I was wondering if anyone has a good alarm program to use. It seems to me as if the alarm that comes with the phone is fairly shady because at times it tends to ring at different times...
Also, one with a snooze type of deal would be awesome. Thank you everyone.
I do but since you ripped my programs out of my signature and put them as your own i won't share it. Sorry not trying to be a jerk you've always been really cool to me but you should have at least given me credit for the collection man, you got me all bummed out now : (
Hey sorry man my bad... I gave you credit now in my sig... I am really sorry about that bro...
hit me up man, i got a few you can try...
Thanks for this guys...
I really like the native alarm app that comes with the blackjackII, it even has a weekly calendar where you check off the days and select the times, its nice
I use pTravelAlarm.
Its very nice, has a digital clock reading, you can choose what sound you want to play..and you can set the snooze to whatever time interval you want..i use 5 minutes.
PM me if you want to "test" it

Costs money but it's the only one I know of that does, never looked for one.
There is a free trial, but it's only a day or two.

You might want to take a looke at this one, it's only $3(US):

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I did email the author asking if it could be set to ring indefinitely:

There is such option there - see Options/Playback Time, just set it to Infinite.

Ok, i dont know about anyone else but im getting fed up with the standard ringtones, message tones, notifications etc etc.
This can be the thread where we all contribute to getting everyone some decent sounds on there Hermes!
Feel free to add any sounds for any purpose, im sure someone will appriciate yours!
LoL.. I see you hooked up on rings..
Well.. here I will share mine.. I got a lot more but those can`t be shared since they are commercial..
But the free ones I collected are here..
There is a folder named "Made by Shamanix".. in there are rings that I`ve made out of couple of songs that I like very much ( music that I personally listen to )
They are kinda little too big ( only 2 of them ), but I am not in the mood to edit them now..
Tell me what you think

Enjoy..
Theres some good ones in there matey! The msg one is good but a bit long lol.
Started the thread well!
nice thread... err... i will find some nice ones too and post it here
Here's a little something...
...I put together a while back. It is also a bit large, but it works as a ringtone, and also as an alarm from within PhoneAlarm (where I use it to let me know when my train has arrived at my station).
It is a small clip from the Dark Side of the Moon Album by Pink Floyd ... many of you might remember the bells/clocks sequence just before the song "Time".
That album was always one of my favs, and as such, I clipped this out to use as an alarm.
Hopefully, I'm not breaking any copyright laws by posting it here. If I am, PLEASE Mods, go ahead and delete it.

I like the Nokia dead one.
But does anyone have the same concept but for a regular old school telephone ring?
Anybody back up their WM5 rings?
I'm missing some of the stock WM5 rings (like "fantasy" which I used for phone calls). Maybe someone out there backed up their WM5 files? Or can somehow upload some of the stock from their prior build?
The Windows Mobile Extras site has some free ones that are alright. I use the Halo theme from there. It's much fun.
here some i made for me and the wifey..about 30 of them. Also included 2 message tones: Homer "mail call" and star trek's "incoming transmission

Rename to .wma for the 24 CTU ringtone

When I get around to it I'll stick some up that I've found....
Such as R2D2? Robin Williams GMV holler, some of the simpsons and that sort of stuff
But I could do with some basic rings too
Hi, hopefully this is an easy request..... I want a countdown timer for my phone that will do an alarm after a prset time - say 2 3 or 4 minutes - I know I can set the alarm but I don't want to do that each time - does any one know of a timer app that will countdown please and then alarm please ? Thanks in advance for any help.
hello mate,
the perfect application IMHO is G-watch made by ageye. it's really to find it on the forum but if you don't check www.ageye.de This man has done killer apps and you should take a look at G-alarm too!
enjoy!
I am using Mystopwatch: http://mylostblog.altervista.org/en/my-software/mystopwatch/mystopwatch-1542/
It does work well. Very simple to use. Great for cooking eggs!
Hi there,
From my Blackstone days I had a file and reg edit to create "multiple snooze" options for notifications.
So when your alarm or notification goes off, you could click the menu and choose to snooze in 5, 10, 15 etc minutes.
The only downside is that it removes the HTC big view of the notification, you get a Windows mobile default, which to be honest I prefer. This is only for notifications though, you know the message that appears on screen, nothing else, everything else stays the same.
I can make a cab which would make it totally installable / uninstallable if you like. Depends how many want it...
Excellent idea
Would these options be configurable? Would be much appreciated!
hi there,
no they would be the default Windows Mobile ones which the Htc Notifiations removes, think they are 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes.
I would be interested!
thank you
hi all, this has already been done. I've downloaded the cab already - couldn't find the thread, but it is on here.
I find the alarm on my HTC Pro 2 to be quite unreliable. The phone tends to crash for no apparent reason when sitting on the charger. I haven't fully investigated yet, but it seems to be often crashing at 1:55am whenever an alarm is specified the next morning :S
Having said that, I would like the option of having multiple snoozes to choose from. It's just so annoying my alarm clock crashes. Not good for waking up!
What I really need !!
I would be interested too! I miss this option very hard.
@martinjclarke: could you please look again or tell us the name of the cab-file to look for it
Thanks to all who help to solve this!

I've always wished the notifications COULD be tweaked - why in the world don't the Snooze options mirror those in Outlook? There are WAY too few options in Windows Mobile! How about 8 hours, for those things that might go off at 8am, and you would like to be reminded at the end of the workday?? Or many of the other options available on the Desktop version of Outlook...
Matt
I haven't seen this one before, but it may well be able. You usually find that things are duplicated in all forums as people create the same things as they have the same ideas.
I'll get it posted on here later then for people who want it.
it may have been this one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3716251&postcount=2280
that's the name of the cab file I used anyway - and it works a treat. Can go back to constantly snoozing reminders by one hour and never getting any work done!
Works great except it didn't keep the HTC notification screen
Works great except it didn't keep the HTC notification screen, it's using the regular Windows one. Not a big deal, but doesn't look as slick. But thanks so much for the fix, HTC/TMobile missed that one big time. Nothing I dislike more than losing functionality when i upgrade.
Have you ever been in a crowded noisy place, and someone tried to call you, but you couldn't hear you own phone? Here is a cute little ringtone than will set you apart. Its that classic really irritating car alarm sound. I recorded this myself, and converted it into a ogg file.
http://tvnservices.com/car_alarm_ogg.ogg
Here's a another you might like. It's from LMFAO.
http://tvnservices.com/LMFAO - Everybody Shuffling.ogg
sent from someone who's NOT using an iPhone.
edit: I corrected the url above.. Sorry guys.
I won't use it but you deserve a Thanks just for effort...lol
I use these ringtones and like them. Thanks
The car alarm for the wife and the other one for everyone else lol
