I just got my MDA compact IV (here in holland) as upgrade. It's all in dutch, how do I change the language? do I have to re-flash with another ROM? how do I re-install windows mobile after? How do I check if the phone is sim locked?

You will have to do a CID unlock , to flash the rom.
To unlock you need the network lock code.
Check out the thread in diamond section , there is a sticky.

Hi there. xdaunlock2 Program sucessfully unlocks my t-mobile MDA compact but will not operate on the o2 network. Model number is pm10a. If theres any settings im missing or any ideas let me know. Thanks

I baught MDA Vario from T-Mobile in Germany and want to use it also with my old SIM from O2. How can I remove the SIM-Lock. Advice will be appreciated.

You need to unlock the Country ID before flashing, if you don't do this first you could brick your phone. cid = country id i.e. locked to that country/language/vendor cid unlock for the artemis is here with USPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403

my Phone is a MDA Compact IV with original German T-Mobile ROM.
There is the new Original ROM from HTC:
RUU_Diamond_HTC_GER_1.93.407.1_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe
What must I do to flash the original HTC Rom on my T-Mobile MDA Compact?
Must I only change the HardSPL befor flashing the new ROM?
What is the right HardSPL for me?
Must it be a signed HardSPL?

Nothing......ok.
So, my MDA is now:
HardSPL 1.40 OliNex.
Radio 1.00.25.05
But always:
DIAM 200
and
ROM 1.37.111.3 T-Mobile Germany showen as 1.37.000.0 at startup
But I will flash this:
RUU_Diamond_HTC_GER_1.93.407.1....
What must i do ?
How to Change DIAM200 to DIAMXXX ?
Or, where can i get a unsigned GERMAN!!! 1.93.407.1.nhb ?

I have been given a HTC Diamond with WM6.1. It is locked to "Bouygues Telecom" in France and has the French language installed.
I need to a). Unlock the phone so it will accept my O2 SIM and b). change the language to English.
Can someone please advise how I proceed with this, many thanks in advance.
