I'm still running Marks 6.1 vanilla generic rom but theres no Usb To Pc control panel app (settings -> connections). Anyone have/know where to get a cab?

I use Windows Live to sync my Hotmail-emails with outlook mobile. But in newer Roms (duttys 2.X) i have no sound notification if a new email arrived. in my standard o2 germany rom there was a notification.
maybe i have only in standby mode no notification but this sucks really.
maybe someone can help me please. thank you!
Hmm, in the standard ROM this is changeable. If you go to Start -> Settings -> SOunds and Notifications, then click the notifications tab on the bottom, it should have an 'Events' scroll down menu. Select 'Messaging: New Email Message' and change the sound by changing 'Ring Tone'? I think that should work, havent tried Duttys ROM though XD

I'm running into the same thing. I recently upgraded to HTC's latest Rom for the Touch HD 1.56 and now I'm not getting the email notification. I have it in settings to notify as usual but I get nothing.

no that doesnt work. =( the sound i select does not appear if a email arrives.
Hello guys,
After a long search on the web I can't find the answer to "How to create a control panel shortcut on Windows Mobile".
Out of the box, our Rhodium are packaged with a "Settings" shortcut in the start menu which links to the Settings tab of Manilla. I find this annoying, if i want to go to the manilla settings, i use manilla not the start menu.
So I want a direct link to Windows' control panel. I've seen many ways to link to a specific applet, but not the whole control panel.
Anyone can help ?
PS : Also I'm looking for the HTCSettings.exe file stored in every Rhodium (WM6.5 version)... I've accidentally deleted it :/

I am not sure I understand the question, but I think what you want is to be running TouchFLO instead of Windows Default.. If that is correct, the solution is simple. Click Start>Settings>ToDay>Items>TouchFLO 3D>OK>X and you should have it. What you want is to be running TouchFLO instead of Windows Default.

what he is saying is that he wants to got to the control panel or "settings" from the start menu, when you hit start and then settings it takes you to manilla settings
What annoys me is that the Bluetooth and Today screen prefs are ONLY available through the Windows CPL, things like QuickMenu don't see them..

Okay guys, I figured out how to solve this problem by hanging around in the registry !
How to change the "Settings" icon in the Start Menu to make it open WM's Control Panel rather than Manilla's settings panel ?
- First go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and remove (or move) the file HTC Settings.exe
- Then go to the registry \HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo and change the value HideSettings from 1 to 0
- Reboot your device, it's done !
I am trying to change the 'Settings' button in the Start Menu to open the WM Control Panel instead of the Manila settings, however, the \HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo key does not exist in my registry. Is there another way to link to the Control Panel? Thanks!

Thank-you a million times! Just installed something that crashed my HTC Sense, and couldn't for the life of me work out how to get to Remove Programs so I could un-install it! I now have my phone back, without having to go down the hard-reset route which I'd feared was my only option.
you could do as htc intended and clicked "all settings" on the settings tab for those manila doesnt cover.
Which would have worked brilliantly....had I been able to get to the settings tab in the first place.
With Sense freezing, I had to run the 'change my background' option from 'Getting Started' to get into the Today options and disable Sense. Then use the tips in this thread to get the Settings folder back on my Start Menu. Normally I would have used the All Settings option, but couldn't in this case, and it's funny how much you don't realise is missing from a start menu....until you need it!
Do you know any WiFi trigger that I can add in the Programs tab of TouchFlo 3D 2.1?
I've downloaded a few - AE Wifi Trigger i think is one - but they don't show up in the list of available programs that you can choose from when adding smth in the Programs tab.

Maybe I'vemissed a thread or so, but I haven't seen a post on this in regards to the new AT&T Tilt 2 ROM:
I can't seem to get the clock to show on the title bar during programs. I've use the HTC Tweeks and BsB Tweeks with no results. I know you could do this with the original ROM. (I know I've seeb some posts RE: the task manager on the title bar, but I haven't had success with that either. I've put the task manager as the first spot in my program quicklinks.)
Any progress by anyone else?

I'm still a WinMo phone newbie, but I think you'd need a custom taskbar or something to retain the battery indicator with the taskbar clock.
I like to use VistaHide Battery Gauge that uses a colored line just 1mm or so on the very top of the screen anyway. (I don't have my phone with me right now or I'd do a screen shot for ya!) So that's why I prefer having the clock. And the VistaHide program shows while in most programs.
All I had to do was copy the file into the "Devise --> Windows --> Start-Up" folder.
aspromalee: duh, me too. was tring to use 'Advanced Config'. I don't like the way that HTC have some settings, and then you forget about the duplicate of settings under 'all settings' which are sometimes different to the HTC ones. Sorry, rant over. Love my HTC. Stupid me!

i know there is data controller,but i have spb shell i simple want a toggle similar at wi-fi,or plane,etc...

Have you tried the hd connection toggle switches, there is a gprs toggle in there too

Hola, in that case, you´d need to search for it in spb threads, either here in Mini Section or in HD2 section Cause everything else will be either "hidden" in start menu or might not work. You´ll need a specific toggle for SPB or set the app (like dataController) as quicklink in SPB (if you want it to look like a toggle, just replace the apps png or check registry for icon path for exe)

hi,already put datacontroller how quicklink but i ll want some which no need enter in a program,and then select on/off and then finally close the app.
I'll like a button,directly in spb ,how plane,bluetooth,wi-fi buttons.
that because if im at work i need to be fast to on and off data( yes ok i must'nt use phone at work i know).
time ago i found an app with u can say,at what time,or frequency ,of start WiFi phone and bluetooth but missed GPRS damn...
