Hi lot of people (I'm one of them) looking for some solution to not pay and make simlock away from theirs i780 , eny ideas for this ? Master unlocking code for all this machines or software tool to do this ? From the way as working all online unlokers is probably some simlock calculator . I'm sure if i don't find a way here on XDA-developers I don"t find it at all.

try to flash your phone with official unbranded firmware e.g DXHL2

Guys I need some help. I know this is more of a PPC phone place and the smartphone forum isn't the most happenin' place, but I just got my Dopod S300 yesterday, and I need to figure out how to CID-Unlock it as the main ROM is in Chinese (though I can access English), and there's a WWE rom out there, but I get "Invalid Device ID" when flashing. I hate asking for help, but I would truly appreciate any help. Thanks guys.

I know this isn't the most popular phone yet, but the C500 got CID Unlocked and so did the Tornado, so I'm "hoping" this can get unlocked soon.

I spent a lot of hours, days, reading the posts on the forum about the Universal and upgrading it. I didn't find some answers.
I still have some open questions that I request your help in order to have a safe upgrade.
I have a Qtek 9000, that is SimLock.
I would like to Upgrade to an AKU 3.5 ROM or to one Crossbow ROM ( still under assessment)
Now my questions:
To upgrade,
I will have to upgrade bootloader, because since Aku 3.2 Rom , it needs to be 1.01. That is clear.
Edit: Opsss tried bottloader for first time and my version is 2.01 So no bootloader upgrade, but new question:
Sim Unlock works with bootloader 2.01?
1 - Do I need to SIMUNLOCK before ROM or Radio ROM upgrade? If yes:
- I will need an oficial radio ROM. Which one? Are 1.13 or 1.14 is OK?
- Must I first Simunlock and only after upgrade the bootloader?
2 -Country Code error, what is it? (Solved)
Edit : About Country error, no specific answer, but i got almost what I looked for.

I'm afraid you didnt took your best sshot at searching, cuz 3 or 4 post above yours is a topic called "problems with upgrading?"
in this topic you will find the info AND tools you need to succesfully upgrade..
I don't know about the simlock thing, i flashed mine with the simlock on, to a cooked rom, and it works, but don't blame me if it F*CKS up your mobile i suggest that you do a bit of research in that part..
Country id error:
You get that when you try to install a rom that is from a different manufacturer/country then yours, to solve this problem look at this link

I know how to solve the country error, I just would like to get more info about it.
About the other post, I will look for it, but when i made search ( last time was the last week) I didn't find the answers i look for.

1. I agree with bastiaanoskam cause I think almost any question about upgrading the Universal has been answered before in this forum.
2. I don't see the need to unlock your device if you don't want to change your current provider.
3. As far as I understand the country error is due to a change in the original language for which your device was thought (look for MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe) i.e. you have a Japanese device and want to upgrade to WWE version.
4. About the bootloader, I just saw one ROM that is said it requires to upgrade your bootloader to 1.01, it was a preview AKU3.2 from i-mate but I don't really know if the upgrade is really needed. I have read it's not needed for Crossbow and also for custom cooked AKU3.5 but again every new cooked ROM usually has a thread so you can find answers there.

1 - I do agree that there is a lot of info about the upgrade process, I just didn't find the answer for what I'm looking for.
2 - I didn't find a post where is stated that the device should be unlock to install the new ROM, but I also din't find the oposite, so my doubt.
3 - It seems that I should try first and if I get the error, go for the alternative method. I woul like to jump this step, but if there isn't other way, well, that's life
4 - Maybe it's a bad interpretation on my side of the wiki post. Porbably only some I-mate based roms need the bottloader upgrade.

Dont know why but did a very stupid upgrade yestoday.I think I used a wrong MaUpgradeUt_noid.exe(XDAII version) to flash the wm6 rom for my imate.!!!
There is no bootloader now even I do a POwer+lighting+Softreset. I did a search on the site .I realized that I might damaged my bootloader . also I know it is hard to find a way to fix it by myself. but I 'm still hope someone do a favour!!!

I've got a SoftBank X02HT with the text in Japanese (I think...) and, i don't know how I could install a new firmware or something, to run it in english.
Besides this, I've rebooted it (Holding pressed the buttons above start and end call, and pressing the ON/OFF button) and I tried to run it with my SIM, but it request me a USIM code (I suppose this, because USIM word appears between thousands of Japanese characters). Is this an big issue?
Could someone help me to get and install a new software without this problem??

dude it would be great if u can dump the softbank rom. pls refer to the other thread on d how to. well maybe ur dev have not been sim unlock i dunno bout sim unlocking but if u want to install other rom it wont b a prob since there is a hard spl for tis dev also refer the other thread in the forum
I tried many things as unlock the applications (SDAUnlock and many similar .cabs), tried to change the registry (With 3 different programs), but I can't again ... I tried to install the ROMs which are in the XDA ftp, but still not working. Also I tried a MS application called MS Security Tool, and it doesn't work too...
Any idea?? Cruzzmz, Could you give me more info. about dumping my ROM? I'm new here, and I don't know much about those things..

i think ur rom is still sim lock dunno bout sim unlocking mayb u can chk the other thread.
As for trying to install other new or shipped roms, u need to do a hard spl pls refer to the sspl thread
wm6.1 rom, pls refer to the wm6.1 thread.
for dumping ori rom there is a thread also by me on the how to
hopefully u will suceed wz all the above, pls take ur time to read the thread

it said to provide patch for unlock. i tried to buy it and try to unlock but its fail.
I should get more information before i purchase that patch. there are many people to be deceived. but some people of them are provided FW to sim unlocked... means they know how to unlock sim.
be careful. after applying their patch, i cant complete Jump-SPL at all.

I've just bought an HTC 8S but it's modified by the operator (SFR France).
I would like to know if there is a way to install a "stock" rom without any modification because the operator apps are really annoying and there is no way to uninstall them. Also, the phone is SIM locked, is there a way to unlock it ?
