[ROM][IND]Indian 2G Diamond Ship

I went to a dealer and got a rom dump and rebuild with cmonex's help Thanks a bunch cmonex for helping me ...
this is a big storage rom so you will have a little extra space as well...
Here is the link for anyone that did end up flashing with some custom roms on the forums...

thx m8 for all the efforts and the upload...
though i must add that i hate HTC for launching a 2g model alone and then too it has the old ROM....
they still think they can get away by ignoring the major indian market [email protected]!

Does that mean that it unlocks airtel lock??

i got for INR 27,000 /- , i think when airtel announced HTC diamond back in May they said the cost would be 27,500/-

it does not unlock the phone it restores those that flashed with a non edge radio rom so the radio stops working
need airtel rom base / drivers
and where is me_p's rom mine is 1.37.702.x (forget the last one )

That's why i mentioned that Me_p's ROM is new one.. That's the same one 1.37.720.2 WWE.. Boinger66.. Dont think this is old ROM as quoted by Outkasted..
I bought mine one for 26,700, from distributor directly.. Eagerly waiting to see it on 8th when i get it in hand (my relative coming back with it from Kerala)

tho am in India i got the 3g model
I really dont understand why they would release a 2g version just for the Indian market
when 3g is gonna come out in airtel and vodafone in mid sep.another wierd marketing strategy

We can never expect ROM upgrades.. Got my Diamond today.. Awesome. Was about to flash Bepe' ROM and halted after reading this thread..
Why is it not advised for flashing? Due to SIM locks? Someone mentioned non edge radio, what if i flash the rom without the radio? possible?

if you flash your radio wont work
until you flash back to indian 2g compatible rom

Thanx for the info.. So I have your modded panosha' ROM as the only option left? For the moment I dont see any big difference with it to the original stock rom apart from a little more Storage memory. Only thing I dislike is the SMS and MMS accounts being together

am very much new to this windows mobile thing and i have bought a diamond 2 days back..i need to unlock the airtel lock that has come with my diamond..
how can i do so? is this ROM flashing will solve the problem or do it need to do something else?

as of now you cannot unlock unless you pay tupsidin for unlock

I updated my jasjam with Win mob black (looks nice)
i wanted to know whats the difference between radio rom and normal rom like wm black . .. . which one is beter . .
if Radio rom upgrade is better then give link to the best rom available ?

Before you put up any more post please READ THE WIKI
What country are you from and see from the WIKI what is the latest release of the WM6 ROM come with, chances are that will be the best radio for you.
Please read the WIKI!! To make sure that you are flashing the correct ROM to the right DEVICE!!

If you had truly read the wiki then you would understand that the imate brought out the 1.54.30.10 radio with the latest ROM upgrade here
Release thread was here. Now do a careful upgrade and report what's it like in Pakistan

allow me to help because it seems like you've gotten lost in translation and this is getting out of hand.
if you flashed your Black Satin rom then you obliviously know what you're doing to some degree. in regards to your radio rom question: flashing a radio rom does not effect the OS rom you have (black satin). the only thing flashing the radio rom does effect is your phones cellular radio, i.e., your carrier signal strength, data connection speed. since im in Philadelphia i cant really help you decide on which radio will work best in your area. i can only point you here

these are the known radio roms available for the Hermes. at best, i can say start with 1.47.XX and see what works best for your area. good luck to you.

Hmm ... I am in New Zealand, and I am testing the latest radio rom, and it is working well, what works well for one country may not work for others, I would stick to the one the manufacturer's made for you. It is good for you to flash a shipped rom for your device first then any other rom you wish to keep after that. FYI I have an imate jasjam and I am running the latest radio, but doesn't mean that you should too.

he hit the nail on the head. im using the "newest" radio myself and i must say battery life is excellent and im picking up an extra bar here in Philly (USA). i say try it for 2 days then make your own call

If there isn't a Radio produced by a carrier in Pakistan then you are going to have to try a few Radios to see which one is best for you. Please use a MicroSD card to update your Radio as we don't want your next thread title to be "Please help, I bricked my phone".

try 1.54 or 1.48 radio. 1.54 is the orginal shipped radio for 8525 wm6 from at&t/cingular. i remember using that one in India, and it worked just fine for me.

Just one further note please try and be honest when you post your problems/ questions. Detail your phone make and model, and the current ROM and Radio rom you have.
And then we can try and help you, otherwise, I am sorry we left our crystal ball at .... oh hang on ai6908 stole my crystal ball!

well i always have my crystal ball handy

As mentioned by some of the great members like Wam7, Zocster, and thunda_chunky, read as much as you can before flashing a new radio ROM. So much of what goes on here is trial and error. All you can do is try to eliminate the error. I am running the same radio as Zocster, 1.56.70.11, and it holds the highest signal strength of any previous radio I've had. That doesn't mean it will for you depending on your carrier and location.

mikehippe, Agreed, I'm trying out 1.56.70.11 on my jasjam and though others say its awesome, I'm not too impressed by it here in Oz... Oh well, back to 1.54.30.10.....

Funny that CRCinAU not liking that radio either.

Will North American Diamond Work With Custom ROM'S...?

I bought the North American Version of the Diamond (lil bit thicker and with NA 3G Bands) and I'm wondering if these offerings will work with it without bricking it...
I had a previous bad experience flashing an Elf ROM onto my Elfin, which bricked it. I need to be sure this time. I searched the forum and google but could not come up with an answer...

Btw I mean the North American GSM version of the Diamond. Not the Victor (CDMA:Sprint, Telus and Bell)

I flashed mine with no problem at all, just make sure you HARD-SPL your diamond first.

Which ROM have you flashed?

I just got my U.S. 3G Diamond also.Please let me know which ROM work's the best,also which Radio is best,THANKS

I bought a north american version of the Touch Diamond....I have updated it at least 20 times,tried out different roms....and still kicking.....all you gotta do is follow the steps.
-I used Olipro´s unlock tool and NO problem whatsoever.

I currenly use PDAMOBIZ rom, in my personal opinion is the best of all the roms (I tried almost everyone of them)

From reading the Sticky it appears to unlock your phone for use with other SIM cards...

So everything is fine...
I flashed to radio 1.25.0.05 (I think that's the number, I will update my signature soon) and started with dutty's v2.1 (I always liked his ROM's for previous phones I had...
Will inevitably try others and I advise you to do the same. As it says it the ROM flashing sticky there is no BEST ROM... it's all a personal choice...

You can't. Indian Diams are usually 2G.
Don't flash Radios/ROMs from this forum or you'll brick your device.

I am India 2G user myself and have flashed the latest Blackstone radio posted in Diamond forum (not the SU radio since I dont have security unlocked yet)
I wont suggest any best roms or radios. That is left to the best of your experience

it is incorrect .. i am having one and have been flashing almost all the ROms out here , ... It is only that the 3g network key ( registery ) is locked and it does not work ...
I have been flashing Roms from major players here and there is absolutely no issues .. see my signature for the latest ROM .
3g and video call options doesnt work ( as it is not network supported and d as there is no secondary camera )
3g is just an optional just like wifi , if the network supports only it works ... i have been receiving phone calls even with the 3g button on on my com manager .
Only challange is the battery .. you will have to buy the 1400mh bigger battery and back panel for a decent battery backup ... its around 2 k out here .... i say go ahead buddy ... its all good out here with our diamond .

Spl - 1.93.0000
Rom - 1.93.720.2 WWE
Radio - 1.00.25.07
Protocol - 52.29.25.12G
i want to upgrade my phone to custom Roms...but i hv no idea that , which SPL , Radio and Rom should i use...
so please help me out by suggesting that which SPL, Radio n Rom should i go for...
any help is much appreciated......thanks in advance ....!!!

i hv read this for almost like 30-40 times....but still cant decide......that which would b good for my configuration..!!!

It just depends what you want.
Do you want a light rom or a full rom? I think you should choose a 2.03 rom for example the Aztor X2 WWE. If you don't like it you can always choose an other rom.

if i hspl my device..
can i get my original spl, Radio etc by using Stock Rom Upgrade, which is available at HTC India ???

If you cant figure out what is best for you just by reading the loads of help and stickied threads, maybe you should not be doing this to your phone.
IMHO, you should install the dev hardspl as the other one will severely limit what you can do. I noticed your in India, is your device a 3g diamond? If not, you will need to do more reading.

Traditionally, you can get back to the original SPL but it's very crucial that you find this out for sure as it's ultimately your responsibility if anything happens. I read for days before crossing the line.

No...my device isnt 3G...thts y m getting so much confused...cuz all thes Roms r lookin for 3G
while i just hv triband phone
