I bought one of these and the concept is good but the quality is rubbish.
As I'm out of the office a lot I used an extended battery and my Dopod P800W still fits in the case section of this one. Unfortunately the credit card slots are super small and thin, Getting a card is in an accomplishment, getting it out again without using pliers is near impossible. Yes it will probably loosen up over time but I'll probably snap a card first.
The slot with the window (for an ID card or license) is shorter than a standard card so the end of the card sticks out just short of the zip. Last complaint is the material is a very cheap fake leather.
If the same design was made properly it would suit me well as it could carry my frequently used travel cards such as corporate credit card, hire car ID, drivers license, frequently flyer membership card all with my phone.
If you know of other options to this one please post.
Here are some other cases but I do not know if they will fit the Artemis.

Thanks.
Your 3rd link is for the case I bought and it really is rubbish.
1st link is for a different size phone.
2nd link only has the one card slot.
Thanks anyway.
Funny, i had the same problem exactley!!!
Try this Chanel Line Cambon Zipped wallet. If you dont like this specific model, you have planty of more!!!
Artemis Wallet.
Best ones I have seen are from Krusell
They are expensive, but the leather is really good and the manufacturing is excellent.

I have seen them online in several places, but also in stock in local electronics stores in my city at a much more reasonable price. Not for all telephone models, tough...

Has anyone used this case? I bought the kickstand case and after 3 weeks the bottom half of the kickstand broke off. I was thinking of getting the credit card case because in L.A. we have these things called Tap cards for bus passes. You just tap it onto a sensor and it'd be easier for me to tap my phone and put the card in the slots. Is the case fine? Is the plastic between the slots and the back of the thick or just right for sensors to maybe reach it?
Sorry for writing so much!
Thank You.

I don't know about those cases but that's a great idea! I wouldn't mind having one for a pay pass debit card. They work on the same concept.

i have the case mate for the mt4g. it hold up to 3 cards. works amazingly. not sure about your bus pass though
I've used that case since December of last year. It's a really nice case and it holds 2 cards, but I managed to fit one more, lol. As far as the Tap card goes, I'm not sure. Never tried it. I always had the Tap in my pocket. Not so sure if it'll work since it is a little thick.
I have one really convenient
Where did you guys find this case with credit card slot?
please link.
^google "casemate mytouch 4g"
I love mine, had it on since I bought phone last year. It is only good for 2 cards though, I have found 3 makes it too tight to pull them out. It has literally saved my phone from a lot of damage.

Planning on picking this up at local TMO store today after work. They have em on sale for $15, and my best skins ever is peeling off, so I figured why not? I like the idea of the card holder...any more updated reviews on this case? Does it protect decently? Not too bulky?
UPDATE in case anyone reads this thread: The $15 price was only for online TMO, in-store was still $35. But I wound up getting it on Amazon for $10
Quick review: Love the case. It adds a little bulk to the back of the phone (due to the slot for cards), but not much - and I consider it worth it because I can fit: my drivers license, my bank card, my metro pass, and my gym key card all in the space provided; which means I don't have to carry my wallet around, so the slight bump in the back of the phone is worth it to me. (Side note that makes this case more beneficial: there's growing evidence to support that carrying a wallet in your back pocket can lead to serious back problems).
Hi There!
A few years ago I bought for my HD2, a air vent holder which has proved to be excellent. Recently I tried to move it to a new car, and broke a peice. I thought replacing the holder would be easy but most are junk compared to what I had. It's one bit that is broken and I am hoping someone might be able to look at this picture and tell me what this part is called or described as so I can just get another.

From the original which is :

I just one of those little spring clamps. I otherwise like my existing holder and I don't want one of the others which aren't as good (It's not about the price).
Anyone able to assist?

both your links are dead.
Sorry about that, fixed now.
The first picture has changed from the original, but it's the little spring bits separate from the holder I'd like to replace, or if I can find something similar to the original I'll take that as well.
I don't like suction cap options.
No-one able to assist with locating a similar peice or item?
Thanks if you can assist.
Hi,
i think it would be much easier to buy a new holder, than to look for a spare part to your holder..
or try to search in ebay for similar ones... something form china, so you dont have to spend much money for shipping. there you should find hundreds of different mounting systems. for example this one:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/for-HTC-Incr...084?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fbeb7afc
i think its a similar one, though it doesnt have a spring system. but i think this small plug should fit with your system...
Anybody heard of this new car mount yet?
Steelie Mobile Device Holder
They also have an iPad tabletop stand.
Just ordered the car kit cause It looks like a great product. I love this idea!!!
The best thing is that if you send them your case. They'll punch a hole in it so that the magnet can mount straight to the phone and is a little more discrete.
They were originally on Kickstarter and almost doubled their goal.
Just wanted to post/support a (what seems to me like a great product) that is MADE IN THE U.S.A.
What do you guys think?
And no I am not affiliated with them in any way.

That's unfortunate. Did you try to email them to see if they can help you with possibly offering different shipping options?
Saw these guys at a small town fair in Louisville, CO a week ago. Looked like a good product and the guys who own the company were very enthusiastic and helpful. I specifically asked about GPS interference etc. and they said they'd evaluated several phones with no issues.
I also expressed concern about the size/thickness of the engagement point on the phone and they said that they were working on a lower profile version.
Would really like to see these guys do well. Another small business emerging from middle-class America. Gotta love that.
Similar idea to tetrax, but may be easier to find a mounting spot since it looks like it doesn't need the same sq inch spot if you're not using the vent mounted version.
Wow, this is awesome and perfect for my needs! Just went in for one!
I have a window mount currently but it's a pain if I want to rotate it at all because you have to loosen the ball joint and then tighten it back up. And it's almost impossible to do it with the phone in the holder while keeping it at the angle you want.
That, and the suction cup will fall off from time to time. I've also gotten "yelled at" by a cop for having it up as well, so this will "obstruct my view" way less!
This is so much simpler to use, even though it will add a slight bit of bulk.

Thanks for posting about this here, Iv been researching this product everywhere that I can, but its a hard product to find info about, and whats even worse is that the company has not returned my calls or emails in 3 days since contacting them. Either way I found the steelie product on sale here and I already bought it. http://www.123inkcartridges.ca/accessories-product/ST_C.html and now Im hoping it can be used with my galaxy note i717. Now this is a big phone, probably the biggest and heaviest on the market and im worried it will not work. Does anyone know if my phone will work? Also the steelie on this website looks different than all the other steelie pictures iv found, is the one I bought an older or newer version of the steelie? I already contacted 123 ink cartridges and they assured me that its not counterfeit.
Let us know how the thing feels with a big ol', honkin' magnet on the back of it. I'm intrigued, but think having a magnet the size of a 50-cent piece on the back of my GNex would make my having a pretty custom case rather pointless.
The site also says it doesn't interfere with NFC. I'm dubious and would love to hear from some third parties.

NEVER MIND! the one i bought was a counterfeit... lame. oh well im getting a refund on it.
Any updates?
I see that they offer the Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket for purchase by itself, but dont see it listed for sale anywhere. Would be nice for different cell phone uses that drive the same car. I guess you could always mount it to a easy to swap out phone case if you have the same phone as other users.
MOUNTEK MT5000
What is it?
The revolutionary MOUNTEK MT5000 car holder will hold virtually any small portable electronic device (up to 4.3" or 110mm), such as cellular phones, GPS receivers, satellite radio players and more! It uses NO suction cups, NO clips, NO screws, and it requires NO tools. Best part, it won't obstruct your view of the road. This one installs directly into your CD player slot or in between the grooves of your dash.
And in case you are wondering, the plastic blade is not long enough to activate the auto loading function of your CD Player or cause any damage.
Read more on the Mountek site.
If it's so great, why am I selling it?
I purchased this mobile phone (or gps) holder based upon the raving reviews on various forums and Amazon.com and the fact that I never use my CD Player. It arrived today and I must say, it truly is a quality holder with a very clever, yet simple, design. However, my car radio is recessed quite a bit into the dash which means that the holder won't slot into my CD slot . Gutted as I have to carry on making do with my vent holder.
Read reviews on Amazon.com and search the forum for reviews from fellow members too.
How much?
So, here it is for sale, already imported from the USA, brand new and packaged at £20.00 incl. p&p.
VERY interesting, looks like a great position for the phone to be at also. single-din players may suffer from being blocked though lol
wonder if this is going to come over here....or will the knockoffs arrive first. heh.

There's a thread in the car dock area, but I will say I have one and it's pretty nice. It'll depend on your dashboard though.
It will obviously block the controls above the cd slot - if those are important to you, then that's a problem. (it's not for me, and I rather like this holder).

I got mine in yesterday, and it works great! I will get a pic of it tomorrow and post it. Bought it on Amazon, $20. I actually placed it in a CD changer, and not in my main stereo. It doesn't budge at all.
Still available.
Apologies for not checking my PM's to those of you who were interested in this before, bugger! Will setup email alerts now. So, this is still available and would make a fabulous Christmas present as well .
I'll take it!
Yup... been looking for one today. Just PM'ed you...
Sold. To a guy who only lived 20min away. Small world!
I'm surprised I didn't see this question already when I searched. Maybe I am blind.
I want to get a One X (or maybe a One X+ depending on price and release date), I have been dragging my feet because I swap phones often (I have a really old Nokia GAIT phone that pop my current SIM into so I can I take that phone with me out on my JetSki so I won't ruin a good phone and I keep my teeny Aria in my bag for when my Inspire battery dies).
I have seen adaptors for sale online and I've seen videos how to make adaptors, but I have seen mixed reviews on them. Does anyone here have personal experience?
Thank you.
The two SIMs are the same thickness but the adaptor has to increase that, so you get mixed results depending on how the SIM fits into the phone and how much space there is.
I tried several before finding one that worked in my phone.
Like the poster above me said, it depends on the adapter and phone. I bought a cheap one from a local shop for a couple of dollars, looks very similar to those found on eBay, it has a very thin plastic layer where the micro SIM fits, so doesn’t add much thickness. Has worked fine with the few devices I tested so far (2 phones and a USB mobile broadband modem). With one of the phones it was a very tight fit, but managed to push it in and take it out. but be careful not to put too mush pressure, otherwise you might not be able to get it out.
When you cut your regular sim down to a micro sim, save the pieces and just tape it back to together. Worked fine for me. Make sure you use a strong tape though, otherwise you'll have pieces of sim card stuck in your slot.
Go to Vodafone (or your local carrier's store) when I went back to regular SIM, all I had to do was ask, and they gave me a free adapter. Worth asking
Otherwise, I think they go for 50 cents or maybe 1 euro at your local electronics store.

Presumably a new phone would come with the proper SIM so I wouldn't have to cut mine (I have a small stack of old ones from every new phone purchase). But even if I did have to cut my own, I'd rather try to avoid the tape idea because of that exact reason.

I just wandered into a local phone accessory store and told them I'd buy one if it worked, she wasn't pleased but by about the third one we got one that fitted.
My microsim came as a pop out from a normal size sim and can just be placed back to work as full size sim
