Hello,
I just bought my new (Unlocked) T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 from e-bay . I am excited about it.
(I don't live in US)
It comes with windows mobile 6.5 Professional
ROM version - 1.91.531.4 (74508) WWE
ROM date - 12/15/09
Radio Version - 4.49.25.57
Protocol Version - 61.44tc.25.32AU
Model No : T-Mobile- Rhodium
I have learnt a lot from this forum. Now, i have a question.
Since my phone is unlocked, if i hard reset it, will it get locked again?
If it doesn't, i would like to flash a new ROM on my phone.
Can i flash good ROM like Energy on my phone.
Please don't neglect!! Please Advice!!
Thank you.

SIM unlock remains after a reflash or hard reset.
Hi everyone , sorry to bother with this totally noob question but i want to be sure about one thing , my lg g3 model number so that i can find the right roms and root guide. I bought my phone unlocked in taiwan , i was wondering if someone could tell me what i would use as my model number when searching for compatible custom roms. From what i understand i should use 10m but i wana be sure before i attempt to root. I have included an screenshot of my device info. Thanks in advance for time guys

First of all, 10m is your software version, not model number. The 10m just means you are on firmware version 10m. Seeing as you bought your phone in Taiwan, you most likely have an Asian variant such as the F400 or F400k. You may possibly have an international D855, but it's impossible to tell from your picture. Take your battery cover off and let me know what model number you see on the sticker under the battery. The same model number should be plastered all along the inside edges of the phone once the battery cover is removed as well. Like I said, it should be F400, F400k, D855, or something similar. Please let me know.
Thanks for your help. I looked behind the cover and its a D855. So when i search for compatible roms and stuff i should look for that model numer? Thanks for patience with ny ignorance man lol
Ok so thanks again for ur quick help. Ive done alot more reading now and im ready to root my phone, one thing ive had trouble finding is the stock firmware for my device if anything should go wrong or if i want to dl the OTA lollypop update i just received in the future. My current firmware is v10m-TWN-xx and i havr d855 16gb, i could only find the 32gb version. Would really appreciate it if someone lets me know where i could get the 16gb. Thanks guys!
hi guys,i know this is not such a thing to ask for..but when i usely going to buy a phone i do my reaserch and see all those comparision videos on youtube and check if there's any problems and issues with it...THE PROBLEM IIIS, when i first googled ''lg g3'' i start notice a commun issue that a lot of people having *BOOTLOOP* and it sems like there's no solutions or way to fix it. and almost
all models did have that issue...and a freind of min tells me to buy the international version ''D855'' and of course i search for it and i fund some d855 owners did have this problm too
PLEASE HELP! what model i should buy ?? or should i go with the D855!
ps: am from algeria (north africa)
thnx
About bootloop issue, there is none.Only some lg "G4" were having this issue and not "G3".
Those g3s you found having this problem would be rooted and running some custom roms or kernels.
So don't worry about it and get the d855 variant.

you don't need the d855 - just be sure to buy one that's already unlocked or unlock it yourself before you flash to a custom firmware.
you can get it unlocked for about 10$....or a bit over that. check out unlockcellphonecode.org/shop/network-unlock-codes/lg-sim-unlock-codes/lg-g3-network-unlock-code/
i got my g5 unlocked there in about 10 minutes.
Since i couldn't find any other thread about this phone i decided to make one by my own, if you have anything to say or ask about your phone's behaviour this is the place.
This thread is noob friendly!

There are 6.1 billion people in this world, and none of them even managed to unlock the bootloader, I'm already losing my hopes and starting to feel sorry for buying this mobile model ...

All the 6.1 billion don't own this phone lol. Even when LG K10 (2016) was released, I could release the bootloader unlock with the help of my friend after a year .i.e this February/March 2017.
After that I built TWRP for K10 for Qualcomm models and made it official. They are achievements. Now, we are working on LineageOS/Resurrection Remix Nougat versions for K10 (2016) Qualcomm even though LG has not released any Nougat related stuff for K10 (2016) Indian and European Models. There is lot of time being spent for building, testing ROMS and other stuff even if LG officially doesn't support bootloader unlock.
If you have the will, then search forums on XDA for similar SoC your phone has and then find out how they have unlocked their bootloader if their company doesn't support it officially. It is one of the best ways to learn how Android works too.

How to unbrick hard brick lgk10
I have a hard bricked lg k10 no dowload, no charging, nothing, I was trying to downgrade so i could root it (because of the damned 2017 february update) lg up asked if i wanna change the partition ( I think it was the laf partition) and ended up hard bricked. So I read and read here on the forums and saw that others had unbrick hard bricks with qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 mode but there was no info on how to test point/ short point the lgk10 cpu to get this mode so I started downloading images of other lgs motherboard phones that showed the test points and with a little bit of logic and patience I found it. So now I achived qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 mode and I know I have to flash the cpu with qfil or similar flash loader (there are a few of them) in order to get download mode back but im lost on how to do this with the lgk10. I have read all of the other post where they do this with a number of different lgs and but im lost. Some of the flash loaders ask for firehose file I dont know what is this but I tried with firehose msm8916 (that is the model of the cpu) but no luck.
I know how to flash the kdz with lg up I just need dowload mode again.
Im guessing I have to extract some files from the kdz with lg firware extractor, compile them and flash them with the cpu flasher but ,how do I do this? Im lost
Can you guide me on the process? Wich tools do I need?
Hi. Yesteday I finally decided to install the update that was popping up on my screen for the last month nearly. So yeah after the update the phone would not detect my SIM, so I tried restarting a couple of times, putting airplane mode on and off a few times, changing sim cards to make sure it wasnt the sim, but yeah nothing. Its would be very weird for it to be the SIM socket when I hadnt even touched it and its only having this problem after updating.
So I went on to LG-Firmwares and flashed with LG-UP a couple of firmwares (took me 5 hours, because i bricked the phone in the first try) and well after succesfully flashing other offitial ROMS SIM Cards are still not detected....
