Are you using original HTC headsets?
I've always used with mine and I've never had problems as you mentioned.

No audio... help!

So this morning, after my usual flashing of the latest Cyanogen nightly, I noticed that my Inc was no longer putting out any audio. Without thinking twice I recovered the previous nightly, but I'm still getting no sound from notifications/ringtones, music or alarms. Thanks in advice for any suggestions.

Update: I plugged my phone into my stereo and am getting audio again, but still not from the phone itself when I unplug it again. This leads me to believe it to be a hardware issue, which is probably not an easy fix. Should I start looking for a new phone? I use it as my alarm and I need to hear my ringtones because I don't always feel it on vibrate so it's not very useful to me now...
I'm seeing a similar behavior. I have audio until I use a BT headset. Once one has been used, I lose all audio from the phone speaker (even after the BT headset is disconnected). I'll have to try a wired headset to see if the audio is redirected. Only a reboot will restore my audio from the phone speaker. If the headset supports A2DP, I lose all audio even through the BT headset.
Does a reboot fix your audio?
Reboot does not fix my audio. I figured out that it is a problem with the speaker itself, which is very easily replaced http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799592
My audio works fine when plugged into my stereo or headphones, but is intermittent from the speaker. Apparently Incredibles are known to blow speakers?

[Q] [HELP] External speakers are not working

Hi Guys,
I have recently installed ARHD 6.3.1 on my rooted Desire HD, but after installing I have no audio on external speakers. Previously I had ARHD 6.2.0 before and never has similar issue. However I can hear audio through headphones, wifi is also working. In fact, everything else is fantastic. I have tried flashing this ROM again and again, but always have this same issue. Can anyone please let me know the solution?
Thanks in advance.
Are you plugging the external speakers into the headphone jack, or are the speakers wireless?
Phone speaker
By external speakers I mean the speakers of the Desire HD. When I plugin headphone in 3.5 mm headjack I can hear everything. If I do not, there is nothing I could hear.

Any ROM that allows BT headset for phone and 3.5mm jack for music audio?

I have the problem where the 3.5mm audio jack doesn't work if BT headset is plugged in as seen in this thread. I usually drive with 3.5mm audio jack for podcast and answer calls with my BT headset. However for some reason the SGS2 and SGS3 has this problem of disabling BT if the headphone jack is plugged in.

I was wondering if there are any ROMS that solve this problems such as going to a CM9 Stock ICS build.
I would root and try it out myself but I am on a trial period with the phone and don't want to root and place a rom in the risk of breaking or bricking the phone.
If you guys can give me your input with ROMS that fix this problem that would be great!
Probably not because hardware connection would probably always override software.

Distorted Audio Sound quality when connecting headphones.

If someone can present a resolution I'd be very grateful.
I'm having trouble listening to music on my E4GT when it comes to listening to music. Whenever I connect earphones the sound is automatically distorted and robotic sounding. But oddly, whenever I connect to my car audio auxiliary it plays fine. I try different options to pinpoint the problem, its not the headphones because they work with any other device (also tried multiple headphones) and its not a hardware issue because it works with my car stereo hookup. I havent tried portable speakers because I dont possess any. Its very frustrating.
Thing is this started recently, I havent changed roms or installed any apps.
Im on Jellybean 4.1.2, rooted running the latest MIUI from the Android Development thread..
Ive seen a thread before the issue started on a different forum site, but it has no search feature so I cant relocate it.
Can anyone help me out??
