Ok, i dont know about anyone else but im getting fed up with the standard ringtones, message tones, notifications etc etc.
This can be the thread where we all contribute to getting everyone some decent sounds on there Hermes!
Feel free to add any sounds for any purpose, im sure someone will appriciate yours!
LoL.. I see you hooked up on rings..
Well.. here I will share mine.. I got a lot more but those can`t be shared since they are commercial..
But the free ones I collected are here..
There is a folder named "Made by Shamanix".. in there are rings that I`ve made out of couple of songs that I like very much ( music that I personally listen to )
They are kinda little too big ( only 2 of them ), but I am not in the mood to edit them now..
Tell me what you think

Enjoy..
Theres some good ones in there matey! The msg one is good but a bit long lol.
Started the thread well!
nice thread... err... i will find some nice ones too and post it here
Here's a little something...
...I put together a while back. It is also a bit large, but it works as a ringtone, and also as an alarm from within PhoneAlarm (where I use it to let me know when my train has arrived at my station).
It is a small clip from the Dark Side of the Moon Album by Pink Floyd ... many of you might remember the bells/clocks sequence just before the song "Time".
That album was always one of my favs, and as such, I clipped this out to use as an alarm.
Hopefully, I'm not breaking any copyright laws by posting it here. If I am, PLEASE Mods, go ahead and delete it.

I like the Nokia dead one.
But does anyone have the same concept but for a regular old school telephone ring?
Anybody back up their WM5 rings?
I'm missing some of the stock WM5 rings (like "fantasy" which I used for phone calls). Maybe someone out there backed up their WM5 files? Or can somehow upload some of the stock from their prior build?
The Windows Mobile Extras site has some free ones that are alright. I use the Halo theme from there. It's much fun.
here some i made for me and the wifey..about 30 of them. Also included 2 message tones: Homer "mail call" and star trek's "incoming transmission

Rename to .wma for the 24 CTU ringtone

My idea is to collect in one place, all best sounds for our HDs!!!
So people, if you like a sound either for alarm, sms or ringtones
lets collect them here!
Best regards!
Right, I have no idea why my HD does not pick up any mp3 tones I put on the device. Even if I copy the tones to the C:\ Any idea?!

Cheers mate.. that worked...
If you really want to find best ringtones etc you should not limit the thread to HD only. The only reason to do that would be the acoustic differences between models speakers and "sounding boards". But I can assure, these differences are SO small

This is The best, I've ever heard: View attachment Nokia_Defect.zip . First time heard in the plane (!) and all the people on board (also stewardess) did ROTFL...

That's gonna be really really amazing.

Tried it like 2 mins after they posted it up on twitter and it worked perfect. If there's any Fringe fans out there you may like the attached ringtone. I grabbed it from a rom I downloaded a while back and converted for use on WP7.
Oh my...I still wasn't able to unlock my Omnia7 with chevron-application. Always getting the USB error.
But I'd really like to have my custom ringtones
This works for me. Just dandy!!

Here is a basic ringtone. No Fur Elise, no Lady Gaga.... Just...
bleeleeleeleep .... bleeleeleeleep .... bleeleeleeleep ....
Was it sooooo much to ask for, that the phone come stock with an absolutely boring, non-personality ringtone?
Only problem I'm having is finding a converter to make them MWV
here you go , its 100% free and worked real well.
You can use (free) Microsoft Expression Encoder.

I tried this one but it isn't one for noob's ( I am that noob and I didn't understand a F*** of it )
Does the ringtone manager allow you to set your own alarm sounds / sms tones too?
No, only ringtones.
And you can only add new ringtones, not modify or delete existing.

Thx I'm gonna give it a try when I get home
Also, I think Microsoft Expression Encoder is free. You can convert.... almost anything to well... almost anything. Definitely to 48Khz WMA.
the ringtone it work.. well i added 5 personal ringtone
Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone that think otherwise...if you add 5 ringtones through the XAP and then reload an additional 5 ringtones it won't replace the ringtones, you'll get the other 5 (or more) in addition. Don't know if anyone was curious, but I was so I experimented with it.
Seeing how MS blocked/demanded they remove their other hacks, maybe someone should put a backup location for this app, just in case.

It doesn't have to be 48khz. I've loaded a few 44.1khz wmas and Chris Walsh himself acknowledged that 44.1 khz works as well in the comments.
I made these ringtones for my father who has some hearing disorder and usual ringtones are not loud enough for him. And I am sharing them with XDA community as well.
Here is the small collection of 15 classic rintones from some older phones that I pushed to the max to have maximum possible volume.
The ringtones have the following properties: 320 Kbps Stereo MP3.
Download them: View attachment 1161763
If you like them, please click on thanks button to reward me for my work.
thanks for providing these...... I'm sure they will be useful
I just bought a SIII, and I'm currently running Omega 6.0 and default ringtones are very loud for me :S I use the lowest volume level and its still louder than my Nexus S >_<

Thanks for sharing the collection. Very useful.
I developed an application to keep the time of a futsal (five vs five football) match. When we play with my friends we take in turn of five minutes the role of goalkeeper.
The app plays a sound when each turn ends, but so far we have troubles hearing it because the default ringtones are not so loud.
Would you mind if I choose one of your ringtone to embed in my application?
tks
thanks for

I still use them on my HTC One.But people dont understand they said why you purchased a phone with two speaker and use this ancient tone.I dont hear if I choose some modern ringtone which tend to be softer and absorbed by the pocket. Usually my city sound level is105db
Please..hit the thank button if I helped

Why the rude comment? You have one post here on xda and I can say it's not necessary to post remarks like the one you just posted. This is a forum that is used for helpful information and yes I and quite a few other MEMBERS do find this helpful and being hard of hearing I do applaud him for this. Being the new member that you are you should save your rude comments for another site as we here on xda like to be kind and HELPFUL to fellow members. Good day sir!
thanks!!!!
thanks
Anyone know how to get these tones to the cell phone? An easy way?
Thanks for collection:good:
Thanks! I loved A12.Electronic.mp3 the most!

So I'm planning on switching from the G3 to another phone soon, and want to take a system alarm tone with me to the next phone. Anyone know how I can go about doing that? If anyone feels kind enough to do it for me, it's the 'Country Road' alarm ringtone.
Thanks. :good:
