i recently install alot of program on my hermes but its not in the Remove program.most of the program is packed with in the ROM so i need a program that can let me uninstall programs that i dont need.
thanks!
You can't un install anything cooked into the rom... It nwould have to be a NBS ROM to be able to do that. Sorry...
Cheers...
If the ROM you want has apps you don't need, see if you can find a naked version of that rom, or something else like it...

Hi,
is there any way to get pure WM6 ROM, with no addons, no extroms - only WM6 OS and nothing else ?
And is it possible to extract (or get somewhere) separate .cab files for applications that come with various cooked ROMs ? (HTC touch app, Comm manager, ...)
thx a lot,
m.
When You upgrade to any WM6, the update procedure writes also the ext.rom, and later on the addons will be installed from the exrom. To avoid that, make a hardreset, and when the screen appears, that the addons would be installed within .. seconds, make a soft reset. With ExtRom_utility, You can make this rom visible, and You can backup the files located in the exrom to your PC.
I flashed a WM 6.5 rom to my MDA Compact III, but I want to go back to the original HTC WM 6.1 ROM that was on it.
I downloaded that, but I don't want all the stuff, just the OS.
Im going to flash it, but when do I exacly need to do the resets?
Or can I just delete the ExtROM, or whats in it?

I flashed it and I saw wat you meaned.

You can use HTCRIE to edit RUU_signed.nbh from WM6 ROM , then you can add or reduce the applications that you deem necessary Good Luck
Wow guys, this topic is like, 4 years old! I really appreciate the fact that you use the search function, but still, if a thread is older than a YEAR and there hasn;t been a post in it, create a new thread.
But if the thread has nothing to do with ROM development, as in this case, post the question in General.
I'm closing this.
Need some advice.
I did look in the forum but couldn't find an answer to my question(s)
1 - I'm looking for a ROM which is stripped to the bone with only what is necessary for the Hermes to function as a phone with Bluetooth and WiFi.
I don't want to install office, voice command etc. just want to run a view programs like setup operator, pocket informant, opera, phonesuite, mobile shell and pocket breeze.
2 - Is it also possible to to build this into a ROM or do I need to install this after a new install manually.
For the commercial programs it's not the intention to install these programs cracked, I have a licence for all those progs so filling in my serials after installation is no problem.
To answer your first question, it is best to install a Clean rom, there are many of them around. Shadow and Faria seem to be the most popular. Have a play with them and if they are not stable enough for you then try a WM6 one, Shamanix rom also worked well. My fav WM6 rom was Berds SS_1-25. It was the bare minumim and worked flawlessly. Only my opinion.
For the second, just download the cab files for them and keep them on your storage card. There is no problem with installing them into the rom after the update is complete.
Happy flashing...
I did a search for Berds SS_1-25 in the forum but couldn't find it. Do you have a link to it?

6.0 rom
Search BlackDragon... he made a sweet 6.0 rom with 85 freekin megs free.... very bony rom
very quick also.. 6.1 go with a new pdviet rom
IMHO the lightest is Pandora naked for WM6.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365604&highlight=pandora+naked
PDviet build 19900 is clean ROM. B&C and G&C has very few apps included.
You can also cancel the extended ROM setup and get a clean install of any ROM
thnx for the reply's.
Now I only like to know if it is possible to build the commercial programs into a rom.
anyone?
Hello everyone..
I recently installed a ROM that came with office mobile already installed. Since this is a Manilla ROM i need every bit of storage available, and i would like to uninstall office mobile, so i can install it again in the sd card.
Is there any way to do this (uninstall it completely)?
I searched a lot for info about this but couldnt find any.
Thanks
If it is cooked into the ROM, you can't uninstall it. You can search for some of the lite/clean ROM's here that don't include Office. This is the newest lite ROM that I use.

Thank mikehippe. I already tried V8 of the joshkoss's ROM, but honestly i needed something more stable.
Now im using ROM 3.62.502.19 (Manila2D) HERMES wich is the best Manilla Rom i've tested. This Rom comes with office installed, so thats why i was asking about how to uninstall it.
Thanks again
If I do hard reset, then after the first boot I immediately do soft reset before the diamond installing tf3d, will I get a rom without tf3d installed?
I'd like to try out different shell programs.
Thank you in advance
Noti Lad
No that is not possible, but why dont you go to settings->today > and deactivate TFLO3D?? Or you can cook a rom without tfl3d
There are also many precooked roms available without tf3d like Morna's or Hikari.
i think it does
i did the same thing and i get a clean rom without tf3d

very interesting? tell me more about that? so the tflo just disappeared completely, dont think so. If TFLO is precent in the rom you cant get it out, the only way is to cook the rom or take a cooked clean rom without Tflo. So like i told before you can only disable it
Thanks for the replies. I will try it tomorrow to find out. I hope it won't brick the diamond.
I know there are some cooked clean ROMs. But I think it's handy to have TF3d in the rom just in case I want it back, then I just need to do Hard-reset instead of reflashing.
Pls tell us!
And when to press softreset?
I would like to have a clean 2.03 but i dont use any tflo.

actualy tf3d is still on the device and you wan't need a hard reset to get it back just locate PT_Manila_REG.cab in windows folder and run it and you have tf3d running.. the softreset before customazation will also prevent opera from instaling
hey gullum nice to see u here
i used ur rom when for my ex-prophet
yeah, basically the tf3d is still in your phone but not visible/cant be activated in today plugin (but u can delete leftover manila files using resco/total commander just if u want more free space)
this also prevent opera from installing, but lots of new version in this forum u can get
still,u can find those cab files in windows or by using 3rd party software like memmaid
i did soft reset before the customisation takes place
hi guys....i dont know anything about htc artemis...i mean...if needs some kiind of unlock...or etc....i want to flash a new custom or original rom... wm 6.5 or 7... or android if its possible...but i want greek language....can anyone help me.. pls..?
I need details pls...because as i said i dont know anything...the only experience i have is with the samsung galaxy s 2 that i own... thanks
If I remember correctly, you should at first unlock your Artemis with USPL. Stick to the instructions and nothing bad should happen.
Then choose a ROM from here and install it (there should be instructions how to do this in ROM's thread or in readme.txt).
You can't flash Android or Windows Phone 7 on this device - it's just too weak. Of course, there were some guys who tried to port Android, it booted, yeah, but only few things worked (calling and touchscreen :E, no wifi, gps, audio) and it was very slow.
There are some WinMo 6.5 roms, but I wouldn't recommend them - on my P3300 they were usable, fully working, but kinda slow, so I flashed back to 6.1.
Check some ROMs and choose the one that you think will work the best.
Oh. Remember: before flashing remove SIM and SD card, and after that, do a hard reset.
If you still have any questions or you're unsure about something, ASK. We will not kill you and you will not brick your Artem.
thanks my friend.....ur the best....i ll try it when i ll be in home.... of course i want full fuctions of the phone...gps..wifi and etc....so...i ll try 6.1...or 6.5...or 7.. XD but what about greek language...is there a hope to find something ?
Have a look on the forums, there are multilanguage ROMs here. I'm pretty sure you will find at least one with greek language.
Also you won't find Windows 7 roms, Artemis is too weak for this.
i was thinking about a little overclocking...so that it can run the os
thx man i ll check it.... another question...when i finish the unlocking...with uspl...i must flash the rom immediatle...i mean this process erasing the rom...or i can open it again with my old rom....and then flash a new rom..?
No worries, you don't have to flash new ROM right away. USPL just unlocks your phone, it doesn't delete your old ROM.
But you should make a backup of everything, like contacts etc. because flashing new ROM erases everything.
About greek ROMs - I haven't found any, but I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336252
oooooooooooooooooooo my friend your the best....thats better....cause i can use it in every rom.... XDDD !!!
Well... I wouldn't be so sure about that. It's old and it may be not compatible with WM6/6.5. It's worth trying though.
