ok,im sorry if i post in wrong forum..( but i think this is the correct one.. )
1st,for who dont know what gpsp is,i will give the info. All info was taken from gp2x wiki.
gpSP is a GBA emulator, ported by ZodTTD (the original emulator for PSP was by Exophase, who is now a major contributor to the gpSP2X project). It can only play gameboy advance games.no gb and gbc at this moment.
Many games already run very fast at 200mhz with sound and some frameskip.
gpsp have been ported to motorola linux phone (montavista linux) by a great developer oopsware.it run very smooth with good sound eventho the phone specs not good as nowadays phone.
so,i have a question here,is it possible to port to windows mobile?i can see many talented developer here develop very2 great application.i hope this one also can be done.i know we already have a good gba emulator, but we need a new one.
I attach the newest source code here for our developers.
Im a gba addict.lol
Thanks.
bump!still no one interested?
I'm kinda interested. It's no use really. Most gba emulators run pretty fast. I would be interested in a faster PS1 emulator now that would be cool.
this gpsp run very fast and smooth with great sound.our present gba emu run fast and smooth but not good at sound.
Will this work on a wing as it is now?

this thing already work on wing?
Is that an answer or question?
that was a question.lol
Oh, o.k. lol
Im not a programmer, but I wish there would be more interest in console emulators for the pocket pcs...
So many good consoles out there with excelent games, and lets face it, there are very very few great games for ppc...
gba (a better one)
psx1 (version 0.10 is rumorred to come for years now)
sega cd
n-gage (yes!)
nds
etc...
yea,i aggree twofl.there should be a better games emulator for ppc compared to symbian and linux.
Hi all, just to let you known I just compiled gpsp for wince, after couple of changes. The program runs, but more work has to be done to get roms running... I got lucky that it uses SDL
I will post more information if I can get something useful out of it...
thanks!
Let us know when youll need betatesters.
Brilliant. Keep it up.

bump! maybe nop can help to port this?
So no updates GBA emulator runs slow on our phones so if this thing runs fast even with sound at 200mh then its a great emulator and I hope it gets released soon

Is it possible to install and run g-sen enabled iPhone games on Touch HD ???
Only thing in iPhone which is beating touch Hd hands down are the games available for iphone . One of my colleague is rubbing it in all the time by showing amazing games on iPhone which is not possible on WinMo devices like diamond/pro or now HD.
games
Not sure if there are any games like that, but show him the things HD can do that iphone cant do. My daughter has an iphone, she doesnt play games, but other things such as tons of programs, Tom Tom are just a few. She walks away....
Oh yeah, thats also my question. I had seen on an IPhone of my friend "Super Monkey Ball". I fell completely in love with this game... But for sure, I'll by a Touch HD, can I port this game for windows mobile? Or does it exist already this game for wm? I really want this game.. Or at least, knows anyone here something equal? Greez, cad^^
I don't think it will be possible to port the games - besides the different Operating Systems there is one mayor difference in using the games -> MultiTouch
Yes, but for example "super monkey ball" doesn't use the touchscreen at all (besides for the menue, but this isn't multitouch), its a game only for the g-sensor. So, wouldn't it be possible to play the same game on the touch HD? Its suuuch a great game, really!!! Please, is there some hope? Greez, cad^^

Actually both even have similar processors, but the main problem is they run different operating systems, so if you dont port the application itself you would need some kind of emulator which might not only exceed the present processing power but also might not offer the same experience as if run natively.

Or would it not be possible for someone to figure out how to run Iphone OS on HD? Or is that even possible?
With a screen with twice the pixels than the iphone don't spect the HD to be able to move the screen on games smooth like iphone.I think only games using 3d aceleration can be smoother.... And why is not a Direct 3D standard on WM ?
I really like the bowling game on the iPhone. Is there an equivalent for WM?
Im interested in this to. If we currently cant port iphone games, then what games out there take advantage of the g-sensor and 3D drivers inside of the blackstone? It has to be more then tweeter.
hi !!
Is there any news about that...because to be honnest, I'm a little bit disapointed by HTC... I thought that more games would came for it...
Games!
Yep there don't appear to be any good games, the current crop such as machines at war or call of duty 2 have various bugs because of the high resolution. Apparently the hd actually has a custom graphics chip that HTC wont allow developers to access.
I wish someone could make HTC understand that with this screen if there were games comparable to the iphone the HD would have mass market appeal and blow the iphone away.
yah!!!
That is exactly what I also think... lets wait and see, maybe they need more time
an iphone emulator for hd
hi guys
there are some issue that we should notice :
1. i think we as developers should take participate in this and make emulator to run the iphone gamse on blackstone , waiting for game companies to figure it out is not a good way.
2. the multi touch problem will resolve in WM7 , so just be a little more patient fo it.
3. blackstone really need some thing to resolve this problem , if there is not , iphone will win.
4. please come together to make it right.
thanx all
Unfortunately, an iphone emulator is out of the question -- the two devices are too similar in processing power for one to be able to emulate the other. Running the iphone OS is also unlikely, given how much trouble there is even with running Android. All we can hope for are native ports of games, which, given the current market trend towards the iphone app store (e.g. warfare inc.), is unlikely.
i dont know ive i may post them and ive its freeware but i have a lot of games/funny stuff for the blackstone
dont know ive i may post it because i got it from somewhere else and i think some programs are cracked ive a mod can help ill upload it somewhere and send the link to you so the mod can check ive i may post it

porting games == having the sourcecode and doing the changes required for it to run on another platform
2 problems with iphone source code which makes it hard to port
1. it's objectiveC rather then c++ / c or c# which are the languages more used on wm
2. it use cocoa the apple version of .net kinda which don't exist on wm
another option is
redoing the whole game
writing it from scratch but thats a lot of work
i think ms has done a good job of persuading devvers to jump ship from iphone to winmo. i think that, by wm7, gaming will be far more commonplace on windows mobile.
games
Well there is a website with some pretty good freeware games. This is the link
www.krenisiswinmobilegamesapps.com
Has games like supermariobros, metalslug, and canabalt. They are all freeware but they are pretty fun.
Hello
It would be difficult to do such a port? I
ask because the current gba emulators
are weak. I do not mean speed, because it is good,
but the functions that had the same as
vba on pc. What do you think?
What do i think...
Since HTC domination theres noone that can write ANY emulator(besides of fpsece and scummvm, but this is other story).
All about that.
(just voice of old PDA emu-fanatic)
time to move onto maemo, or Pandora...WM is unevitably dead soon.
sing with me, man:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHFK1yKfiGo
hint: imagine iphone as "the Killer" here, and "blue bus" as wp7 and focking market. black background is made of HD2 users.
But would do something new.
Morphgear is slow and lacks pocketgba
few functions such as save the record.
Sv0, 1, etc., and that were generally
better. Vba are from the pc.
I say again: actually, there's NOONE that would make ANY emulator for WM.
Reasons:
- 100% of emus are quickly warez-ed(=no cash for maker),
- whole rest(of community) is busy with manila/sense skinning...
- it is rare thing to find skilled programmer/fanatic of emulators novadays.
And i am serious here.
btw, did you check pocketgba? Its FAR better for emulation than morphgear, unfortunately, it has problems with current shi..i mean devices.
Vba are from the pc.

Please, i do know what vba is. it was even ported to gp2x years ago.
but
not
for
ppc's.
Seriously - i would like to see that post as stimulant for some skilled programmer, but i am CERTAIN this WON'T work.
Room's empty already.
It seems that the desire has the ability to run really decent games and yet football management games especially, are few and far between. There seems to be a demand for them but there just are not any decent ones out there. Ive tried MYFC, and RF2009 Manager but they are quite weak. The Android market has the potential to be as big, if not bigger than Apple but the choice of games in select areas are virtually non existent. I know everyone does not want the same thing but while I enjoy games that are arcade play, the simulation side is selective to say the least. Taking away a decent football management game, what about a horse racing game - nothing, a decent flight sim game - nothing. I know at the end of the day the Desire is a phone, but while cartoony games are enjoyable, some of us like something more in depth. It's just frustrating at the moment and I do appreciate there are developers working hard to bring us games and we, as an Android community, are grateful. I would just like to see a bit more for us strategists Take nothing away though, I think the Desire is an amazing phone and the market is growing at a tremdous speed so its all looking good.

You may be pleased to know that on the flight simulator front, x-plane for Android is on the verge of being released.
I have e-mailed the developer but cannot pin them to an exact release date but video demos of this are readily available if you google it.
It looks AWESOME!!
Thanks bobsie41, that's what I'm talking about. Showing the phone off to what it can play both visually and in depth. It really looks amazing, can't wait for that to be released If you can show me a football management game in that depth of capacity then I will be happy

im an SGS user but im in the camp of wanting a decent manager game for android, i would love somthing like an old CM game (i.e. 01/02) to be playable with a decent update.
ive been trying to find old ps1 games to run on psx4droid but the text on psx4droid always seems to be an issue so i cant get any of them to run well.
i think ill look into GBA and even Genesis/Snes if i have to just to pass the wait until we get somthing decent.

I did not create this app I just cabbed it and did work on the reg. Games can be played in landscape mode to the right or left. Transperency works. Very fast!
Install both cab files. Will not work on some keyboards unless you turn off T9.

Works great with this app that lets you use a Wiimote or PS3 controller as a bluetooth gamepad.

I made this for the TP2 to be used with the TVOUT function but it will work on all resolutions.
if it works where can i download the roms for it??
or do i dont need it???
And for the ones interested here's the homepage (source for this build is included).
I haven't played much with emulators on my PDA (frankly the state of emulation on the platform is depressing... but then again so is the state of everything else). Not even sure which version is the best...
For anyone interested here are more builds:
PocketSNES by emu193 (?)
PocketSNES by n0p
SnesGo/PocketSNES by rlei (no sources available)
PocketSNES (the father of all these mods)

The roms are 100% legal to download and play if he already owns the game cartridge or the rom is a game someone created like many of the super mario hacks. You have no clue if he owns super nintendo cartridges so it is wrong to assume he is gonna partake in illegal activity. So I will go ahead and recomend ********.

You gotta be joking, right? It bothers me beyond belief when people try to get smart about things that are as clear as day. With that same reasoning, you should be able to post links for every piece of music, film, and software ever created because you can assume that people are indeed in possession of said materials.
Congratulations. You just earned yourself a vacation from this site for breaking rules and for posting warez even after a warning not even directed to you.

No they are not. Some games are in the public domain, and can be posted here and linked to any public domain (pd) rom site. Copyrighted material is different. In this case of games.. You would still need to back up your own games with your own dumping hardware. And with the US DCMA, even backing up your own games with your own hardware is a grey area. (Due to the fact that you are purchasing a license to a game, and not the physical game itself. Look at any EA license.)
Downloading is always a no-no. No matter what that BS TOS/disclaimer says on some rom site. The right to back up what you have is your responsibility and can not be downloaded.
Me backing up my own CD -- Legal.
Me downloading a copy of a CD I own -- Illegal.
(of course this is a simple example, cracking protection schemes is another legal story all together.)
On Topic: Ive found, although not perfect, morphgear is the best for snes emulation. Theres also a few versions of LJP (little-john palm os) which iirc became LJX and got ported to a few different platforms. I know I used to use one version on my old Treo 750. So there have to be a few WM versions out there. Currently cant find any. Will see if I can find any old data backups from my Treo 750.
If anyone wants free, legal roms for snes... http://www.pdroms.de/files/supernes/
i always see gba emulators for a lot of phones but i dont see one that fit perfectly to vogue.. i need a emulator that can be played with touch screen, i really want to play some games from this console.. if anyone help me with that...
Firstly, this is the wrong forum to post this question in. General Vogue discussion is more appropriate.
When you talk about seeing "a lot" of GBA emulators, are you specifically referring to Windows Mobile? As far as I know, there is only one for WinMo...
PocketGBA
http://www.sunbug.net/products/emul/PocketGBA.html
Made for PocketPC2002 (and devices much older than ours), this runs fine on my Vogue. No on-screen d-pad, but you can use the phones dpad and program any of the buttons to act as GBA buttons in combination with the on-screen GBA buttons.
My only quirk so far, aside from some frame skips, is that my dpad does "stick" a little when using this emulator; though it is entirely possible it is because my Vogue has seen quite a bit of use.
This emulator is only for GBA roms though.
Attached is the cab for a GB/GBC emulator: pocketGnuboy.
It's performance is much better than pocketGBA (as it should be), and I prefer it a little more. It's a great emulator.
sorry for my bad posting... ill be fitting to the right posting rules in my next post..=)...
and when i reffer to gba emulator i mean in general for phones... but anyways thanks
