Two major problems with "Kavana 080330 version of 6.1"...

Thanks to all of you who work on these ROMS...I appreciate it so much!
Two problems are..
1. I am getting this error now with Kavana 080330 version of 6.1. I cannot sync with my corporate exchange server. I get the following error: ActiveSync encountered a problem on the server. Support code 0x86000108. I used another version of 6.1 and did not get this error.
2. Internet Explorer will just close on its own for no reason. This seems to happen when I am in another Internet app. Anyone else seen this behavior? I have tried two flavors of 6.1 and number 2 was exhibited in both of them.

Got past one of them..
I had to delete all of my tasks from my corporate outlook account, sync email, and then turn tasks back on. I think it has something to do with Sharepoint alerts.
Now to figure out this pesky IE problem where it is closing out. I wonder if I am hitting a hot key that I don't know about??

check your celetask hot keys.... i know double 0 was bootin me out til i changed it

KeyMapping Problem
i am not able to type the correct letters in the "numbers" section of my t-mobile dash and some other keys arent working correctly.

i had to download full et9 in beginning of his post and then edit the 409.text file

could you go step by step with the editing of the 409 file. btw did you have the same problem because im thinkings its because of me having a T-Mobile Dash

yes i have the dash..... i just took the txt file opened it and made sure letters and symbols corresponded to my keyboard. then when they did overwrote what was on there already....
i am on my phone now so i dont have the txt file handy but its easy to find on here.

Custom Note Plugin as Iconbar Replacement

This is the last of piece of crap to lay here before I move on. I'll be putting the blackjack on the auction block.
This mortscript gets data from the registry and then writes to the owner/notes plugin for the homescreen. I also included a sliding panels xml with the notes plugin in it. You can copy the notes plugin part into any home.xml your using. If you put it in a sliding panel xml, then it has to replace the iconbar, no other option for placement.
I also included a place for custom text to be entered(last pic). To edit, open the customNotes.mscr in Notepad and where you see "Enter Custom Text Here", replace what you want inside the quotes. Save it and restart the customNotes.mscr(reboot).
This Needs Mortscript installed to work, I recommend version 4.11b7.
To Install:
1) Unzip and copy the home.xml file into \application data\home folder. The .mscr and .exe file can be placed anywhere in main memory. After placing, click on the mscr file to start up the loop.
2) Create a shortcut to the exe into \windows\startup\
3) Go to Settings\Display\Homescreen and choose the customNotes xml.
To Uninstall:
1) Delete shortcut in \windows\startup\
2) Choose a new layout xml in settings
3) Delete all three files
Note: I added a alternate battery percentage mscr below. If you don't get battery percentage to show, then download it, unzip, and copy over the original customNotes.mscr.

Thank you for all your dedication & time spent fiddling with your mobile. It has let hundreds of people like myself make the most of there phones. I love modding and personalizing my mobile due to the fact of people like yourself. Being part of an underground modding community is something special. Wherever the road takes you no matter how frustrated you get with noobs, people are grateful. Others are due credit as well. I could name names....but you already should know who you are.

I can't speak for all on the forum but i'm sure we all share the same opinion that you shall me missed, you have brought many mods and tweaks to the device we all love the Dash, even though you was an imposter My device would not be as loved as it is now without all the help and support you have provided over the last couple of months. Hope that this is just a break from the Dash forum and that you will still have your input in the tech we have all got so used to.

Im using the nrg battery meter, along with this mortscript. everything else is fine i jus dont get a batter percentage it jus looks liek this ' Battery - %"
i dont see a number. suggestions?

It looks for battery info here:

I've been scrolling through the pages and can't seem to find what i'm looking for!
I'm looking to replace the standard white phonepad keyboard to a black one?

I already have the blackdialer for my phone which is great... but im looking to replace the phonepad keyboard which is used to type out SMS and Emails and looking for something similar to the blackdialer because simply... i think its pretty cool!
Any ideas anyone?

I have found that if you just take these 2 images (Assets_dialer_Normal, Assets_dialer_Pressed) from the windows folder, you can easily just take them into photoshop and then replace them on your device, I did this already and it works perfectly. Only thing is you need to use a program to replace them, such as Resco explorer, which you can download a free trial.
Now the second issue is, does anyone know what the name of the other 2 buttons are while in phone pad? They are the back button and the calls buttons, located at the bottom left and right hand sides. I want to make them black as well

I don`t know what ROM you are using but in NRG Rom`s from long time the Keypad is dark grey like black and looks very cool and also the keypad look a bit diferent than the default one so i dont know do if you have the right files and just copy over windows will work for you but if you really want this keypad i can recomend to Flash Nrg ROM

He dont need a DIALER he is talking about Keypad when you write e-mails SMS and so on so the images Asses_dialer etc are for the Manila Phone Dialer not the keyboard

Yes sorry but the post started out as Phonepad, dus I thought it was for the phone. Keyboard would be the correct word to use for this issue.
I have alos not found a solution for this one although I imagine you can do the same thing possibly?? Find the image(s) which are being used for these and update them...??

I created some phonepads myself,if you want you can create any phonepad
Its normally very easy look at this.I have to send it in a zib file otherwise it would be to big
P.S if you like it but the Assets files in your Windows directory with theTotal-commander programm ,EASY BISY
"BE CAREFUL" with overwrite the Assets files "SAFE" at first your original Assets file in case you don`t like my phonepad on you phone it looks always different on the phone as you see them on the picture

Modifying ActionMenu.dll?

Hi all,
I was trying to modify the ActionMenu that pops up when you slide the querty out. This is on a HTC S740, but I suppose it would be the same for all HTC devices with a slide out keyboard. My intention was to edit it in a way that option nr. 3 (messenger) brings up a different messenger than WLMessenger, as I never use this one.
My findings so far are that the information to the links are stored in a dll called ActionMenu in the windows folder. I was able to open it with notepad, however editing the path for the messenger somehow broke the whole dll so ActionMenu won't pop up at all anymore when sliding the keyboard open. I also tried editing it with XN Resource Editor, but there nothing is displayed. So for now I am at my wits end.
Maybe someone else could help out here? Would truly be appreciated.

ive downloaded and tried messing around with it, but im not completely sure what i need to do to make a theme with it.
is there anyone that can help me and explain how to use this program?

i have a feeling that if we learn how to use this, many amazing skins can be made for our excaliburs.

I have downloaded it...initially tried to use it to make a preliminary of my Horizon Skin (which i hope to release soon). I found that it isn't (for me atleast) worth the effort.
Maybe I am just a super-noob with it, but I found it confusing and hard to actually design panels. It didn't work by the basis of centering the main panel or putting the active panel at the top...it was more like the screen was all active panels and I would have to scroll to each one. I found it annoying, but that is my take.
If someone can figure out how to efficiently use this program, then i saw more power to them, and maybe i will try this program again.
A few notes:
-Always exit correctly, sometimes it gives an error the next time starting
-Be sure to put your Bronzeres.dll in the WINDOWS folder there (it'll add some images)
-You can replace the default background
-I think putting the cmhomeres.dll and cmhomeres.dll.0409.mui (or whatever the second is) adds some text too.
-Make a backup of your registry and put it in the windows folder, then load it (It'll enable the use of the DLL's)

i had the same issue with all the active panels, but what i did was i deactivated all the panels and just started with changing around the clock panel, so that helped.
i guess im more noob than you lol, but where is the cmhomeres.dll things? and how do you use them with the program because all i did was import a .cpr file.

Hey... when I get home I will send you the files. . . they are located in the windows folder on your phone. The file contains system text, I don't know just how much if does... but it is worth putting in.... I hope to release the Horizon theme and others soon!!!

I believe on the tools menu it has all the options "import registry" and "set background"....besides that, it reads the DLL files AUTOMATICALLY...

it asks for files called .rgu or .reg, what are those?

It actually does we just didn't name it that, but WM6.5 has suddenly become CHome and will be the reason how much users will know it as that.
Original Config - CHome Configurator for WM6.1: Version 1.1.0.5 FINAL (UPDATED - 2008/07/11)
CHome Refresh another tool we used to make the homescreen refresh.
But anyway the only way to get it is to flash 6.1 or 6.5 not available as .cab.......

On your phone go to the start menu then to Accessories, and then click RESCO REGISTRY (that is where it is on my phone). Get to the point where you see only HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CURRENT_USER or something like that...it is the highest you can go. Select all of those and select "export registry" (DONT FORGET TO SELECT ALL OF THEM). I kno the program doesn't use all of it, but it is safer that way (in my opinion)

Hmm...haha, I never got that far (didn't have the patience)
I would suppose there is a way on the FILE menu to save the CPR. Do so, then copy the CPR file to the Windows Folder on your folder.
Two notes:
1-The CPR file MUST be named (in this case for simplicity) titanium_320x240.cpr
2-BACKUP YOUR OLD ONE THAT IS ALREADY THERE!!!YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE THAT ONE!
