I bought the North American Version of the Diamond (lil bit thicker and with NA 3G Bands) and I'm wondering if these offerings will work with it without bricking it...
I had a previous bad experience flashing an Elf ROM onto my Elfin, which bricked it. I need to be sure this time. I searched the forum and google but could not come up with an answer...

I bought a north american version of the Touch Diamond....I have updated it at least 20 times,tried out different roms....and still kicking.....all you gotta do is follow the steps.
-I used Olipro´s unlock tool and NO problem whatsoever.

From reading the Sticky it appears to unlock your phone for use with other SIM cards...

So everything is fine...
I flashed to radio 1.25.0.05 (I think that's the number, I will update my signature soon) and started with dutty's v2.1 (I always liked his ROM's for previous phones I had...
Will inevitably try others and I advise you to do the same. As it says it the ROM flashing sticky there is no BEST ROM... it's all a personal choice...

well I'm not sure but all I know is that the latest one on wm6 is 1.22.531.4.
I have had a dash for awhile now and about a month ago. It got stolen so HTC insurance company sent me a new one with a little cash but this new one ca me with wm6 rom version 1.22.531.6 wtf I never seen that. And I want to know what's new with this the radio? I don't really know but No Im not starting a rumor I just checked my phone with my sister's she bought hers from T-Mobile and hers is wm6 with 1.22.531.4 wtf? what's new with this? any1?

No we are only talking about the T-Mobile Rom wm6...
Of course different Roms means different Version number, They have correspondants but obviously Rom:1.22.531.6 is brand new for T-Mobile Dash WM6 ...
While the new ROM is nice, the key thing here are the individual revision numbers:
CE OS?
Radio?
RIL?
How much available storage? Etc...

Well I have it but I don't even know....I'm hoping someone knows better than me.
Makes me wonder if they finally fixed that annoying MyFaves bug that prevented you from changing the icons... unfortunately, T-Mo's download center is only showing 1.22.531.4 for downloading.
i got my dash about a month ago and its got original rom that came from t mobile installed.. its a stock tmobile wm6 rom version 1.22.531.6 the radio version is 4.1.13.34_02.79.90 not sure wat all this means but if it helps u guys ill post the info needed off of my fone ..now i never any problems doing the things i wanted to do with the fone nor i have experienced any difficulties installing progs and changing registry info after i have app unlocked it, and my fone has never frozen .. not sure of differences between roms and such but im just posting this info up so that hopefully maybe it'll help some of u.. just offering my services to you all

I could also extract my original (german) htc rom - but i do not know how. if someone can put me in the right direction, i will do this.

So it seems that YOU have to dump your rom However I did read that a higher number (1.37.407.2 > 1.37.00.00) does not inevitable imply a newer rom. Does someone know something about that?
Anyway I ask myself how it could be that the phone is out just a few days in germany and there are almost so much different rom versions?
Btw: Do you have an original HTC device or a branded one?

I went to a dealer and got a rom dump and rebuild with cmonex's help Thanks a bunch cmonex for helping me ...
this is a big storage rom so you will have a little extra space as well...

i got for INR 27,000 /- , i think when airtel announced HTC diamond back in May they said the cost would be 27,500/-

it does not unlock the phone it restores those that flashed with a non edge radio rom so the radio stops working
need airtel rom base / drivers
and where is me_p's rom mine is 1.37.702.x (forget the last one )

That's why i mentioned that Me_p's ROM is new one.. That's the same one 1.37.720.2 WWE.. Boinger66.. Dont think this is old ROM as quoted by Outkasted..
I bought mine one for 26,700, from distributor directly.. Eagerly waiting to see it on 8th when i get it in hand (my relative coming back with it from Kerala)

Why is it not advised for flashing? Due to SIM locks? Someone mentioned non edge radio, what if i flash the rom without the radio? possible?

until you flash back to indian 2g compatible rom

With the new radio 1.00.25.05
it removes the region lock that prevented us from flashing various 3g roms
so no more need to convert for me

i doubt it Removes / changes the CID or the Security Level without the radio being patched.

fair enough, It also not supposed to "unlock" 850MHz bands for so called "tri-band" Diamonds missing 850MHz antenna all the way
If this radio removes regional protection, then it worth to investigate. We need more info.

So basically Diamond in India which is 2G rite .., can be flashed with all ROMS now ..
I haven't got the device yet so unsure .. , Indian phones lack 3g Hardware is that correct ?

But 1,93 isn't really that up to date, is this the only post containing original roms that you guys know off, because i've used the search function a billion times by now, with a dictionary full of keywords, but i haven't found anything higher than 1,93.

That's why i started this thread really, I just want the official rom on it again, so i can enjoy the 'functionallity' that it should have.
I'm not saying that those custom roms suck or something, i LOVED using them, really! But im thinking of selling my phone, and i don't want to sell it disfunctioning.

These are obviously newer than the ones found in the link i posted earlier. I found a 2.03 version in that post which is Dutch, so if this is the latest we can get in Holland, i'll be definatly downloading that version.
