Sprint Diamond - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

what roms will work on a sprint diamond?

Its almost not worth looking in here for CDMA ROMs. The mods dont seem interested in giving us a subforum for CDMA diamonds, and thus theres no interest by the cookers to offer in here. Try PPC geeks.

Which roms for Sprint CDMA?

Well I've had my Diamond 3 days and I'm horrified by the battery life even with the 1350mah battery. I've heard that the new roms help improve battery life, but are any of the roms here usable on the new Sprint CDMA models.
That is the same question I was about to ask!! I want up flash my phone but I was wondering which ROMs are best for the Sprint Diamond.
you guy should check this link out, it's for the juicy rom, which is for cdma diamond on telus and sprint

best rom for cdma Diamond?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a better rom for my CDMA diamond but I've never done it and the tutorial is for non CDMA phones. Can anyone tell me the best roms to choose from for CDMA and what to expect? I also dont understrand fully how the upgrade will effect my carrier specific functions on the phone like Data, SMS/MMS and Calls. I use Cellular South as my carrier and I never see anything about them on the forums. Its usually sprint or alltell when discussing CDMA phones. Sorry for the noob questions but how els you gonna learn right?
No such thing........besides, this forum is mainly for GSM devices.
All chefs work really hard and such a question is subjective in it's own right.
Question not permitted.
best?????????
these questions are not welcome here
always end in a flame war....so thread closed

Two short newbie questions

Greetings,
I had been with verizon (and its absorbed predecessors) virtually my entire mobile life, but left 1-3/4 years ago because verizon locks down their hardware and I wanted the freedom to install what I want. With this, to get the Tilt (HTC Kaiser), I had to go to AT&T.
AT&T service in Southern California is awful; and I get 0 signal within 4 blocks of my home. I guess I need to go back to Verizon.
I have been searching and searching this thread for some answers to some simple questions and perhaps I am using the wrong terms, so I hope some kind soul can answer (rather than flame).
1) I know Verizon is CDMA so I believe I need to search for cooked Roms which say CDMA. Will all cooked Roms labeled CDMA work with Verizon? Is there any one in specific that will?
2) I have read a ton of threads about people bricking their Diamond because of flashing the wrong HardSPL. Is there a HardSPL specific for Verizon
That's it really. If I know I can HardSPL and flash a cooked Rom on Verizon, I can return.
Thank you!
Ok, not one of the biggest experts here but with this i can help you:
1) IF you Change the HardSPL at your diamond all CDMA roms will work. If you don't only the official CDMA HTC ones, not the cooked ones.
2) No, there is'nt a specific for verizon. There's a GSM and a CDMA version of the HardSPL. Make sure you pick the right one, and after that, only CDMA roms.
Unfortunately for you, XDA is more specialized in GSM rom cooking, but there's a good forum for CDMA, PPCgeeks. At this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35839
you'll find the HardSPL for CDMA users and at the "CDMA Diamond upgrade" session you'll find many Roms and Radios.
Good luck!

TP2 6.5 roms for TMO USA

I'm a bit confused with all the 6.5 roms available now. Which ones are compatible with the 3G radio in the US TMO TP2?
I have been using NRG's Energy Rom, it is really rocks!! way cooler than the stock Tmo rom.
Be sure you do the Hard spl first.
actually, any of the ROMs you see thus far can be used with TMO TP2. I personally am using Atom's and it's by far the best!

Lack of Sprint roms?

I've noticed that no devs are really supporting any Sprint versions of their roms, is this common?
Not just sprint. T-mobile seems to be the only carrier that has active roms being made for the S6...and not a whole bunch available for it either. We wait.
