap fix. Hopefully, it will be soon because I can't wait for another updateIn the meanwhile, you can try installing this eT9 cab. It usually will fix all keymap error.

My phone is HTC S620, and before I uprom to 6.5 3VO (it used rom 6.0), the key map is OK (Q => !; N => @ ...), I have already tried to install et9full and TegicEt9US but they can not solve my problem, I also tried to replace file Et9.Excalibur.Keymap.txt in Window folder but there was nothing changed
Do you have other idea for me?
(sorry of my bad english; I hope to live in US for afew months to learn E, are you student? or you was born in US?)
