It all depends on where you are. Just dont try to flash radio too many time, it is dangerous. If you still want to flash, flash using SD card.

I did updated all roms that you guys post on 'Hermes Mobile 6'. I would say that everything goes very good but the problem is battery drain decrease very fast. Any suggestion about this problem?
When you say all ROMs, have you tried different Radio ROM's? Different radios can have a big impact on battery use; only way to find out is to flash one, use it for a few days. Helps to have Battery Bar which monitors power consumption as well. The latest is not necessarily the greatest. Sometimes it's best to use an older radio ROM. Trying out is the only answer
Hope this helps
Let it drain all the way to null..so you can't even turn it on. Then charge up fully and it should last much longer. Or flash only with 100% on battery. I've had this a coupla times with new flashes on 60 or 70% battery. I'll drain it down and charge it up and battery life is back to normal.

What u mean drain? 2-3 hrs less or more? My battery life is normal it doesn’t mater witch ROM I’m Flashing. Do as Scrog saying is good idea
I think I know what jcute means...
My dopod is occasionally going from a full charge to empty sometimes during the night. I *think* it only occurs when Edge is connected (I haven't really studied it thoroughly).
If this is the same problem, a full charge will not help.
I'm currently using radio version 1.40.30.00. I'm going to try upgrading it to see if it improves the situation. jcute: which radio rom do you have installed?

Hi all,
I have been experiencing with different ROM'OS and radio versions, I am finally with Faman's 3.2 release and 1.46.00.11 for the radio. I read that the autonomy is around 200hours in GSM mode and about 180 in UMTS.
My question : Does anyone reach those numbers ? I mean, I have just activated direct push (via emoze) and since 8 AM I am already at 50% with only about 15mins of phone calling and 30min of mp3 listening plus something like 10 emails received and it's only 4:30 PM. At this rate, by tomorrow morning the battery will be empty, are you guys in the same situation ? Do we really need to charge the device every day when using direct push ? I beleive I have good cover in my office (4 bars + 3G) even though I moved quite alot in the building today, still, I don't think blackberrys need to be charged that often..
What do you think ?
Have a good day everyone !
Since I have been using (cooked) WM6, I have been unable to reach those numbers. I have an active 3G connection with HSDPA and my battery would have to be charged after 48 hrs. But, I'm using it for business puproses so it is my cradle most of the time. Anyway, using bepe's .76 ROM and 1.46.00.11 RADIO. Tried many other combinations, none utilizes the battery better than the orginal HTC WM5 rom/radio.
Let's just hope that HTC will at some point release a wm6 something for our P3600s then because that's really a killer :/

I would be interested to hear your experiences with MARY 1.2 and the same Radio. (1.46.00.11) I'm getting the best battery life (even better than WM5) with this combo. MARY 2.0 killed my battery - and I had problems with the battery with some of the latest bepe ROMs - bepe is a legend tho - think it's the core being used. Let me know.
Ok, so my battery basically lasted 14hours in active 3G mode. Pretty cool Do we know if it's because of the ROM os or more the radio ?

OK, already flashed to another ROM. Havinf problems with ActiveSync and my HSDPA. One thing is sure though: this ROM is very good for the battery!

I think he's talking about MARY V1.2 with radio 1.46.00.11. It's the best battery combo I've tried and a lightning quick ROM IMHO. I'm currently cooking myself a ROM from it - and will release if hellonasty is OK with that.

Hi,
I have got the best ever battery timing on my Galaxy W. Currently I am not rooted so no under clocking. I am using the stock ROM. I got more than 4 days of single full recharge.
I think picture says all.
Thanks

Its just an unrooted Asian stock ROM ( JP). I tried almost every stock ROM but found this one very good for battery.
I thing important here that I calibrated the battery in the usual way common to all android set.
Its still remaining 20% so the total time would be about 4.5 days, and its good enough for me.

How about wifi, data network, bluetooth, gaming? these are the most power consuming events.

Off-course they are very little in my case. Actually I was in the search of best ROM (specially region specific base-band/radio) that conserve very little power and this Rom meets my requirements.
Games will be taking his own battery share if played. But at least the base-band/radio is not eating up the battery and that was my point.

haha~actually the base-band doesnt affect so much. If u keep ur phone within those "strong" signal coverage region (not rural areas or basement), the power consumption will be lesser.
Theoretically, our phone is able to give u 17-18 hrs for 2G call assuming u use pure stock rom w/o additional apps installed.

Well in my experience I have seen different power consumption pattern on different radios/basebands' specially in htc sets.I also observed heat and power consumption on different radios while the signal level is constant. And I noticed it was the same case with Sammy. I tried different regions stock Rom and found the Asian one bes for power consumption.

I don't know the exact difference that whether its in baseband or kernel.
Any developer should explain that what is the difference between Asian and European Roms except the CSC.
Thanks

Hi guys ,
hi have a big problem with battery life , i use AOKP build 4 and i tried a lot of roms e and a lot of kernels , but the battery runs out at 15;00 ... i don't know why , i try to wipe everithing but nothing , i want to activate data al day and arrive in the evening with still battery... any advices???
Bring a charger
On the real, if it's that important I'd suggest an extended battery. I use the free 2100 mAh and barley get through a day. Turning data off does make a big difference in consumption though. One thing I noticed, Lean Kernel does well for battery life.

Should have been posted in Q&A too.
Juice Defender will manage your LTE/cell radio for you. It's made my atrix's battery go up by like 10 hours a day.
After reading all these positive comments about the stock kernel regarding battery life, I guess I don't even bother with all the other Kernels...
i just flashed my samsung galaxy wonder to have CM-10.1 alpha6 a few days ago. and i realised that it drain battery very fast.. just simply fully charge it to 100% and left there with wifi, bluetooth and all applications off, yet the battery drained in half day..
if open 3G, the battery drain 30% in 20 minutes.
can sumeone tell me what's the problem and how can i solve it? thx a lots
Why don't you try to flash another kernel..
I personally recommend kernel by hurtsky, or by castagnaIT.
that's only my opinion..
you're welcome to try..

first, how old is your battery?
older than 1 yr, u should try getting a new battery.
mine was 1.4 yr old, battery drain when play game lasted 5 mins from fully charge to zero.

Well..
It's just the same way like how you flashed the cm10.1 rom..
Try to head to this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218087
There's also an instruction on a proper way to flash it..
And don't forget to thanks him if you like his kernel
CM10.1 aka Android 4.2.2 uses higher voltage compared to CM10 and CM9(especially CM9).
So its understandable. But in CM10.1, SGW can use 1.0Ghz and still fluently do a lot of things.
Try underclocking and undervolting.

agree..alpha 6 still not in revert kernel..maybe your lcd is the main cause drain your battery..

I have CM 10.2 everythings is ok..battery consumption is depends from life time of your battery then the number of apps and services activated...
Change to new battery
hmmm.... maybe it's because of your battery.. from my experience , you should buy new battery if the battery is used more than 1 year... i had experinced before when my battery drain faster, after i bought new battery.. the problem solved...
Guys. Stop telling him it´s the battery. If it were the battery the draining would be already that fast before flashing CM10.1, but not just after.
A bloated and aged battery can of course be the reason, but this doesn´t have to be always the case. My stock Samsung battery is already 2 years old but working like new. However I have to admit that I don´t use it that often. Having here 3 batteries I´m changing them regulary every few months.
This draining will be more related to the LCD version in his phone, which he should read about and check before flashing a CM10.1 based rom. Additionally the recent Google updates can cause even more battery drain than the LCD Rev.3 issue alone, which has to be taken also into account.
